Navy you are so welcome. I fell in love with them quite a while back. Originally I think Chevy sent me a link to the song they do called Hero. They are sitting at their kitchen table. Anyway, I looked up info on them and found out that it was mainly a large musical family. I thought it so wholesome to spend so much time together doing music which they obviously love.

The cure for all the illness of life is stored in the inner depth of life itself, the access to which becomes possible when we are alone. This solitude is a world in itself, full of wonders and resources unthought-of- is absurdly near; yet so unapproachably distant. -Rabindranath Tagore

Those kids do a wonderful job on those songs. I'm especially tickled to see them "kicking it old-school" with just a single large-diaphragm condenser mic, like the 1920s-'30s bluegrass and old-time country bands used. Nice sound panning too--as if the mic weren't there and you were watching them in the same room.

If you're happy, you're wealthy. Happiness doesn't need a bank account.

The golden opportunity you are seeking is in yourself. It is not in your environment; it is not in luck or chance, or the help of others; it is in yourself alone. -Orison Swett Marden

Overcome obstacles - grow and bloom anyway.

Sometimes looking deep into the eyes of a child, you are
conscious of meeting a glance full of wisdom. The
child has known nothing yet but love and beauty. All
this piled-up world knowledge you have acquired is
unguessed at by her. And yet you meet this wonderful
look that tells you in a moment more than all the
years of experience have seemed to teach.
Hildegarde HawthorneHave had this experience a lot of times.

In three words I can
sum up everything I've
learned about life:
It goes on.
Robert Frost0 -
For many years now I have listened to the stories of people with cancer
and other life-threatening illnesses as their counselor. From them
I have learned how to enjoy the minute particulars of life once again,
the grace of a hot cup of coffee, the presence of a friend,
the blessing of having a new cake of soap or an hour without pain.
Such humble experience is the stuff that many of the very best stories are made of. If we think we have no stories it is because we have not paid
enough attention to our lives. Most of us live lives that are far richer
and more meaningful than we appreciate.
Rachel Naomi Remen0 -
Over the years I have come to believe that life is full of unchosen circumstances, that being human has to do with the evolution of our individual consciousness and with it, responsibilities for choice. Pain and joy both come with life. I believe that how we respond to what happens to us and around us shapes who we become and has to do with the psyche or the soul's growth. -Jean Shinoda Bolen

I remember the morning that I first asked the meaning of the
word "love. . . ."
Miss Sullivan put her arm gently round me and spelled into
my hand, "I love Helen."
"What is love?" I asked. . . .
"Love is something like the clouds that were in the sky before
the sun came out," she replied. . . . "You cannot touch the clouds,
you know; but you feel the rain and know how glad the flowers
and the thirsty earth are to have it after a hot day. You cannot
touch love either; but you feel the sweetness that it pours into
everything. Without love you would not be happy or want to play."
The beautiful truth burst upon my mind--I felt that these were
invisible lines stretched between my spirit and the spirits of others.
Helen Keller
Love is like a beautiful flower which I may not touch, but whose
fragrance makes the garden a place of delight just the same.0 -
He who knows others is wise.
He who knows himself is enlightened.

Two things fill me with constantly increasing admiration and awe,
the longer and more earnestly I reflect on them:
the starry heavens without and the moral law within.
Immanuel Kant0 -
Our language has wisely sensed the two sides of being alone. It has created the word "loneliness" to express the pain of being alone. And it has created the word "solitude" to express the glory of being alone. -Paul Tillich

May God grant you always...
A sunbeam to warm you,
a moonbeam to charm you,
a sheltering Angel so nothing can harm you.
Laughter to you.
Faithful friends near you.
And whenever you pray,
Heaven to hear you.
- Irish Blessing0 -
It is in the whole process of meeting and solving problems that life has meaning. Problems are the cutting edge that distinguishes between success and failure. Problems call forth our courage and our wisdom; indeed, they create our courage and our wisdom. It is only because of problems that we grow mentally and spiritually. It is through the pain of confronting and resolving problems that we learn.
M. Scott Peck0 -
Gentleness is everywhere in daily life, a sign that faith rules through ordinary things: through cooking and small talk, through storytelling, making love, fishing, tending animals and sweetcorn and flowers, through sports, music and books, raising kids—all the places where the gravy soaks in and grace shines through. Even in a time of elephantine vanity and greed, one never has to look far to see the campfires of gentle people. -Garrison Keillor

If I can think of myself as loved, I can love and accept others. If I see myself as forgiven, I can be gracious toward others. If I see myself as powerful, I can do what I know is right. If I see myself as full, I can give myself freely to others. -Kathy Peel

Once again -- couldn't decide, so just put in both.
Never succumb to the notion that others are less important
based on their place of birth.

There is symbolic as well as actual beauty in the migration of the birds, the ebb and flow of the tides, the folded bud ready for the spring. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature—the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after the winter. -Rachel Carson

If all the gold in the world were melted down into a solid cube it would be about the size of an eight-room house. If a man got possession of all that gold--billions of dollars worth--he could not buy a friend, character, peace of mind, clear conscience, or a sense of eternity. -Charles F. Banning

If we could but recognize our common humanity, that we do belong together, that our destinies are bound up in one another's, that we can be free only together, that we can be human only together, then a glorious world would come into being where all of us lived harmoniously together as members of one family, the human family. -Desmond Tutu

To be wealthy, to have a rich nature is the first requisite and money but the second. To be of a quick and healthy blood, to share in all honorable curiosities, to be rich in admiration and free from envy, to rejoice greatly in the good of others, to love with such generosity of heart that your love is still a dear possession in absence or unkindness—these are the gifts of fortune which money cannot buy, and without which money can buy nothing. -Robert Louis Stevenson

Who is rich? They who rejoice in their portion.
The Talmud0 -
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it,
or who said it, no matter if I have said it,
unless it agrees with your own reason
and your own common sense.
- The Buddha0 -
We bless the life around us far more than we realize. Many simple, ordinary things that we do can affect those around us in profound ways: the unexpected phone call, the brief touch, the willingness to listen generously, the warm smile or wink of recognition.
