    Thanks for bumping this.  I had my first chemo treatment today.  Needless to say, I was very nervous. However, the "chemo team" helped me to feel at ease and my oncologist is great.  I've started my "survival kit" and bought a couple good hats to shield me from the sun.  Thanks again for the great info.

    That's great, Merilee. Fluids are so important to flush out the chemo and rehydrate the body.

    Just found this site -- what a wealth of great information! Had my first chemo last week, second coming up on Friday - I will be putting together my "go" kit for chemo using a lot of the suggestions on this list.
