Today looks to be (hopefully) a quiet Saturday.  Our rain is on the way out which I am thankful about for now.  I need some sun again.  Though I try hard to ' live in the moment ' the evidences are mounting via large amts. of nut shells on the driveway that soon tons of work will have to be done in our yard.  Heat prevented lots of outdoor projects, but not sure I'd have gotten to it anyway.  Was a strange and busy summer.

I hope you are all going to have a great Saturday -- and a dry one.

    Hugs, Jackie

Hi all, and hope this finds you doing well.  I did receive my bone desnity results and the doctor said no change is needed in terms of meds.  He did say  to keep walking and to take the vitamin D and C and calcium as there  was  some  minimal bone density reduction.  I guess being 62 and taking arimidex, that can be expected. So that is good news in that I do not need to add on another med for bones.

    Take care and have fun!

Yay, Susan.  Great news -- I'm a firm believer inSmile the less pills you take -- the better off you will be.Smile  I think with the proliferation of additives to most of our food, and a lot of our cleaning products along with make-up too --- we are all fortunate that the human body continues to work as it was made too for the most part and that we are not all ( forget dire disease processes ) having to take hand fulls of things to counter-act or everyday living.Yell

    See you all later.

    Hello Everyone!

Sorry I haven't been online much but a lot is going on at the moment.  My implants are all messed up, I have huge dents and massage didn't help but only made things worse. Frown  My right implant has dropped 3 inches and my scar tissue has attached itself to my muscles. So it's been a bit painful but all things considered, I'm doing well and hanging in there.  Surgery is set for Tuesday, Sept 14th to have them removed and another set placed... if it doesn't work this time I'm going to have them removed for good.

I pray everyone is doing better!

Sorry you have to go through this Marilyn.  May your new set of fake boobs be the best ever and your surgery the safest, quickest and most successful.

Good morning everyone.  Sorry I had to delete --- the source I used before has apparently changed and now I get all the dreaded marks.  Sigh !!!!

Marilyn, you sound like you have had a bit of a rough time and I am sorry to hear that.  I'm glad you are hanging in there and doing what it takes to get the results you want.  Fingers all crossed that this time is the charm..

Today is looking beautiful as a Sunday should.  Sunlight is coming down through the trees ( I love to see it this way ) and lighting up the leaves but hasn't as yet gotten to the drive-way.  These are the things you see as the seasons change and the earth tips ever so slightly.  Of course, it is also the lead-in to you know what and I'm not talking about that just yet.

I'm going to allow myself to be just a little lazy today -- ah, what fun.  F&F night at the store ( Sears ) so Dh does not go in until 5 p.m.  We can do a home project together perhaps.

Hope you are all going to have a great Sunday.

    Hugs, Jackie

    Hello all,

I do hope this finds all of you having a good day and enjoying the pleasant weather I woke to this morning.

I have thought of you all often this past year and was hoping to catch up with you all at the Susan B on the 25th.  I never managed to get the hang of this thread and always felt lost.

I had a bugger 6 months in the health department, vaginal bleeding after 5 years which let to tests and  a Uterine  biopsy   No cancer cells , still working on the why ? On a positive note, I finally found a job I like and my professional life for the past 9 months has been great.

Would love to see you all and give you all a great big hug.  And I would love some hugs- Blessings Victoria

OK I'm going to see if I can post this photo. My husband brought home Dunkin Donuts roses. I just though I'd share.

On another note I looked at the other photos on my camera and just cracked up. The night before surgery I had my husband take picture of my boobs for my records. I forgot all about that. Good think I removed them from my camera. Can you image if I was showing photos and all of a sudden those photos appeared!

15 things you probably never knew or thought about....

    1. At least five people in this world love you so much they would die for you.
    2. At least fifteen people in this world love you in some way.
    3. The only reason anyones would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
    4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
    5. Every night, someone thinks about you before they go to sleep.
    6. You mean the world to someone.
    7. If not for you, someone may not be living.
    8. You are special and unique.
    9. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
    10. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
    11. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world.
    12. When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, probably, sooner or later, you will get it.
    13. Always remember the compliments you recieved. Forget the rude remarks.
    14. Always tell soemone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know.
    15. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great.

I am doing number 15 right now.

Lago, I give you credit for even trying to post a picture here.  I need to set aside a whole day to figure that out.  Oh and the pictures on the camera.  Here we go with one of my most embarrassing moments.

When I was bald and bored one day I took my own picture.  I was not pretty as a bald!  I did download the pictures to the computer  and forgot about them.  We were having some party and my cousin was looking at the "album" of pictures as I wanted to show off my grandchild.  My daughter slipped over to me and said, "It's okay with me, mom, but did you know that they are looking at a picture of you without your wig.."

I asked her to redirect them as I DID NOT want them looking at me.  My grandchild was bald but absolutely darling.  Stuff happens! I thinbk the darn picture is still in that album.  If I work up the courage  I will look for it and delete it.  Then again, maybe I won't!

Edited to add:  Lago I did see the picture.  All you have to do is click it on.  SOOOOOOOO Pretty!

Well at least the link to the picture works. I just don't know how to get it embedded into the  post. I'm guessing that maybe the size is too big. I'll eventually figure it out. I'm usually good at this stuff.

I'm off to work today. Yup got an email last night from my former boss asking me if I would be available for freelance today. He has no idea what I've been going through. I was laid off mid January and haven't spoken with him since.

I did manage to wash and style my hair last night. Did a pretty decent job. I'll just run the flat iron over it today. Maybe I'll check in tonight if the day of work doesn't wear me out… and I nuts to go back to work 2 weeks after BMX with TE? I'll find out. At least I work 2 train stops away from the hospital I'm being treated at.

Bossed messed up. Didn't have a computer with the software I need. I went all the way down there on the bus only to turn around 1 hour later and go home. I am now working on the files at home because I have the updated software. This reminds me that maybe it wasn't such a bad thing to be laid off. Still a crazy mess over there.

Good morning everyone.  How is this for DENIAL.  I forgot all about its being my birthday today until I started reading the blog five minutes ago.   The number -- and it really is a number only, is 65.  The only strange thing is  -----  how did I get from 25 to 65 and only feel 47 or so.  My day stated with ( planned appt. ) taking my dog Poncho to the vet.   He has a heart worm problem and is getting the last treatment today --- home tomorrow night.  His pen buddy Chico is already half nuts without him and will be psychotic by tomorrow night. Good thing he doesn't have to stay longer.   Dh is off the the next three days but nothing planned.  I'm rearranging the living room -- again, and will restore it more than likely back to how it was originally later.  That is what usually happens......I want to do a HGTV make-over but never works for me.  Where are those people when you need them.

Hope you all have a marvelous day.  Thanks for the b-day cake Addey.  Don't work too hard Lago.  See you all later.

    Hugs, Jackie

Happy Birthday Jackie!  I hope you enjoy your day!  You deserve it!

I found out my Vit D level from my most recent test.  31.8.  This is up from 23 six months ago.  So, no 50,000 units for me at this time.  Yeah!  I'm thinking that this may be because I spend most of my time in the sun on the lake in the summer.  I don't know how long the effect of the sun would last.  We will see if my levels are back down in six months.

I hope everyone is doing fine and feeling good.  Crazy busy over here with the start of school.  It seems like there is some meeting or event to attend every night.

Looking forward to the walk in 2 weeks.  Hope it's nice weather!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKIE!!!! Wishing you all the BEST as you are special and grateful to know here!! Enjoy this time, the cake and everything that goes with it!!!

I am back from NY seeing DAD and attending my 36th H.S. reunion!! ALL was great and what a difference a year makes.

I have lost two goldens in just two months and only have Liberty left. She is our puppy raised golden and finally is out of her grief stricken state.Taking her to NY did it as we had all the time with her and the change did her good. We are both devastated as we had 5 goldens at one time and it is quite a change. We love them like children and now it is time to let them go as it goes.

WALK coming up in two.. looking forward to seeing everyone. Raised a good $700 and am quite grateful for that support to say the least.

Well, teaching starts as sub this week. My thyroid issues still being adjusted and feeling better. Have my check up appts this week and tomm is my OB/GYN. I am not sure if insurance pays for the CA125 test but being a BC patient, you would think that you would qualify for this and not as an extra  cost!!!

Hope ALL are well and all those in TX, having tests, appts etc.. sending healthy thoughts and wishes..YOU can do anything and you are stronger than you know!!!

    Happy Birthday Jackie!

Donna, aren't reunions fun. I think I mentioned I went to my 30th last year.

Ocologist tomorrow. I think I'm more scared about this than I was for surgery. Granted I felt great before surgery. I ache a bit as the numbness wears off. I miss working out. Such a great stress reliever.
