Sandee welcome home we sure missed you but so glad you had a good time.  Good luck with the job in Qaatar. I have a friend who travels there alot for business and loves it there.

Welcome to the newbies this is a great place to hand and ask questions.

I doubt my insomnia will get any better as the last year it has not gotten any better and have had to stay on sleeping pills.  So far everything else is OK.  Last night I did have left hip joint pain which I had before and it went away.  This morning it was gone so I dont' guess I will worry about it.  I see the MO on Friday.  I go back to work full time on Monday but I am ready.  Worked in the garden this morning and have harvested all kinds of fresh veges.  I may just become a vegetarian because it all taste so good.

Now watching the Blind Side and I just love this moving. Such a touching story and I always cry when I watch it.

Jo rats on not getting your drains out. I found mine to be such a nuisance.

Jo - no pillows for you

Sherry- have you tried an osteopath? between the hip pain and scar tissue and lack of sleep, I was a bit of a mess before I went away last month...went to the osteopath wo times before I went away and WOW!!! Clarity, realigned my spine so my legs were the same length again (I was about 2" out on one side..no wonder I was in pain...gee whiz!)...and really got to a deeper level..slept like the innocent the first two weeks of China...then started thinking about life at home again and poof went my sleep...but..still naming the things I am grateful for when I go to bed and when I wake up and taking one day at a time..the 24 hour rule does help...hope you sleep soon.

June- WHACK!!! You are an easy target right now! Tink...time to drop a pillow from above..paula...love the pillows! Think I will use the orane ones:)

    hugs all around

I started Tamoxcifen in Dec and yea the weight loss not a happening thing for me, but i am tolerating it well so far, four and a half years to go, have night sweats too, but i guess it goes with it. I do get worried about cancer returning though. but they say there is about an 70% chance i won't and extra 15 % on that taking tamoxcifen , so i guess i have to get that out of mind. but Tamox not been too hard for me so far.

Thank you, i donot have much female company, i have my mum and sisters, but apart from that its me,  and hubby and his brother. so would be good to have somebody else to relate to at times, my hubby is a sweety, but i don't like to bother him talking about my breast cancer fears, he is a great support and i am tremendously blessed with that, but you can't beat having a few ladies to share with too. I am a kiwi, live in  New Zealand, so a long away from you ladies.

Hi thanks, it is now 2..19 in the afternoon on monday. and its very cold.  I live in the lower part of the north island, about an hour from capital city called wellington, our city is called Palmerston North. I used to be in northern part of north island til I married and moved down here, its warmer up there.  It was a place called Whanagrei., easy name is northland which covers most of the top of the north island. But i tell you, i was glad i was down here with my breast cancer, they were very quick with treatment, up there, they are slow and i could  still be waiting.. i  had my op and radiation very quickly. mind you found out from gp if i had not had that mamogram, i would not of seen new year, it was quite small and detected early, but was stull grade 3 and when it got to been a lump, i would of been terminal, that was the main reason i was rushed thru to surgery within two weeks. surgeon said, it was quite small, but  very nassty. they don;t have to be huge lumps to be nasty and  there was no spread at that point. so i was very blessedf.

    Happy Monday!!!!

Boy, I would have LOVED a pillow fight Saturday night if it would have helped me sleep!!! Between my puppy being scared of a thunder storm and thinking only she and daddy needed the bed and my hand falling asleep, sleep was just NOT in my vocab!!

Today is my son's (middle child) 23rd bday!!!! YAH! Spent yesterday at Bass ProShop and a baseball game. I'm not sure about you all, but sitting that long makes me sore and clumsy when I get up.

Princess JOJO (LOL), if it's building up, then I think it only makes it worse :/ Between the scar tissue and the joint pain, sometimes I feel like I'm ALOT older than I am! I wonder if there is anyone who can tell us if it gets better AFTER we are done.

OK, NOT complaining!!! Actually doing good this morning (- normal aches & pains). I just realized I skipped my Lorazapam (had to look this up because I CAN"T remember the STUPIDIST things) this morning!!! YAH me!!!!

I also learned this weekend, the tables are turning!!! My 24 yr old said SHE was yelling (in the mom way) at me and  telling her father that I was moving things.  I'm getting ready for my youngest daughter to come from school and my niece, who will be here on Fri (YAH!!!), to come spend the summer with us.They are both taking extras classes this summer online and working. I just thought it would be nice for her to have her OWN space.

Jo, I hope you get the drains out soon!!! You will feel ALOT better!!!!

Midnight, WELCOME and I am very glad that you will be around for a LONG time to come!!!!!!!!Laughing

Novel away momx3!  I find sometimes that getting it out helps.  Im sure the next pillow fight you will get a good whack or two in.  Plus give a few back, lol!

Just want to see if anyone here has a problem with their hands and feet having the feeling of falling asleep.  You know that tingleing feeling you get.  I've had this going in for a long time and am wondering what it is.  I said something to the Onc PA back in Dec, but he just kinda blew it off.  If anyone has this going, what have you done to get that under control?

Took a Paula day today and am playing hookie from work.  Gonna find some kinda trouble to get into in my sewing room today, yahoo me!!  Have a fab day my Tamo girls and I love you all!

The mods have decided to pull threads on the Alternative forum to 'protect newbies'. Really? REALLY?

You all should know what is going on here:

    To BCO:

Disrepect is in the eye of the beholder. Your removing threads about alternatives because they are not pro chemo is really revealing about what you care about. It is not the women on the forum.

You, moderators, are censoring anything that does not align with your beliefs of a chemo only approach.  You are NOT doing those of us who are suffering from breast cancer any favors, and we WILL and have found alternatives despite your Gestapo tactics. Ban me, do whatever you want to. Your not allowing newbies to be able to read all options is what is scary. To limit these women is criminal. Hope you sleep good at night but then I guess you would with all your pharma connections.

You allow disrepect by allowing rudeness to prevail....you haven't banned Black Cat, orange or digger have you? How much do you pay them to monitor the boards?

YOUR tone is nasty, invasive, controlling and scary. Why don't we make BCO stand for Best Chemical Options????

I think mine is carpal tunnel too, family tradition. I'm going to ask my dr about going to see someone because it keeps me up and I have a tendency to drop things??? NOT GOOD for glassware...LOL

Just a dumb question I asked my husband...... So, if I have surgery on my right hand, where do they put the IV????? Left arm has LE.

Boy I missed the pillow fight again.

Midnight welcome this is a great place to hang out, love the ladies here.

Sandee I have been going to the Chiropractor and he is keeping me aligned.

As for the hip pain it went away on Saturday so don't know why I had it but I guess I just get paranoid with all the SE's I had the last time.  So I have been back on Tamox for a week now and really the SE's are pretty minimal.  I have the insomnia but have sleeping pills for them.  I am having the vivid dreams but I am sure they will go away in a week or two.  I have not been having hot flashes at night but I do seem to have a couple in the evenings.  I went to the endocrinologist last Monday and had my hormones checked.  In six months I have gone from pre menopausal and far from going into menopause to being post menopausal.  I always knew my mom went through menopause fast so I guess I can count this a blessing.  I see my MO on Friday and will give him a copy of my hormone labs.  Guess I'll see what he wants to do now. I worked in my garden on Saturday and boy was I tired after that but harvested some really good veggies.  My TE's have not given me any problems at all for the most part I don't even realize I have them.  I can say that the BMX with TE's so far have been much easier on me than the lumpectomy and radiation were. Yes the BMX was more painful in the beginning but radiation was just as painful at the end for me.  I am also in a much better state of mind.  Having this BMX just lifted a huge weight off of my shoulders.  I told DH I feel better than I have felt in years emotionally and physically. I guess at least having BC made me realized that I needed to fine tune my health.  I exercise a lot more and am eating better. Now if I can just get DH to join me in the exercise department.

I I don't know, but i know that after surgery and radiation can go for months, i asked the breast cancer nurse and she said, it can last up to a year and over, But not sure on the Tamoxcifen. sorry i can't help much  there,  sometimes i look  it up about side effects on google  but not learnt much off there either.
