it's just a post to bump the thread back to the top of the "Active Topics" list for others to find more easily.

And this is SUCH a valuable thread for anyone starting any chemo!!! That's why we keep "bumping". It takes it to top of the "active" lists so it's readily available for people who join w/a new diagnosis.

2nd_time_ar… this is my second time around, 1995. BMX, and now chemo. Lots of us out there.. I start chemo in a couple of weeks second time around. Not any easier I will tell you. BMX Jan 6th, back to work 20 days later, the chemo was a surprise so here I am on this forum. I AM SPEACHLESS.0 -
RevUp - sorry you have to join us. This thread is a wonderful reference. You may want to join the group of women just starting chemo as you are. There's usually a current thread – like February Chemo 2015
https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/69/topic/827966?page=1#idx_25
(please cut & paste or look in the active file if the link doesn't work). And you may want to go back & find the month or the quarter before to read & see how those just before you are solving issues. Also there's a "recurrence" thread. Once you fill in your personal profile with your specifics we'll be better able to recommend other things that might be relevant.

Thank you for this thread. I might have to start chemo soon after having been under the impression I was having surgery first. I have a lot of reading to do.

Can someone add this to the mouth sores section?
I started having a terrible time with canker sores (about 6 or 7 years ago) and did extensive reading about it because I was miserable. At one point, I had about 6 of them in my mouth. I learned to pop 2 lysine tablets at the first second I felt one coming on and take more of them in the next few days. They stopped them cold. Now I don't even get them anymore. I might start taking them daily BEFORE starting chemo. I looked it up and they have been recommended during chemo.

Never heard of lysine tabs myself, will have to try & remember this. I suck on ice during infusions.

Hi All,
No need to bump, since it is a "sticky" post, and will stay at the top.
Do you all feel that rock's initial post is complete? We want to add a complete-as-possible list to our next newsletter!
