I agree annde, Tucks are a good thing! Rinsing the nether region with warm water (I used a water bottle with a sports drink top) also helps keep the skin from getting chemo rash. And as always FLUIDS! FLUIDS! FLUIDS! to flush the chemo ASAP and keep us hydrated.

This post mentions vitamin B6 for neuropathy. To expand on that, my onco nurse recommended B-complex (which has more B vitamins) and magnesium.

This homemade remedy for mouth sores is mentioned here and on other breastcancer sites and works really well.
Equal parts of any liquid benadryl and liquid Maalox. Only mix up what you are going to use.  About 1 teaspoon of each. Swish in mouth for a minute or two like a mouth wash. Then spit out.

This list is brilliant. I did chem in 2000. Twelve years ago. I faced all the fear of everyone here. We share that. Knock on wood, all is well!! And I wish the same to all of you.

I agree we need to keep this thread at the top, biotene was a life saver for my mouth. Had sore mouth once but that was due to me trying to eat spicy food, not very smart, but biotene cleared it up quickly. Tomorrow is my last chemo treatment which is the F booster, thank you Lord. Now, when will I be rid of black nails both hands and feet, motley looking hand and feet, I want hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes, most of all I just want to feel better and not be so tired all the time. I start radiation next month, not really complaining but I really do think I see a light at the end of this tunnel, and it is not a train :). I love life...

To borrow a quote from one of Badger's previous posts ~

Murphy's Law of Chemo SE Management: "If you don't have something on hand, you will need it exactly when you cannot go out and get it."

Corollary: "If you buy it in advance, you will end up not needing it at all."

I learned that one the hard way. Keep Imodium on hand ~ just sayin' ! :)

    bearcub ~

I agree, this does need to be bumped more often. It's great that it is pinned to the top of the chemo forum but newbies don't always get beyond what is posted on the first 2 pages of the boards at first. It takes awhile to learn to navigate around here!

That said...................   BUMPING for the Oct. 12  group!
