    Dear Lord, Please bless and give peace to everyone

    here. Help them feel Your comforting love and caring

    arms of love reaching out to everyone. Thank You Lord,

    for all You are doing to help us, as we do remember all

    You have done for us here. Like the wonderful tests results.

    I really like the line, Know for certain there are no troubles you children face, that others have not faced before you...

    This is how we can witness for each other. We may be in varying stages, and experience treatments differently, but we are not unique to this disease from those who have had breast cancer before us. Our uniqueness comes in how we deal with these challenges, and how it changes our lives. It has changed us all in one way or another. Let us honor each others journey, and lift each other up.

    Hi all, I'm asking for prayer for me. Tomorrow, this Monday the 29th, I'm having a minor surgery for stress urinary incontinence.  Please pray that all will go well and guidance for my doctor.  Also, please pray for me to be strong.  I used to okay with needles and all but after all that I've been thru these last 21 months, the though of any more added discomfort is a concern.  Please pray with me as I ask our Lord to fill me with His peace, mercy & grace.

    Your hands guiding her Surgeons. Help her healing

    Last week's sermon at my church revolved around the verse from James:

    "Whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance & let endurance have it's full effect so that you may be mature & complete, lacking in nothing."    -- James 1: 1-2

    As a group we have faced many trials. Some in our group are in the midst of facing trials as I type. It is such a challlenge in the very midst of a 'trial' to consider it nothing but joy, as we are encouraged here. (I'm speaking for myself.)

    Yet, upon reflection, there is a certain amount of maturity that does come from that endurance.

    May we hold one another close in the midst of trials -- so that we can remind one another to always focus on the joy that is at hand.

    This morning I am typing on my laptop, while my DH drives us at 70 MPH toward our daughters home. Who would have ever dreamt such a possibility? Even five years ago. Even a couple years ago. We are moving into such amazing possibilities -- with knowledge at our fingertips, just a click away.

    We can be connected to one another, praying, holding one another's hands..... in the midst of these trials. We need not be alone.

    Thank you Merciful One for connecting us to one another -- even in the midst of our trials. May we focus on your word. Where two or more or gathered..........

    We are here. We have a faithful praying partner in our dearest Footie. We ask that you give her strength for her trials..... and for Dovehome now facing a new procedure. Be with each and every person who reads along, in the midst of their own trials.

    I found such a sense of peace in writing out the scripture on the edge of the bulletin. Must remember to do that in the future.

    Beautifully said Faith.

    I was talking with my friend's mom after Thanksgiving about this site. How wonderful for those of us who at various times have been bed bound, to be able to communicate. We don't have to suffer alone, and I even "attended Church" with my friend when she came to help me during chemo. She went to the National Cathedral, and I watched online.

    It is a mature person that can touch joy in the midst of trials. It's good to have this as a goal, because it shapes one's thinking, and give the power back that seems so far gone. We do have power over our thoughts and responses. Thank you very much for taking the time to share this. And thank you God, as I have learned more about your Grace tonight, and you made this possible.

    Blessings to all, and Foots, I am praying for you tomorrow.

    help them to feel all Your love and comfort with them.

    Bless and give peace to all that are hurting or going

    through hard times. Please Lord, May we see Your

    joy even though our trials. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

    Prayer is a gift...

    The following are a few of the prayers I have uttered during the past weeks:

    Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for today.  Today is mine and, in this moment, I have hope for tomorrow.  God is in me, with me, through me and for me and where God is there can be no imperfection.  In Jesus' name, I live and breathe.  Amen.

    Prayer: O Lord, even as I suffer from my illness, I believe in your might. Even as I am besieged by armies of pain, I seek refuge in you. Help me to experience your presence even more clearly in my life. Give me courage to face anything, to endure everything with you by my side, that I may bless your Holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, for You are the one praise. (Jeremiah 17:14) Amen. 

    Prayer: Dear Lord, Let it be. Let us always speak our truth in whispers, in shouts, in songs, and in praise. May our tears proclaim release and may our laughter announce thanksgiving. Let us always find sanctuary in your temple... yes, let us embrace the safe place and sacred space that is your pavilion. And, merciful Mother Father God, let us always be lifted from our knees by your grace and mercy and be enabled to journey onward.  Yes, Lord, let it be.  In Jesus name, we pray.  Amen.

    We are just this morning driving out of DC, as our daughter lives in Bowie, SIL is stationed in Annapolis. Praying friends we are driving into the big city this morning: NYC!!! We are such country mice, yet I am sooooooo excited that this professional dream is to be realized. Such a blessing, a joy, a triumph of what our Maker is able to do -- in spite of our very human failings.

    May we always encourage one another. There is the very genuine possibility of brighter days beyond the darkness. Today is such a day for me, even while our dearest Footie must endure trials at this same moment. May I use my energy, my enthusiasm, my JOY at enduring -- to claim this day for our Merciful Creator.

    My body is scarred. My body is indeed somewhat broken and typically in pain...... yet not a smidge of that will matter to the children this afternoon. I have such JOY available, because I have had each of you to help during the trials, to build the endurance.

    Hello, good news..everything went well! Praise God!  Recovery was a little long due to the meds that put me out but no problems with procedures or IV and I have not had to take any pain meds - wow!  yeah!!  I was also blessed as they were wheeling me down the hall to the surgery room I ran into the surgeon that did my lumpectomy.  He had saw my name on the board and was coming to see me.  That was comforting to know he remembered me and an added bonus is that I got to hold his hands.  My mom and friends and I have nicked name him Doctor Soft Hands...really he has the softest hands...fitting for a man that has a tender heart as well. 

    Thank you all for praying for me...I believe that God smiles on us as we pray for one another here as I believe our faith pleases Him Smile.

    Thanks faithandfity for the James 1:1-2 verses. It touched my heart as I needed that affirmation of the work our Lord is doing in me as I face trials to bring about His purposes.  I'm putting a sticky note on my computer that reads 'consider it nothing but joy' to remind me that the same God that said "let there be light' said 'let endurance or patience (KJV) have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothng.

    Dear God as we wait for word on Foots we ask the you continue to heal her heart issues also. Help her to stay strong and calm throughtout this test. You know her needs. In your name I pray.

     I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within

    me. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope;

    Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed,

    for this compassion's never fail. They are new every

    morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, " The

    Lord is my portion; therefore I wait for Him."

    Lamentations 3:20-24

    Thank You for the hope and confidence You place within

    us, Lord. Thank You for helping us shed the life of being

    a victims. You are the One that makes us victors. Because

    we trust in You. We gain Your wisdom to make right decisions

    that are within Your will and best for us.

    We praise You that we need not worry about anything.

    Instead, We pray about what comes our way and seeks Your di-

    rection. We trust You, Lord, to work things out for the best.

    We praise You for helping us with daily decisions. When

    we are confused, You are right with us, and understand us so well.

    As we seek Your will and walk in Your ways, We are grateful

    that You go with us and give us triumph. Thank You

    for helping us to be selwart and courageous in our times of

    difficulty. With You by our side, We can overcome fear, trust-

    ing You to banish it. Should it return, We know You will re-

    move it again.

    This victorious life doesn't come from weak efforts on our parts.

    Instead, We praise You for being the conqueror over our wrong

    and for providing us victory.

        Praise be to God and Father of Our

    Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Compassion

    and the God of all comfort, who comforts us

     in all our troubles, so we can comfort those

    in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves

      have received from God. 2 Corinthians 1: 3-4

    Dear Lord, I Love You so much, Lord. Yet no matter how great my love,

                     it can't compare to the love You give me. I want to honor 

                    You with my love. Show me how to care for others with the

                     same unselfish kindness You give to me. Fill me with Your

                     Holy Spirit. Use me to give them Your love. As You direct

                     my life, You generate my sensitivity.

                              You are love, O Lord. As I live in You, I learn to care

                      more  then others; for You live in me. I feel the warm com-

                     passion of Your Holy Spirit within me everywhere I go.  I

                     love You because You first loved me. You have helped me

                    give up my old selfish life I once had . Now it is centered on

                     the things that honor and please You. Help me to remember

                    to care for others as much as You do for me.  Grant me 

                    enough love to look beyond the faults and see the needs---

                    in the same way You did mine. Instead of being selfish, I

                    want to be generous.  Instead of being bitter, I want to

                    show compassion. I want to revere You, Lord, and love the

                    same way You do. In Jesus name. Amen.

       The Lord himself watches over you!

    the Lord stands beside you as your protective

    shade.

    The sun will not hurt you by day,

    or the moon by night.

    The Lord keeps you from all evil

    and preserves your life.

    The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and

    go,

    both now and forever. Psalm 121: 5-8

    that they will be filled with Your peace and everlasting

    love. be with those that are hurting or in need or Your

    comforting love as they rest in Your loving arms. You

    To Sister Foots,

    May you never feel alone in this journey. While some of us may not have family in our homes, we should not despair. Our Spirit family watches over us day and night, while our BCO family holds us in their hearts and minds. Joy can be ours at any time, and I pray that we are well enough to be able to touch joy and not be burdened with pain or worry. Foots, your family is strong around you, and when we pray for you, it is as if we are in your living room with you. Prayers can find their way anywhere in the world in an instant, and this has been true since the start of time. So we sit with you now, holding your hand and sharing our journey together.

    May you feel God's love for you, and hear the prayers of your Angels.
