HIGH HIGH HIGH wind gusts here. We've lost power at our house -- so we have made a pilgrimage to the babeez, who still have elec.

We've already 'lost' one tree  at home.

Roof blown off a lumber store between here and there

    flickering here

    stay safe all

Thank you MaryLou. We're over @ my daughter/SIL home. They still have power and I brought my laptop. It has gone flickering/out here at least 10 times in the last hour.

Here's a promised pic of "our beach babeez" now 4.5 months plus a tad:

I've got more pics, if the power stays connected..........

And here's WB (Wonder Boy, for you newbies) this is last night, when we walked in the door..... he was preparing the salad and he's being happy to share a grape with me:

These are my three 'biological/no-kidding-legit' grand-kids. I have two more out in Denver that I gain thru my stepson and his lovely wife. So I claim five all together..... don't usually 'define' them in this way -- just attempting to help you figure our story out a teeny bit.

she made these two little bears from a kit, as i understand it..... look carefully and see the nickle placed so that you could see just how small they are

she'll have to tell you the details, but i'm tellin' you they were awesome!!

saint, those litle bears are soooo cute and lots of detail in them too!!  You look different in each pic of you!

faith, thank for sharing those pics.  I think the boyz in the family have the "eyelashes gene" for sure!!  the pink babygirl is much fairer and lighter haired, and paler lashes. But Wonder Boy and the Blueby have the furry lashes!! hmmmm....i only see one pic of you and saint and the doggie, but you did mention the "2nd" one...?

Now close-ups to really compare eyes, lashes and coloring..........

The big boy, weighing nearly 16 pounds now:

And our light weight, now weighin' 11 pounds and a bit of change:

I swear I have not photo shopped her hair, it has the suggestion of strawberries. I'll flip my gourd if it gets red. [For as long as I can remember I've LOVED red hair.... went shopping for boyfriends on how red their hair was...... seems my dad's red hair may have won some of the genetic wrestling match.]

One last bit of fluff and nonsense for tonight. I preface this by saying, "I am very easily amused."

In rural WI they name many, many of the county roads by letters of the alphabet. So I amuse myself by taking pics of these signs and then constucting little collages of meaning for various family members.

Anyhow, we took a new and seriously back roads way home (to get to SAINT's) and look what I found:

Saint had always abreviated my nick in chat as FF -- which sometimes confused folks..... so I was seriously filled with giggles to find this. Next year we'll get a better pic, looking for blue skies.

Sahalie, in answer to your question, we have been going to this get-away recreation area over the length of our marriage (14 years) and we bought our little postage stamp place 4 years ago, so this was our third season of playing there.

goodness gracious.......... they've just come on the TV and said that there is so much damage in the area and so many areas without power -- that the power company has made the prediction, based on previous outages of this magnitude that it will very probably take seven days to get power restored to everyone.

we worked so hard to get this cooler full of salmon home, and now we don't have a freezer to keep it in. LOL. BIG cook out tomorrow night at DD Sarah's. everybody's invited for salmon and a bunch of baby bouncing.

maybe we'll be on the sooner side of power restoration to our neighborhood, rather than the later side

Goodevening beach friends. Haven't had much time for the beach today but i really need a calm beach and a drink and some friends to hold me up.

Celia, thank you so much for info about those shell angels, I can see a whole Christmans tree covered with them and twinkling lights.  A lovely thought.

Faith, beautiful pictures, those babes are so cute.

Saint the pictures of you and Faith are beautiful, you guys look like you are having such fun together.  It is good to have a friend like that.

Foots, hope you are finding some help.  I pm's Binney4 because that is our lymphodema knowledgeable person.  so maybe she can tell you where to go to.

At our church if anyone need something, it is posted on a board for everyone to read so people end up getting a lot of things they need because someone else had an extra or they may take up an offering for you.

Sahalie, I bet you are so excited about your coming trip.  but will miss your presence and thoughts while you are away.

Julz, where are you beach jewel, am missing you tonight.  Did you have a good day?  Tomorrow is my onc appt. so kind of nervous.

Harley, am happy when you are on the beach and thrilled you feel good enough to join in at times on the story line now.

Heymoose, hope you are all well

Mary Lou that cup you posted for faith is wonderful.  I would drink out of that everymorning.

Hi to wings, do you have your day care in your home or a different building.  Do ya need a cook?  I will fly out on the Harley I own in my dreams and work for you.

Biker, hope all is well with you, Do you guys every do the talemena drive that starts in Oklahoma and ends over the mountain in Arkansas?  When we go there sometimes is Bikers everywhere, you cannot get a motel room and camps and tents are set up all over.  Sometimes there are so many biker that are in Davis, Okla especially at Turner Falls Park.  I guess It's meet up of some kind but they are always so friendly and bring a lot of business to that little bitty town.

Shrink, no wonder your not on as much as you use to be with a hunk like that at home.

Margo, are you having island withdrawels.  Just in case I will post a picture for you and hope you post us some pictures you took.

Lots of love and hugs from A to Z

For some reason my computer is not letting me post pictures tonight sorry.

A Favour Asked :  Written in Sand

I am asking all of my beach buddies to send me an email to be forwarded to Jacqueline.  She is my friend in the hospital.  She is doing ok now but everyone except her knows that she will be an angel sometime soon.  I am hoping to be able to flip a handful of emails to show that there is love and concern and prayers coming her way since talking tires her out.  My email address is Dreamwriter@sympatico.ca

Thanks with a heart drawn in the sand

Spar. I hope that they give you a BIG room for your appointment -- because we will ALL be there in spirit, holding your hand, keeping you calm, sending in a gentle beach breeze to keep you calm. Maybe you should go wearing flip-flops. It will remind you that we're all with you.

If you look really close at the picture of Saint and I -- you'll see she's wearing a sundress with beachie shells AND her big bright fish earrings.

We do need to find the beach -- where ever we go.

Special angel hugs to you tonight, to sleep well.

    Hey Beachie kids!

so...after being away for 7 pages I stopped back again just to be sure I didn't fall too far behind! LOLOL

Celia-- I never look the same in any 2 pix--the camera hates me almost as much as I hate it!! BUT---if you go to  http://blog.flickr.net/en/2006/07/08/first-impressionism/  (or google Beloit Seurat) you will find a reproduction some ppl in our town did of the famous "Sunday in the Park on the Island of La Gran Jatte"----my dd & I are in the center foreground sitting, son is on the back of the sailboat (with my surgeon) the runner in the upper left is my onc nurse & the man behind her with the golden retreiver is dh! We just went down to watch----& there we are for posterity with lots of neighbors & friends!    The bears are by Emily Farmer. I had made close to 2 dozen of them b4 the eye se's took the fun out of them---if you like miniature detailed stuff they are very enjoyable to do--gotta turn the pieces with a tweezers! I used to like that kind of challenge.

F&F--Greg says you should delete those pix & repost after playing in photobucket like we did the other nite---draw me some hair & cover my jowls with a ruffle collar & straighten my glasses!!!!!! LOL  When I see pix like that it is not hard to understand why I don't believe ppl who tell me I look good!!! Or maybe they are just leaving off, "..for a walking corpse!" I hate what cancer has done to my body, but we still have fun......!  LOL

Spar--hugs & prayers----I lit that candle for everyone today AGAIN!

Stay dry & hope all have everything needed--like electricity! Sweet dreams-Be well & stay strong

Faith and Julz - Add me to the list of inspirational Sunday services. I attended a Catholic Baptism this morning for two boys in my Day Care that are brothers aged 10 and 7. So sweet to watch them go through the ceremony.

Faith - Awwww the babies are growing. Little brother looks a lot like WB with those eyes. Little sister and her strawberry hair is a cutie pie.

Saint - Nice morning pictures of you and Faith. Your little bears are so cute.

Julz - Great news that your niece in Texas is ok. How was your youngest football game?

Lisa - I enjoyed the art piece with the live flowers.

Celia - Thank you for posting the angel shell ornament instructions. I am always looking for "easy" craft ideas.

Harley and Julz - I have you both beat Mr. Wings and I have been married for 30 years......high school sweethearts.

Spar - Good luck tomorrow at onc. we will be thinking of you. Anytime you want to cook for me come on over dream Harley bike or not. I operate a licensed Day Care out of my home.

Sahalie - Did you ever get your stepping stones made from your redwood?

BikerJ - The Hawaiian shirt pastor renewing vows for your friends sounds charming. I have thought about having our vows renewed some day. I think it would be neat to have them renewed at a lighthouse however I think Mr Wings would prefer them done at a Harley Bash instead. Can't wait to compare our fall foliage ride pictures.

    Hi to Marylou & Earl

Saint, you do look good. PERIOD. If I ever get good at photoshop or some equivalent that I'll go in and give us back about 25 years and our long, waist length, straight hair.

Julz, i wish you could see Saint's little bears -- they are amazing.

Footie, always thinking of you and sending you some strength for your journey.

Not going to attempt to get to everyone tonight..... brain falling asleep, as fingers type.

faith, with the up-close pix of the babeez, i am now quite sure that the blueby has the eyelash gene (along with WB) and the pinkby has the fair-skinned, pale lashes, and the redhead gene!!  i love the FF road sign.  That power situation sounds drastic, especially since you are far north of the Texas deal.  Hope the power comes on sooner than a week.

spar, i am glad you liked the angel shell project.  I am wishing you good luck with your onc appt. We will be with you...look for the drifting sand on the floor of the exam room .

dreamer, it might be nice to print out the whole lovely thread for Jacqueline that you started, and show that to her also. You are a sweet friend for her.

harley, wow on the anniversary and the cruise!  bring back some sand for our beach.  I know you and dh will have a wonderful time.

julz, 24 years!! My dh and I just had our 18th anniversary this past August.Thank you for telling us about the Robin Roberts/Diane Sawyer article. I think we are all crafts instructors here on the beach. I guess it just is very natural for me since i am an art teacher.

saint, now listen here....you look really good in that photo, and i don't think people are just saying that to you!!!. i love that Beloit Seurat photo....what a grand idea that was for your town!!!!!  I had trouble with finding some of the ones you mentioned....like the Golden Retriever, and the runner on the upper left (there is a runner in the middle on the right of the big tree trunk...??).

wings, i enjoyed your post.  wow, married 30 years and high school sweethearts!!!! If you make the shell angel, I hope you will post pics of it for us!

sahalie, i am always so glad to see your posts and read your images.  I really love those flip flopper cookies! I am happy for you that your vacation in paradise is coming so soon!! but we will miss you of course.

marylou, nice to see you on the beach. i like those beach umbrellas you posted.....i need the shade since i only burn in the sun.

foots, i hope you are well today and feeling happy.  You are such a positive person.  I wish that you can get some help and are able to get the things that you need. We have plenty of lemonade and cookies here...help yourself!

bikerjan,  i love your stories from the bike and the road. Hope it has been a good weekend for you.

hello and hugs to sige, moose,  lisa, jasmine, and all others (my brain is tired).

Just a quick pop in before work - my vacation is officially over and I am getting sick!  I have been fighting a sore throat since yesterday.....wonderful.

Faith, the kids are getting so big!  Great pics of you and Saint!

    Saint, love your furbaby.

Harley, I haven't been on a cruise in years, decades actually.  Was going to go with the girls - one is turning 50 this year - and we had to cancel it...bummed.

Spar, thinking of you at your appointment.

Wings, you have been married to Mr. Wings for 30 years???  That is awesome.

    Mary-Lou, welcome.

Sahalie, cooler days are ahead - even rain forecasted for Thursday.

Lots of others I missed.  Will check back when I can.
