bgirl yeah for good results. And you are right there is no such thing as just a test any more.
I am going to see my grandkids this weekend. I can't wait. Will leave right after work tomorrow and get there late, but then I can sleep in on Friday. Bought my twin GD's the cutiest socks that look like cowboy boots. The oldest I bought her a horse book that has 3D glasses you wear to look at the book. Can you tell they are all cowgirls, yes my 5 year old granddaughter has a horse and rides by herself.

Sherry that sounds fantastic. I love the fact that the 5 year old rides by herself. My daughter did it for some time, just too much money here to continue. Riding lessons were for 1 hour and then 1 hour grooming but it was $50 dollars a whack. I also cannot believe you found cowboy boot socks. You hot ticket you....spoil those babies rotten and have a fun weekend!

Hey here gals...I have missed a whole bunch of pillow fights yet again!!! Came back from China and launched right into a teacher training course and have been running for a month...missed pillow fights and likely a whole bunch of pocekt parties! I was pooped the first 10 days and in bed early because of jetlag and now here it is....12:43 am and I am trying to make myself go to bed...Have been gong regularly to an osteopath and my massage therapist for lymphatic massages and paddling 3x a week...the choir's last performance is Saturday evening so I can stop fretting about conflicting Monday night events....just water water water...starting to understand the mechanics of paddling...the women, as yo would well imagine being a survivor group, are TERRIFIC!
Repeat after me...OSTEOPATH!!!! for all our rib pain....tight chests and backs...bodies that have gone out of alignment because of breast cancer and its treatments...omg...OSTEOPATH!!! I feel like he reached in and touchedmy soul the first treatment...yep...cried on the table...and sinc ethen I have laughed, railed against the world but mostly let him simply move me this way and that as he got near the pain...my legs are now the same length again (no more foot pain or hip pain) and my sore shoulder is no longer sore...he has popped my hip back into place (I stopped going to chiro) and thanks to yesterday's session, I an now flexibly touch the ground with my chest when I am sitting with my legs out in a v....something I have been unable to do for two years...not being flexible has bothered m as muc as the pain in some ways...anyhow...I am deligted my massage therapist recommended one...helping me to paddle stronger inthe boat too!!!
More news soon but...wanted to get a WHACK in there for Joe, June, Tink, Sherry, Paula and welcoem midnight!!! I studied in New Zealand (Christchurch) in 2002...passed through Wellington and felt super comfy the whole time...as friendly as we are here in the maritimes....but i admin to having toruble understanding people on the days I was super tired! there is always someone here for support...this group on THIS thread got me through the roughest year I could imagine...this is a good place to be my dear!
to anyone I have missed...HUGS!

Just want to rant for a minute:
okay, this stupid drain is Finally showing less than 30cc and, of course, it is the weekend...and a 3 day weekend, no less!!!! I have to keep this stupid thing in till Tuesday now, when I could be taking a shower!
Thank you.

Vicki.....rant on baby! So sorry you have to be tethered over the weekend. I could take a shower with my drains. Doctors and their recommendations are all so different. Hang in there!

I have decided I can no longer tolerate the SEs of Aromisin. That darn neuropathy is so painful, it's almost debilitating.
Every single morning I wake with excruciating pain in my hands,
I've tried Femara ...has some SEs but not like this.........
Tell me a bit about Tamox....??
0 -
1openheart, mine says no shower with drains. All doc's are different in that regard; so weird.
viviraselena, sorry for the bad SE's. Hopefully, the doc's will find something that works and let's You feel like you can do whatever. Love your pic, by the way. You are beautiful.

Thank you Vicki for the nice compliment! The hair is 100 percent courtesy of the chemo! I took a shower the day after surgery WITH my drains! I took a long piece of cellophane, threaded it through each opening and tied it close around my neck. DONE! No prob whatsoever.
I may switch back to Femara....I had joint pain, but it was tolerable. On this Aromasin, my hands wake me up and feel like theyre on fire! Plus, my right hand stays "asleep" longer and longer...so, we'll see. I know I'm supposed to be on one of these AIs for 5 years, but losing use of my right hand is not gonna be an option.
I guess it's just gonna be this way until it isn't anymore.
Geeeeeeez

Dos the muscle aches get better with time? I've been on Tamoxifen 2 weeks. At first, I saw no side effects other than night sweats which I had on ocassion before. The past few days the muscle pain has gotten worse. Today, I hurt all over...I took an aleve but I do not want to feel this way every day!! Any advice?

I've been on Tamox for 1 1/2 yrs and sometimes I feel like an old lady. I'm having carpal surgery in 2 wks and I am HOPING that it will help my hands. Although, between scar from the breast surgeries and the Tamox, I'm not sure how much it will help. Crossing my fingers..... ah, maybe not :0
Does anyone know if this all changes AFTER you get off the Tamox and what the lasting effects are??

vivirasselena - I was started on the Al's but had such an intense, painful reaction that my MO switched me to Tamoxifen. I am almost 20 years post menopause so don't know if my se's would be similar to yours or not. My se's have been mild compared to the Al's. None of the night sweats and flashes the pre-menopausal women have. Some joint pain, mostly in joints already arthritic. Mild insomnia, taken care of with low doses of melatonin. My worst problem peripheral neuropathy. It has not really been painful but the numbing of soles of my feet and the palms and fingers of my hands have caused some balance problems and trouble getting a sure grip on things or handling paperwork.

I went menopausal and breastless all at once and had ALOT of issues before surgery. Hysterectomy came because the Tamox made a fibroid grow on top of my bladder (OUCH!!!!!).
Hmmm, I really worried my carpal surgery might not help:/ I feel like a clutz half the time and the half, I just don't remember.
Why don't drs ever REALLY believe how many SEs there are to the meds???? They just keep adding more meds to fix the problem.
OK, gonna tear up because I feel like my 97 year old grandma and I'm 50yrs younger!!!!!!

Wow, I just dragged it from FB!!! COOL :DJ
