    Shel,

Be as moody as hell if you want/need to be! I still don't know how we ended up 'here'! Maybe drinking is funny? Don't say that to my ex-husb or my step-stster as they're both alcoholics (both have been through re-hab many times so I can safely write that!) and I doubt they think it's humorous! Wait - maybe they do and that's why they drink so much? Sorry, my ornery mood again. It's either the menstrual cramps (which I LOVE BTW for all you Tamox/AI toting women out there) or my mom's blind/deaf/panting dog whom I'm watching for three weeks! Or, maybe I just need to drink more and more often!

    Hey! I'm all for that!

Ate a delicious steak earlier tonight, and am now sipping on St. Francis Zin. VERY good.

The weather is So nice here in OK! Not hot, windy or humid. The too few days we get in OK that are so nice.

Anybody else here on a Sat night?

    Cheers!

    Hi ladies,

Cheryl-Pain pump is out of meds. Tried having a beer tonight and couldn't finish it because the tight wrapping around my chest and the carbonation didn't bode well. Haven't taken any pain meds as I hate the Vicodin and I really don't have any real pain right now, just some muscle spasms on my right (primary) side, that catch me off guard and make me scream. Sleeping has been the worst, but only a few more days and I can get all of these contraptions taken off of my body. Okay enough whine, pass the cheese!

Shel-I might wait til I get to Mexico to "put an end to this shit". Hardbody sounds a little too close in proximity. You are a very patient wife. I would have broken, burned, smashed, cut up, all of the prized possessions.

How's everyone else doing? And how do we get moved to the Friendship thread? Even though you guys make me laugh, I really hate this thread being like the butt of a joke.

I think I'd rather stay here now as we're further down on the list and thus less likely to be bothered by those who don't understand us. JMO.....

Well, I'm off to work. I so hope I get 'Holiday' pay today.
Retail - ya gotta hate it!

Thanks Lini! I want as little controversey about us/this thread as possible! So maybe being/staying at the 'bottom' will help? I am SO not into debate unless is is a true debate! (which of course we no longer have here but that's my point!)

Hey yeah- we are further down the list because of fewer post. If we had many posts, we'd be at the top. Did everyone quit drinking? Or just moving on from the boards? If that is the reason, then GREAT! Glad to see some of my ol' friends here! Whatever forum we are in!

    Here's a shocker - I have NOT quit drinking!

Just don't check in on the boards as much these days. Mostly due to our new and improved Internet tracking system at work, compliments of UnitedHealth Care. Big brother is watching.... Do they actually expect me to work the ENTIRE time I'm there?

I am on my thirdish/forthish glass of wine. Depends on how you define "glass".

    Cheers sistas!

Hmmm, seems I'm drinking alone tonight? It's damp and gloomy here today. Blech! Got off of work at 2:30 and will definitely be drunk after my 2nd glass of wine which I'm about to pour (it's 5:30 here). I might not be able to stay up and watch my man Chris Garver on Miami Ink at 9 p.m.

    Hi Janis,

I'm here, but not drinking . Still at work for a little while longer.

Chris Garver, huh? I'm partial to Nunez. Oh Baby . I just love that show. My DH said we could go to Miami for my next tattoo, but I don't know. They are probably booked up months!

    Have a drink for me.

Eat something, Shel, that way you can drink more. How 'bout a BLT? That'll go great with one of your Red Stripes, huh? Don't make me ship you some more food now.

I haven't been able to drink lately. I'll just watch you all.

Hi drinkin' buddies. Sipping a Cabernet here. Feels like fall - gloomy, damp. But I gotta say, I am not sorry to see summer go, now that I'm on one long hot flash!

Janis - drunk after 2 glasses of wine? I expected more from you

Shel - try to eat something. You have to keep your strength up. Those Red Stripes can get heavy, and you need to stay in shape. ((BIGHUG))

Had to have myself a drink here after gazing at Vera's pictures of my "new helpers"! Whew...wow...hot flashes for a whole new reason. Gotta love that girl.
Shel...check out Vera's helpers...might improve your appetite. Try some Hersheys Peanut Butter Cup ice cream...did wonders for me!

    Jan,

I don't know what it is about Garver, maybe his ears? (so grabable.....)

I actually 'signed-up' to be on the show and I'm supposed to send in a tape to be considered. Hrmph. Maybe I'll just go visit my good (guy) friend down there and then stroll into their place and get that cutie Garver to tattoo me! I'd also like Kat to do a portrait.....

I do plan on a MIA visit next spring but if I could be on the show for free I'd do that in a heartbeat!

    I like your thinking Jan!

    Lini how are you feeling?

Shel the Mike diet isn't worth it! I had a Bill diet and lost almost 50#, That took me to about 90# not good! Eat girl! you've got plenty of men that will want something to grab onto! Just look at them good ol boys Vera sent over to help Vickie, I bet there are more where they came from!

Even with the hot flashes I still wish it was summer as like Vickie I had to miss out on most of it and was it ever a glorious summer here in Seattle this year.

OK -- been reading this thread for ages, and thinking -- I wanna play too!! So, here I am. Unfortunately I'm dry right now - had revision surgery last week, and the anesthetic doesn't make me sick, but it sure makes me NOT want to eat or drink for a couple of weeks. Still taking Advil regulary for the pain, so wouldn't drink anyway. But I think by the weekend, I'll be ready to dive back in. A big believer in the health effects (and the taste) of red wine. Love Shiraz & Merlot. And saw something on the news last week (through the haze of the prescription pain meds) about two glasses of red wine a day helping to ward off Alzheimer's. Anybody else see that? And once a month, on poker night, it can be anything - last time poker was at our house (the hosts have to come up with the featured drink of the evening) and the drink was the Woo Woo. (one measure vodka - made from potatoes, right? - one measure peach schnapps, and 4 measures cranberry juice. Kind of like fruit & vegetable cocktail - has to be good for us!!!

Almost feel like I know all of you - looking forward to getting to know you better, too!!

Linda - I'll let you know when I switch my Advil for wine!!!

Hey Linda- welcome! As you probably know we call this the "funnest" thread here. All are welcome, no judging. Just some good times.
Someonce here, once referred to their family as being the type to get into a knock down fight, then say, I love you let's have a beer (or something to that effect)That's how we are, except we usually skip over the controversary and just say, Let's have a drink.
Really great Reds are my drink of choice now too. Used to be scotch or vodka (still is on occasion) I feel like I am getting a health benefit. Even though my dx was ER+, I guess we pick our poisons.

Janis- I will be checking out Garver's ears for sure.
Shel- please eat, you're tiny already and will need strength if you have you throw those bags you've packed out on the lawn.
No drinking tonight, just got home from work and had to catch up on Nip/Tuck. Now I have to go check out Vera's guys.

And Christine, it's not his ears that I'm interested in...

(oh this being off the Tamoxfen and having a sex drive again is going to get me in trouble)

    Hey Laides,

Been a while, but I'm here, busy at work, getting over the hysterectomy. And drinking to beat the band. Must say no issues with my female parts gone, thank God, no hot flashes or mood swings, I thinks me body likes not having hormones.

anyhow. Just checking in to say hi, hope your all doing well.
