Thanks for the wonderful info. I have found that the cancer center where I get my chemo gives you a choice of popsicles or ice chips during Adriamycin administration to prevent mouth sores as a matter of course.

     Kiss bump

At home, I stocked up on popsicles, frozen fruit bars & lemon ice, to cool my mouth and hydrate.

Great idea Badger! Also, sucking on popsicles, ice chips etc. during the chemo infusion helps prevent mouth sores. Always a good thing! :)

    Bump..Smile
Hey Khertenst & Nico. Sucking on popsicles and ice chips during chemo is a great idea.
But Using a chemical and alcohol free mouth rinse along with popsicles & ice chips can effectively help prevent and get relief from mouth sores, and even use of lemon drops or creamsavers can help promoting saliva production.
Try avoiding milk products as they may be difficult to digest and specially when u r suffering from nausea and vomiting.

Thank you for all of this great information. I meet with my oncologist again tomorrow and expect to start Chemo next week - TCH, as far as I know. Looks like I'll be doing some shopping this weekend =).

Anyone looking for extra soft toothbrushes, check the kids toothbrushes. Most are extra soft.

If anyone knows where the thread "The road to hell" is, would you bump it?  someone mentioned it and I'm interested in reading it.

Thanks, and what a great chemo list shopping list!  May I copy it and give it to a breast surgeon I know?  she is always looking for something like this to give her patients before she sends them to an onc.
