Good morning, Loungettes! I had a wonderful sleep in until almost 7 am. YEAH! Yesterday I just felt so amazing, and had such a great day at work. It's all coming together, and I'm anxious to get going with my own caseload. The laptop/tablet they've given me is awesome, the iPhone should be just as awesome. Now, to get the housework caught up this weekend. . .

Mrs. Vino--Aggie fairs are fun, but hard on the diet, aren't they? The pizza sounds very, very yummy, can I get her recipe??? And thanks for bumping me into the pool, gives me an excuse to get another dwinky!

ORLA--getting strong before the next surgery will help you a lot. I'm also praying they stay in this next time.

Mema--I'm still praying for your neighbor. Sometimes things that sound bad turn out to be not so bad, hopefully this will happen for him. There is power in prayer!

Juliet--the MRI in November was suboptimal and you're getting the notice in August? 9 months later?????? If you've already had treatment based on the Nov one do you really need to do it again now? Hmm, it could be a good way to get a free follow up scan, though. What exactly does the protocol not set correctly mean? I know I've lost faith in most of the health care system, but the more I hear about things like this the more I worry. Not enough chocolate in the world to help with this kind of thing!

Chrissy--is that you and Mr. Bigger giggling behind the bar? He really should put up some dwinkies before disappearing, but I bet you didn't give him time! Hee hee!

Wahine--Fred bread sound really good! There's a small group of monks that have a bakery in town, called Daily Bread. Their bread is sold locally and is also very good. The have white, oatmeal, and rye regularly, other types from time to time.

Mema--Oh my, what bad news about Lamar. Patty really will need you when she gets back home and I'm glad she has you. Life can be such a pain sometimes. You have had such a run of hard times recently, it's just not fair! I'm glad the flowers were pretty, though. Ah, I just found the pic of the flowers, how lovely!

Wahine--good advice to Mema! The bay windows could look like a mini turret, I think. . .

DorKable--thanks for the update, and thanks for representing all of us at Reesie's viewing. Have a big dwinky and a good long sleepy and we'll see you later.

    BBBBernie--LOL!!!

    Good Morning,

I love the new avatar Bernie! Thanks again for the morning laughs.

Sue, you are truly an amazing woman to organize all of the flowers for Marie, they are beautiful and Dorothy, awesome that you could attend. It must have been very emotional for you as just seeing the pics of flowers is emotional.

NM..lots of new toys at the new job?   Cool....awesome that you are getting settled in there.

Sue, I thought cops only drank coffee and ate donuts???

time to get the day started....ttfn ladies.

Awwwwwww how absolutivily purrrrfect NM...a DOTD being "Marie's Pink Rose"! (Dotty, can you copy and send that dwink to her DD, on FB?). So sweet. Also very glad NM that you landed such an awesome job....and THEY should be celebrating that they landed such an awesome caring employee (you!). "Fred's Bread" bakes soooo many diff flavors every day. I got the Cranberry Walnut, but they do a Sweet Potato, Olive Herb, etc. All are awesome. Hope it freezes well, but will prolly share with my parents too.

Oh Bernie, Did your furbaby really have an ear operation??? Awwwww.when was that? The funnies are sooooo funnnneeeee. enjoyed the Irish "rain report"...lol. We were SO lucky that it only rained on us one day, last Nov, there.

Juliet, I foigot to comment about that months-late scan report! So much going on with Marie's passing. But yeah, like NM said, at least its a good way to get a free scan, only because you have had scan(s) since then. But WHAT HAPPENED??? That is unreal, but prolly happens waaaaaaay too often.

Last night I worked myself into a stressful frame of mind, about the A$$hole contractor...just wish we had insisted he do it when WE will be here, and not just according to his schedule. Should have put our foot down and said if he can't do it when it works out for us, that we would get someone else. SO took a melatonin AND xanax (zanax?) and that did the trick...out like a light (I don't say out like a baby cuz then I wud be crying all night!). Right now, have NO idea when they will start. The movers called, and I had my parents shipment held up for 2 wks in HI as it looked like it would come when we are gone. Well shoot, it NOW will arrive while we are gone, so hoping the guy can delay it till we return. IF I had known it would be soooo quick (they SAID 6-8 wks) then would not have delayed it and we would already have it. Too bad they couldn't have given a closer estimate of time. Figures, right?

OK, enuf of that, many thanks again to our dear AdorKable for representing us at Marie's viewing. So sad, but glad you were able to show the family that so many care. AND for SuzieCutie for organizing the flowers...just awesome. Hope you girlz have a good Saturday. Hope Alli is having fun "people watching" at the State Fair! AND eating all the goodies!!!

Tenders and Wenches....ATTENSHUN! Wese all needz some dwinks, and pronto! Lots of "Marie's Pink Rose" pwease!!! Just fill up the bar and keep em coming. Oh, we cud use some gud food toooooo.....like a nice buffet, ok?

    Hugsssssss,

    Kath

poor little furbaby.  nm, -prayers that everything will work out.need to do some housework but the spirit is not willing. at least i'm getting a free scan, had hoped for no appoinments until sept,  my understanding is that if the correct protocol is not running it means the correct computer program is not running the machine per the preset paremters to get the best scan, and they use cad(computer aided detection) on the scans, so if one programme is incorrect then the radiologist using the cad is reporting on flawed info!     as i said telling myself  the mamo in march showed nothing new,and at my age (50) if something was missed ,i have time on my side re cell growth.     still have great faith in the breast health centre, wished they did their own mri's now! the same staff have been there everytime i visted over the last 18 months, knowledgeble and friendly and the mamas are read by the same md,and that is all she does is breast health.

A biker stops by the local Harley Shop to have his bike fixed. They couldn't do it while he waited, so he said he didn't live far and would just walk home. On the way home he stopped at the hardware store and bought a bucket and an anvil. He stopped by the feed store/livestock dealer and picked up a couple of chickens and a goose. However, struggling outside the store he now had a problem: how to carry all his purchases home.

While he is scratching his head he was approached by a little old lady who told him she was lost. She asked, "Can you tell me how to get to 1603 Mockingbird Lane?" The biker said, "Well, as a matter of fact, I live at 1616 Mockingbird Lane. I would walk you home but I can't carry this lot." The old lady suggested, "Why don't you put the anvil in the bucket, carry the bucket in one hand, put a chicken under each arm and carry the goose in the other hand?" "Why thank you very much," he said and proceeded to walk the old girl home.

On the way he says, "Let's take my shortcut and go down this alley. We'll be there in no time."The little old lady looked him over cautiously then said, "I am a lonely widow without a husband to defend me. How do I know that when we get in the alley you won't hold me up against the wall, pull up my skirt, and ravish me?"

The biker said, "Holy smokes lady! I am carrying a bucket, an anvil, two chickens and a goose. How in the world could I possibly hold you up against the wall and do that?" The lady replied, "Set the goose down, cover him with the bucket, put the anvil on top of the bucket and I'll hold the chickens."

LOL as usual, Bernie! Funnnneeeeeee! Ouch for your poor furbaby! It reminded me that I did have a dog with that once, my childhood collie, Laddie....but I can't remember if it got cut and stitched too....that was about 10 yrs ago...LOL....NOT....more like a million gazillion yrs ago. But I do remember seeing that huge hematoma. Hope he heals really well, and quickly!!!

Oh nooooo Juliet, dats soooo funneeee too!!

Mese ankle hurts like H3LL.....ya know where it got hurt with the 100 lbs of luggage that fell on it (and I think it was that bar on the back of the luggage that landed on my ankle)? Well, its been healing but still hurts. TODAY we were working outside all day and I was weeding around the roses...but DH set a rake right behind me, sorta in my way. SO.....stoooopid me does not wanna get up but tries to *flick* it with my foot to push it over. The dang thing was stuck, raised all the way up and came crashing down RIGHT ON the hurting part on my ankle. OMG....did ya hear me all de way across de country...heck even Bernie prolly heard me yell!! So much worse when you have a really painful area and the same area gets hurt again. THEN DD was at a baby shower nearby, so visited her g'parents, then had called us, no answer. So stopped by with her friend following in her car since DD has had trouble w/ car not starting. SO she sees garage door open, rings doorbell, no answer. Comes in, can't find us....finally came out on the deck and saw us, relieved. Scared the $hit outta me though, didn't expect anyone, and sweating (I mean *glistening*) like a workhorse! Sooooo....we are talking and I cut her a gardenia, while her friend is still waiting in her car. We took so long talking, her friend almost came in too, was worried that my DD found something terrible or something. LOL....my excitement for the day....well, that and my ankle!

OK, gotta get cleaned up for Pau Hana.....yay.....almost time for dwinking!!!! Any Tenders left? Seems like *some* gals have been hogging them all for demselves!! LOL....nah....pwenty to share....(I hope!)!

    Huggers,

    Katwinka winka winka

Good afternoon, Loungettes! Having a very lazy day today, did get the dishes done and blueberry pancakes made for breakfast. Got a load of laundry in now, and starting to get some energy so starting to do some housework. My mother would have a fit if she knew I didn't do all my housework first thing in the morning! Oh, well.

CynCyn--lots of cool new techie toys to play with on the new job, and all top of the line, too! Gotta love it!

Wahine--the dwinky seemed appropriate, glad you approve. And "they" are happy to have me, I've been bought lunch twice now, and am being treated like a valued asset to the company. It's so exciting! Working yourself into a stressed out state of mind is way too easy to do, isn't it? Thank goodness for xanny and alcohol! And it is frustrating when a business can't give a decently accurate and reasonable estimate of delivery of services. I'm sure it will all work out eventually, though.

ORLA--did you say running every day? And here I thought my getting out for a walk was an accomplishment!

BBBBernie--poor puppy! I bet that hematoma hurt! He must be feeling rather abused right about now.

Juliet--I'm glad you have faith in your breast center, that must make things easier for you. I also wish ANY part of my initial diagnosis and treatment went right, but there it is. I'm trying to let the past stay in the past, but sometimes it's hard to do that. Seeing the same people must make a big difference! Good for you!

Bernie--you've got me laughing out loud, AGAIN!!!!!

Wahine--your poor ankle! And your poor DD! You've had such a day! I'm hoping it will dry off enough that I can get some mowing in tomorrow, it's been weeks since I could mow and the yard is a disaster area!

You were right the first time, Cyn! It IS "etc." as that is short for etcetera. Have fun at the bar!!!

Oh NM, Hope that grass dries so you can mow your yard! DH did our front yard today, but with the rain and temps not as hot (but sunny), it is growing like Mema's attraction for Mr. Bigger (LOL....blame dat on dat awful devil agin...keeps making me say stuff!). But he has to mow it every wk or 2. So nice that you found that job and are APPRECIATED!!!!

    Cheers Dears!

aww, Sue thank for posting the pics. The little arrangement was really pretty too, it had a ribbon with glitter and said "WE LOVE YOU". the pics did not do it justice. I will have to check out that other site you mentioned. I am sorta skeered to go there as I am just feeling better and do not wanna gitta emotionally worked up. I will be glad when tomorrow comes, something about the day they are buried, that is THE worst.

I just had a big fight with a bee but I won. the sob was the biggest bee I have ever seen. It looked like a yellow jacket but was bigger than a queen bee. WEll the thing flew into the swirly light I have in my cave and was making so much buzzing noise. I whipped it to the floor with some paper and started to beat it with a stick and the dern thing started going crazy and trying to attack me. so i tricked it and turned on another light, lured it in for the louisville slugga wacking. den i kicked it outside and stepped on it in de dirt. ya see, i do not have the balls to squish things like that with my shoe, it is gross to me getting blood and guts on my sandel

You have a good work day Sue, I prolly be doing it again.

Alli, when i had my mani/pedi today i mentioned something to the girl about doing it on the side and she said the owner is really weird about her even whispering to clients, thinking she is taking them away. I told her about ICONS and she laughed.  I had the gel polish applied and just love it, supposed to be good for over two weeks, yippee, no doing nails next week or tomorree. jest no time to do meseself and i needed a widdle pampering.

I took notes on posts yesterday afternoon but still have not commented to all you girls since now more have commented and i hate missing anyone.but we jest growing de lounge so much, it gits hard so forgive me for being all about mese. it should be about mese and wese, right?

Cheers ma ladies, gonna check out that other thread that Sue mentioned. I have to.....
