    Happy Birthday!! You shouldn't be working so hard on your day. You look awesome!! Don't let the number get you down.

    I already offered to lead the ass-kicking. Just want Shel to take care of herself first, get all nice and healed, and then we'll all go to town on the guy.

    Okay - change of subject (sorry Shel):

    How come the "fallopian" thread, which is 'humorous' and now 3 pages long, gets to stay on a "treatment" board when the "drinking" thread was re-located off of the "high-risk" board??? An inquiring mind wants to know! I guess I'm grumpy today - perhaps it's PMS?

    Since we no longer have a "debate" board I didn't know where else to post this - didn't want to piss-off the "treatment" ladies......

    What happens when you are making pumpkin bread and forget to put in the baking soda? Nothing- you make spicy harvest glue. After 80 minutes in the oven, I realized the error of my ways and decided to slice it like biscotti and bake some more. Should have saved the money and bought a mix!

    crap...storming like crazy here...thunder, lightning, torrential rain...flood warnings...
    time to sign off before I get zapped through my computer...that would really tick me off...survive BC...hit by lightning...and sober to top it all off!

    Vickie- You crack me up. Stay safe!! I've been dry and decaf.'d for almost a week now. Trying to be a good, clean girl for my surg.

    Teena-Hope that you're not as bad of a cook as I am. I always blow recipes. At least you're resourceful and thought up the biscotti idea. I would have dumped it all after a few choice words.

    Just thought that I'd let you ladies know that I'm not pregnant. LOL!! Just got my prerequisite pregancy test done at my pre-op today and it came back negative. Oh I wouldn't be laughing at a month short of 49 if it were positive. The 36 year positive test was enough. Oh yea, my BRCA test was negative also. And, my chest x-ray clean. Everything is a go and I'm getting really anxious now to get those whole second puberty thing going.

    my dad is coming over tomorrow to help me get rid of mike. i'm ok with everything so i'm hoping to get back to "normal".

    thank you all for your kind words and support........between the lame assed gummy boobs i got and the lingerie in mike's suitcase, it hasn't been a great week.

    it can only go up from here right?

    Oh, love your humor Tima! I've done that and just threw the whole thing out - blech! Gotta figure out next time how to make something else out of the mess. I think there's a recipe book (or two?) that tells you what to do when you f-up a recipe. Could be good for both of us! Or not - maybe I'll stick with drinking since I'm SO good at that!

    Shel, we're all here for you! Come visit Chicago again if you need to get away - my house needs cleaning and the lawn needs mowing and raking but you can handle that, can't you? And the dogs will keep you company as long as you don't make the bonfire too big - that would piss off the neighbors I think - so come on down and chill and give me some good decorating ideas! I have some good booze and wine and cheese, too! Yummy.

    HEY - if Janis and Shel are doing Chicago, I am there. Only 1 hour from take off to landing. I am always ready for a Chicago dog or pizza and we could tear up Division St. The best juke box is at The Lodge.

    I was just wondering if you two ever got together the last time Shel was in Chicago shopping with Mac? I never heard the full report, only that the shopping was good.

    Shel - How're you feeling physically? Are you doing okay? It sounds like you've got your boxing gloves on and are ready. Hope it goes well today.

    It seems that a "Live and In Person" get together is in order, doesn't it? I'll throw my house in the ring for a gathering, but you might prefer door #2. We are partners in a bar in Wrigleyville- conveniently within stumbling distance of the park. I can probably work out some drink specials...

    And because of the location, there is always plenty of cutie college boys to admire!

    we should seriously make a date.......i can either drive or fly (commercial now, lol).

    i'm going to mexico october 28th, will be back november 10th.

    it looks like mike will be in my house for a while.....he "has no where to go"........looks like it's going to be a loooong fall!

    physically i feel ok.......not much pain, bitterly disappoiinted with the outcome but oh well.

    Ok! If you all get together in Chicago, Im in. Live probably 10 minutes from Janis!!

    Im off the weekend and enjoying my pinot grigio. I can finially relax and enjoy the computer a bit.

    Shel: OH, bitterly disappointed is very descriptive. And I think thats how I felt in the beginning, right after surgery. But Im a pretty happey camper now. Sorry about mike. "May he need viagra and not be able to get any."

    Janis: LOL! Yes a pool party was the idea. Now you know what a procrastinator I am. My home feels so safe!! Socializing in real life has become a challenge. But it sure would be fun to get a few of us together. Make it a central location. I hate driving downtown!!

    Ok! Have a house. Not big, but not small. Husband does all the cleaning!!! Have a big, clumpsy dog and two cats. One will run if she sees a stranger. But I have a quaint patio and the table/chairs are still out there.

    Lini: Oh my, the plane ride to Las Vegas was 4 hours!! Fridays and Saturdays are good for me. Husband is usually gone to play at a pub.

    So look at all the choices.

    Just finished my last glass of wine. Last because I dont have anymore. But pretty soon it will be my bedtime anyways.

    Okay, I'm off to get my hair cut. My 3rd 'trim' this year! Then I'll be back for some Friday night drinking! I have to work tomorrow but the late shift so I can get drunk if I want to!
