    not anymore

Yes, Ruth, I've actually seen three people get hit.  Two of them survived at least the immediate accident (I didn't know them, so don't know what may have happened later.)  One died at the scene (running for a bus, and jay-ran in front of another bus that hit him....)  I was at the bus stop he was running for.  It was awful.

The next person likes to dye fabric.

False.....I remember my mom doing it in a huge pan on the stove....

(garden:  how awful to have witnessed that not once but 3x.  I've "heard" a lot of car crashes (used to live on a very dangerous curve) and been there before anyone else to help but to see a person hit by a car is something I'd never want to witness - I'm sure you had nightmares)

The next person is going to enjoy 70 degree weather today!

    pallir Member Posts: 227

My job ends when I go to heaven, and I'm hoping to be too happy to miss even the best parts of my job down here.

The next person enjoys working with their hands . . .

((Thanks to gardengumby and WellWater for your well wishes. I am having an LSGAP or hip flap procedure with Dr. Flores, it's not as long nor as difficult and is supposed to take between 4 and 5 1/2 hrs, if all goes well.  The vein is longer than the traditional SGAP and this makes it easier, they say.  The recovery is supposed to be easier on the body, too.  Should be in the hospital 2-3 days.

About Twinkies,  my DH mentioned it to me this AM and I said, "Oh, no! I love their cream filled chocolate cakes." He said, " Well you better enjoy them now 'cause the whole company is goin' tits up."  Before he realized what he'd said, I told him, ". . . must be nice . . ." It's nice being married to a man who can laugh with you, even when it's at himself!))

They used to say that cockroaches and twinkies would be the only thing that survived a nuclear attack. Guess the roaches will go hungry now. :-)
