Ok I think we once again have ourselves at that KK moment. What other word can I make from knock that hasn't already been made? Sigh. Can't think of a darned thing. So I'm back to the guy who NOCKS an arrow and lets it fly.

I couldn't think of anything either! You should get a nice hot scone with butter and jam on it for getting us un-stuck.

looking at it now, could have been Knick (like one of the NY Knicks, short for Knickerbockers).

But continuing on, gloomy weather here today, perfect for hot cocoa with candy canes

I didn't think if it either (the first time I saw it), Red. Took a crate to fall to make me see it.

Hey wait a minute OncoWarrior, you didn't change a letter, you just put them in a different order. But now I come to think of it I believe we decided a while ago that rearranging the letters was OK. I knew you wouldn't cheat!

Unless you're an egret, in which case being around water is comforting!

Or to sit in the rain-forest among the huge evergreen trees, with ferns and mosses underfoot, listening to the little waterfalls all around.

Oops, OncoWarrior beat me to the punch. It's a good thing we're just playing for fun and not keeping score. Darn it, I can't use that word either, it has two changed letters. I'm going to go away now. All this editing just tires me out!

Wow, beaches and waterfalls and birds, just stirs my imagination. I have little comforting visuals now.

Since we're not close to a waterfall, my DH rests beside the pool...or in the blood center when I'm "giving" blood...which makes me laugh...cause I'm in there a whopping 15 minutes!

Lol I figured it out. Way back in the olden days, people had funeral PYRES to celebrate the life of the newly departed. Out into the ocean you go. In a million years, when my time comes, that would be a cool way to say goodbye.

OK that's morbid but I couldn't figure out another way to use my word.

Not morbid at all...I was contemplating swimming w/the fish...but my family likes the idea of the cathedral spires.  I probably won't care a million years from now :)

Hey Ronnie, I'm going to assume that you meant a cathedral SPIRE, cuz that has 5 letters. Lol. I'm going with that.

I'm going to Italy next week and I have no idea how many PAIRS of shoes to take. Sandals runners pumps loafers, o dear

maybe 2TA should keep the money instead of spending it on shoes. Air fares are so high nowadays, and then they zing you with add-on charges. Oh, you actually want a seat? that will be an additional $50...the base ticket price only covers room to stand and hang on a strap like they do in the subway in New York!!!

Then the person standing to your right stares at you and you realize oops...forgot my deodorant!  ( when I misspelled deodorant-spell check wrote "dried rat!"...really????).   Anyhoo...I hear sweat is overrated in the US :)
