we all get different ads on the side depending on things we've "liked" or visited on FB.  I don't see the same ads you do, and sometimes when a banner covers mine, it doesn't yours, and vice versa. FB is taking over our lives!!

Faith, I don't know how I missed that picture when I posted last night - I must have been typing when it went up or something. That is breathtaking, there's just nothing  better than sunset or sunrise on water. Hoping to catch one tomorrow or Sat night here ... we ate late tonight so it would have been over by the time we got there if we'd gone tonight. Glad you didn't hurt yourself running down there!!!

I have to figure out my beach pictures - there are some terrific pictures of mum on the beach, and then post them this weekend.  We had so much fun and would love to get a huge group of us together to go on another cruise!  I'm currently enjoying a little "toddy for the body" in my Carnival "drink of the day" glass right now (no work tomorrow - yeah).  My coconut monkey needed a break after the long and busy week last week!

Thanks for the affirmation for my hustle down to the water.

We live a full block from the marina.

This is the harbor of Sister Bay, which is on the big water of Green Bay, WI.  (Not the same as the city of Green Bay -- which is about 1.5 hours down our peninsula.

Today, I had a crummy, crummy mishap.

I was dashing out our front door again........ zipping out to join the owner of the Art gallery hosting my book signing later this weekend. I grabbed up my camera -- because the northern part of the peninula is especially gorgeous.

Anyhow while dashing I dropped my beloved camera on the sidewalk. Alas. It is indeed non-functional. I am so bummed.

I don't know if it can be repaired or if it's time to shop for my birthday present??

    argggggggggg

Moral to the story: zipping & dashing have their downside.

So I will have to relive last night's sundown for a while.

Faith, I think it's a late Mother's Day gift more than early bday ... heck girl, that's more than 4 months away, we can't target that one yet!!

Suz, I really, really would love to have a large BCO showing at the next cruise now that you and Mum confirmed it's a good time. Is it always May do you know?  I'll start planning now!!

Wine on a Thurs night ... life is good :)    (note to latecomers, I'm alrady on vaca..no work tomorrow...whoooo hooooooo)   :)

    So bummed about the camera.

We are so far out here on the edge of the world, there's not a camera store within an hour and a half drive into the big city.

I agree -- it's time to replace & possibly upgrade in the process, but I really want to see/feel my new friend before making a decision.

****Did all ya'all (periodically I need to insert foreign phrases to feel like an international traveler) notice that we're creeping upon our page 700 party??

Is it time to declare a theme?

Or do all the regular ingrediants of life guards in skimpy suits, chocolate and shells work again this time?

Have a great 'long' weekend everyone & celebrate all delights.

I realized a dream today ... it's amazing the things that become important to us over time. For me, each time I saw one of Faith's sand drawings, I just kept saying to myself "I want to do that". Well, today was our first day at Stone Harbor, NJ, the ocean beach we go to when not going to "our" bay beach at the campground. I was taking a walk along the water and had my lightbulb moment, saw a gorgeous shell, and did it ... love to all

and here are the lovely waves - not sure what all the spots are on this pic - didn't think I was close enough to get sea spray in the pic, but maybe I was!  It was an absolutely perfect beach day ... very nice cool breeze, steady the entire time we were there, but brilliant sunshine. Stopped at a local fish place on the way home - local drumfish on the grill as I type, 50 littleneck clams already found their way to our stomachs.  Life is good and I am oh so grateful :)

Mary, I couldn't see the first set, but am delighted to take in the vistas the second time with determination.

Isn't the sand writing fun? It always makes me feel like we're all there being kids in the sand together. Glad to have instigated your own fun.

Tonight we went out to dinner with our neighbors & their friends, who we will claim now as our own friends as well.

Tomorrow is my book signing up even further north -- at the tip of the top of the peninsula, at a contemporary Art Gallery. There was another nice article in our weekly Gazette that arrived today. Our buddies from tonight are coming, so there will be at least 2!!!

Anybody hosting a picnic we can all crash??

    xx00xx00xx00xx

Chrissy. I meant to thank you for your picture. It may look very famliar to you and you may hesitate to post, but each and every picture fills my heart anew. Keep 'em coming.

Faith, I was just reading an article saying that it is not the best time

to buy a really good camera as the sensors are about to get alot better

and that is what makes a picture great, not the pixels although they

    are important too
