I bet a lot of hands were clapping for those great bands you got!

Anyone remember the Talking Heads? We would stand up and dance to our favorites at that concert.

Oh, we were too staid back in the 60's....NOT! LOL. I would go backstage at concerts like Seals and Croft, etc. Even got to kiss Ricky Nelson in his dressing room....Embarassed (I am much older than you!)

Wow, Wahine! You were a wild child.  Did you also wear a daisy ring in your hair?

Sadly no, I wasn't a flower child, and really wasn't very wild. Just got to do some fun things, growing up in Hawaii! Really enjoyed the 60's!

Thanks Jane...I think we are ALL fun here, or at least silly! Had a lot of interesting dates, maybe even a couple of toads. :(

Well, Ricky Nelson is no toad! But, I must admit to having gone out with a few dolts myself.  Glad we are old enough to know better now.

Yeah, Ricky Nelson was really cute, that was when he was in the Stone Canyon Band (remember that anyone?). But I was just thinking that instead of spending our money looking for the cute guys, why don't we hit the casinos and try our luck with slots!

Sounds great! I'll pull up a stool. Hope we win BIG!

(Funny, but the current guy posts we have done, were back with bar "stool"!)

Oh,oh, your stool is leaning...and I know you haven't had much to drink yet, so I'll grab some tools and tighten the screws.

Well that explains what I thought was a rude comment from that lady: "You've got a screw loose"

she better not tangle with you zogo, she's sure to come off the loser in any contest of wits with you!

And I just might push her down that slope if she says anything else that could be taken as rude!

Hmmm I don't remember either, but I did bring us some fresh pears to eat!

I brought my purse, so we could go out to eat (or drink, of course) if the pears don't fill us up.

That sounds super, wahine. Where are you going on your trip?

Next trip is just a 5 hr drive to a condo we rented for a week, and will take a grandchild or two. That will be fun, as we love our grandchildren, and this is like a Bavarian village. Following trip will be to Ireland and Madeira; being in Madeira cures my homesickness, as I just love it there. Nothing yet for April, then a week in Vegas in May with just girlfriends. Thats all thats planned, so far!

Wow, Wahine, reading about all of your travel plans just CURLS my hair, I am so envious!

zogo thx for trying to find out how to "bold" on an IPad! Maybe I will just use capital letters to make the word stand out?

"That's all thats planned so far"? Wahine, I want your travel schedule! My last trip was to Boston in Oct. to watch my kids scull at the Head of the Charles rowing regatta.

Dawny, I like the all caps idea from your iPad. It definitely stands out.

Wow Jane, that must have been awesome to watch them! Did they do any calls also, or do they just keep the rhythm automatically? My dad lived by a mostly private beach in HI, and the outrigger clubs would practice there....one day I counted about 100 outriggers pulled up on the beach, as they would keep them there, covered up! One of the gals at their friday happy hours was in her 80's and a very strong, active rower. Its so good to be that active!

(Yes, Dawny, the caps do stand out well! We used to just write the one word, no sentences so it was ez to spot the word...but then we started writing sentences which is more fun!)

Rowers are amazing! How do they keep going so strong? I don't think I'd have the stamina not to slack my speed toward the end of the race.

And I hope they get their uncovered skin all slick with sunscreen so they are protected while doing their rowing! I would love to have toned arms like they would have!

wow, the sight of 100 outriggers on the beach in Hawaii must be amazing. I'm feeling that sunshine in my mind on this cloudy freezing day.

My son rows and my daughter is a coxswain.  She talks into a microphone to keep the rowers motivated and on task. She packs wrenches and bandaids in a fannypack for emergencies. She likes it because she is the coxswain for the Varsity Guys.  Nothing like bossing around a bunch of tall good-looking men.

zogo, does your daughter spank the rowers if they misbehave?

Haha, no, she just steers the boat and asks for a little spunk at the right times.
