    Dear Beachie Friends.

I have spent quite lovely chunks of the last couple weeks on the beach -- walking, musing.

Have pictures of sand and waves and waves and sand. Nothing especially remarkable, but so soothing.

We are now back 'home' for one night in our 7 weeks of vagabond and travel. Our renters arrive on Sunday, but by then we will already be on in New Orleans for a quick hop and then on to Baton Rouge. I am to meet our dear Coonie's daughter -- who is coming to attend the conference where I will be speaking. Cue "It's a Small World" music and sing-a-long!

The really great thing is that I've actually gotten to work on my next book. It takes me 16 quilts and I nearly have the first one accomplished!!!!! A New Year is a good thing.

You know what? On our two night cruise, there was never once the mention of life preservers or a drill or anything remotely connected to safety.

    Goodness gracious sakes alive.

    Everyone have an awesome weekend!!!

    xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

Hey Faithie...miss you :) Glad your most recent trek started well and is going well so far.

I keep feeling the need to come and see beaches since I won't see our Hideaway for another couple months. Posting a pic here now and then makes me feel closer to it somehow. Aahhh :)  So here's another of my favs from summers past. That's hub with the Delaware Bay in the background, and little inlets that come and go with the tide. We love being able to get to the beach during low tide when we can walk to parts of the beach otherwise covered by the bay. Love and hugs and happy friday to you all.

I`ve actually had a Turkish bath....in Turkey!!!! Then we had the mud and then a hotspring. The bath was kind of scary as they build the building over the water so you enter a room and there is the big rectangular cut out with the water exposed...but the water continues on under the building. So anything really, could swim in there. And yes...we `did it` in the bath!!! We were along, obviously...!

Mum, I used to swim with (lone) barracuda too! They tend to be one at a time but they normally keep their face to you. You must have caught him unawares. I found them to be very nervous-like. More underwater pix please!!

    Chabba, UNREAL!!!

Mum, do you hear the parrot fish when they chew on the coral? We used to hear the crunch, crunch and finally figured out 'who' was doing it. These look like the females. The males are really bright and have white smiles.

HI all, I have been reading through this thread a bit and wanted to join you all-- such an uplifting forum!

I grew up on the beach-- barrier island.  And I now live in the desert which has many attributes of the beach--except the WATER!!  :)

When I had lymphoma in 1987, I would get my chemo and drive to our family beach house. It was the most uplifting place for me.  I cannot do that this time with BC but hope that this forum might suffice.  Thanks to you all!  Q
