Been away for a few days. Is the Chicago idea a serious option? It's beautiful today- 81 and sunny. Let's do it before it's 18 and gray! Shel- you need to make the trip- I told you- Yummy Youngsters galore! (After a few cocktails, I forget that I'm WAY too old for them. And if I forget, my DH reminds me!)

Vicki- It would have been cheaper to get a plane ticket than have the PO lose your gift in the mail. PO'd indeed!

There is a dangerous virus being passed around electronically, orally, and by hand. This virus is called Worm-Overload-Recreational-Killer(WORK)

If you receive WORK from any of your colleagues, your boss, or anyone else via any means DO NOT TOUCH IT. This virus will wipe our your private life completely.

If you should come into contact with WORK put your jacket on and take two good friends to the nearest grocery store. Purchase the antidote known as Work-Isolating-Neutralizer-Extract (WINE) or Bothersome-Employer-Elimination-Rebooter (BEER). Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.

You should forward this warning to 5 friends. If you do not have 5 friends, you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life.

    HELP...WORK IS CONTROLLING MY LIFE.

I wish I could flush the work from my system . The wine and beer remedies do help though, and what a good time I'm having trying to get "well".

Vickie, that was good for a real belly laugh today, when I needed it most! Thanks!!

Sitting here in my "traveling pants" with my new jingle jangle ankle bracelet, just out of the bath with my wonderful bath salts, covered in lotion, getting ready to put on my new nightshirt (and hoping for someone to take it back off LOL) with seashells by my bedside getting ready to drink a wonderful glass of wine all from my dear sweet friend Teena!!! Big hugs to you my dear...sending you a toast...you made my day (and I am so happy I didn't have to go "postal")! Have a wonderful fun weekend with your friends, you deserve it.
Have a wonderful night all...off to have some fun!
    Love

Hey Vickie - thanks for the WARNING! LOL!

Now I'll be sure and look out for W.O.R.K. And if I DO happen to cross paths with W.O.R.K., I'll be sure and intervene with W.I.N.E. or B.E.E.R.

    Cheers!

Christine - Yep, born and raised in Joplin MO. Still have family there. I'm in Tulsa now, so it's only 100 miles away. (perfect relative distance)

Anybody out there tonight? I'm drinking a beer. But am cutting myself off after this one. Did I mention I had 2 glasses of wine before the beer? But who's counting?

    Cheers!

Hi Donna and everyone else- Been laying low lately, my brothers told me I was kinda loud and outta hand when I stopped by our restaurant after a night out on Sat, made me think... whoaaa.
Although, I did just have some Chard while chopping some stuff for a homemade chicken salad.
Teena, if everyone is still in for Chicago, I'm in, but I'll be meeting some other bc.org sisters in Vegas, 11/9-12. Anyone wanna join us?

Christine, so sorry your family accused you of being too loud - WTF??? Aren't you entitled to some fun?

Can't make Vegas as I have big plans for a vacation in December and don't have the extra time, nor noney, right now but I'll be there in spirit!

Christine - aren't drunk people supposed to be loud? I agree with Janis - WTF? Maybe your brothers need a drink.

I would LOVE to take a Vegas trip OR a Chicago trip, but I am getting ready to buy my "old" house back. (the one I left 2 years ago when I separated from husband) and I also have a big vacation planned for Dec.

Janis - where are you going? My two sisters and I have been saying for years we were going to take a sisters vacation and have put it off long enough. If we wait until we can all afford it, we'll never go. We need to go before somebody dies or becomes disabled or something. Thank God for credit cards!! Jamaica here we come! There will be LOTS of drinking I am sure.

    Cheers!

Oh no - my brothers were right on this one. I was very outta hand and in front of my staff. I was drinking like a rock star that night. Believe me, they like to drink as much or more, isn't in the genes? lol
Janis and Donna - would love to meet in person, you will be missed in Vegas, hopefully there will be someone there to raise a glass with in your honor.
Donna, the only times I've been to Tulsa was when I was much younger, to watch my brother play hockey-fun road trips!
C'mon Teena- what better place to meet some drinking buddies? Vegas!
Off to work - later chicas.

    Guatemala! How exotic!

I hear Jamaican natives greet you at the airport with a bong. LOL!

(bet there's some wacky tobacky in Guatemala too)

I'm off to BF's for the weekend. Might go to the Tulsa State Fair. Always makes for some good people watching. Where ARE some of these people the other 50 weeks of the year?

    Cheers!

Ok, now I'm here and half loaded, where is everyone? Saw my Onc today. Seems I'll live for another couple of months LOL. I'll drink to that!!

Hey Jan...saw my oncologist today too...he's convinced that my parents found me in a basket on their doorstep...I now have osteopenia along with bc...wonderful...no family history of anything I have. I personally think they found me under a rock...that's what my mom always said LOL.

Have my niece and nephew here tonight playing with Nathan...no drinking for me...as much as I may need it!!! Maybe I'll do doubles tomorrow night!!
Hugs ladies, have one or two for me.

Just so you ladies with the osteo-whatevers, don't feel bad, I was dx w/ low bone density before any of this bc stuff. I have been taking calcium w/D since 41 yo. I attribute it to many yrs of smoking, diabetes (I know) and now Tamox and AI's. AAArrrgghhh.
Just a glass of vino earlier, I am tired and had the night off, just chilling.
Tomorrow is Cirque du Soliel (Quidam), a friend gave me the vertis rouge tickets (VIP everything- whoo hoo)Food and DRINKS included.

Not to change the subject or anything.....

Okay, I was NOT happy when this thread was moved to 'Humor' so I'm thinking we could petition for it to be moved to the new 'Friendship' board. Or are we just too dang funny that we now belong here??? (Sorry, just feeling ornery tonight!)
