Andrea-I will be having my revision surgery tomorrow and will be exchanging my natrelle round style 20 550cc's that Ive had since Nov 2013 for the Anatomical 410's in either the FF535 or MF520 depending on which looks better, hopefully this will correct some rippling issues Ive had

CLYDAY - Do you mean what to expect from the exchange or from the fat grafting? I had fat grafting during revision surgery about two months ago. My PS went in through my belly button to harvest the fat needed for the grafting. I had two stitches in my navel when I woke up and had to wear a compression wrap for a few days afterwards. I was a little sore and a bit bruised, but the results of the fat grafting on thin skin are phenomenal! The stitches were removed when the wrap came off three days post op. I was leery of fat grafting at first, but am now a firm believer in the process! I hope that helps a little...

Clyday....
I had fat grating last surgery, 8 months ago.....fat was take from my side hips (only slight discomfort for less than a week....I wore a tube type compression, so much easier than the pantie shorts compressions....a PAIN when you "gotta go") and had it put in an area of a big divot one one side, 5 "holes" used for scapeling out injection sites....heeled quickly, hardly scars now (I used little patches of Scar Away, that I cut to slightly larger than the "holes")....helped, about 65-70% stayed ....but will need more, there and another place. I wasn't even a candidate at exchange or 1st revision surgery.

Catey, good luck tomorrow! I'll be thinking of you and looking forward to your updates!
Di, I'm sorry things didn't quite turn out like you hoped, and I confessed I giggled at the monikers, Grimace and Floppy. What does your PS say about them? Can s/he improve their appearance? Mine don't look too bad, but rads side is tight and my ROM in that arm is bad again. After my January surgery, it loosened up, but it's back, though not as bad as last time. Hopefully after this surgery, I won't need another. If I decide I want nipples, I'll make an appointment with Vinnie and go on a road trip. I think I've had enough surgery for a long time!

Late comer here, I have my surgery scheduled for Sept 5. PS is putting in ultra high mentor implants 500cc. Sandra thanks for the info on Exparel I will definitely ask about that!
Good luck Catey on your surgery today, we will all be thinking of you!

Thinking of you today, cateyz2. I hope the revision surgery goes (or went) smoothly and recovery is easy.
Best wishes!!!

Well ladies Ive been home for a couple of hours, but just woke up. Surgery went well, but even with the patch and numerous doses of
anti-nausea medication I thru up quite a few times before I was able to leave the hospital. From the little peak I had I really cant tell how they look and of course swelling but I do seem to have a little more cleavage (YAY)and he did remove my mole and sent that to pathology. Go back on Thurs for post up and to remove bandages. So will tak pics of the new girls to compare to the pics I took before surgery this morning and will post then

Catey, I'm sorry about the nausea, but glad to hear everything went so well. I'm looking forward to hearing updates. Rest up!

question...my exchange is in 2 weeks, should I stop taking my tamoxifen? I mentioned it to my PS and he said yes but I am wondering if I should clear it through my MO...I will probably call there tomorrow. Just wondered what you all on it have done.

Mischief, my surgeon said it didn't matter either way and oncologist said to continue taking it since Exchange surgery isn't as invasive and i should be moving a lot more after this surgery so no need to worry about blood clots. HOWEVER, it seemed like the majority of readers on this website had doctors that said to stop it before surgery. So, I decided to stop it on my own. I started right back up a few days after surgery.
Cateyz2, welcome home! Sorry to hear about the nausea. Hopefully the worst had passed. Rest up!

PONV (Post Op Nausea & Vomiting) is the worst! Sorry Catey. Hope you are feeling better.

Yes Sandra feeling much better. And of course I cheated a bit at looking at my new 410's. Cant tell a whole lot from what I saw but I know he used the old incisions to remove the rounds and put in the 410's. Also from what I saw there are four small incisions where he lipode the extra fat that was missed at BMX in addition to incision for lumpectomy scar tissue and removed mole on my back. Goin to try and do today without pain meds as not to bad but will definitely take to help me sleep tonight

Catey, I'm so glad you're feeling better! Did you have any pocket work done? Drains? My PS said I'll most likely have drains again (sigh). Can't wait to hear how you think they look!

Andrea yes I did have some pocket work done, however not sure as to how much, will find out more on Friday post-op appointment, and No drains, yeah!!! From what I can tell I think I will be happy with them, may cheat and take off wrap momentarily to take photos to post on "picture forum". I have a thread there and use my same name. Oh hell I might as well go take some pics now as curiosity is getting the best of me!
before anyone chimes in I know things will change but I want to see now! LOL

Catey you are too funny! Going over to picture forum now to see evidence of your cheating!

So sorry to hear about the nausea Catey that sucks and is something I tend to fear every time I go under and wake up as I get nauseous out as well. I'd be curious too and yay for no drains!!!!! I hope you recover super fast.
I'm counting down the days of my exchange as I'm getting tired of just sleeping on my back. Sometimes I'll wake up on my side and be so sore from it usually the right side. What I miss even more is for my hubby to be able to crack my back. Seems lately every time I lay down I'm even more sore especially on my right side around my chest, side and shoulder area, I hope this is just par for the course and nothing abnormal. Anyone else have this problem? I would expect more pain on my left side since it was the cancerous side but not my right.

I need to get access to the picture forum. After 2 years, I still haven't done it!

Mischief, I just had my pre-op Monday. PS told me to stop taking tamoxifen. My PS is really encouraging me to go for the lipo on my tummy. He said the fat grafting is not covered in reconstruction and that I will need it to have optimum results. Financially it is a large out of pocket expense for me, but he said if I wait a year and don't like the results to go back in, the cost would be double. So I think I'm just going to go for it and get a flatter stomach while I'm under construction anyways.I asked him "if you were me would you have it done?" he answered "most definitely. But I don't want to encourage you to do something that you are not comfortable with either" Has anyone else dealt with a similar circumstance, and if so, what did you decide?

Thanks Iwanna and Frostcat, I think I decided last night to stop taking it. Now I am wondering if I need to tell my MO. I will probably just call there and let him know. I would just let it go but I see him a few days before surgery so it just might come up.. :-)

My MO has told me all along if I miss a few days on Tamoxifen it is not a big deal. It's not like a birth control pill - he chuckled.

Ha! Good to know!!

I was told by all of my doctors to keep taking the Tamoxifen. He said if I miss a day or two not to worry. I can't wait to have 410s. Did anyone have saline implants before their BMX? I am curious as to the difference. I had saline before i was diagnosed.

Anyone exchange for sientra anatomical? Had my exchange last week. I have sientra anatomical 480cc oval base. Very pleased overall. One is slightly higher than other.

Darriea, my PS said he would be using the Sientra anatomicals for me in a couple of weeks. I am very glad to hear you are pleased with yours.

Goldie8469- Just had my revision exchange on the 26th. I had the allergan smooth round 20 in 550cc and had them switched to the 410's and so far I am pleased. I do have a thread on the picture forum and I use the same screen name. Before my exchange I did a lot of searching for others that have 410's but they are not as popular as they just recently been approved here in the US but have been used for years in other countries

It has been 4 months since my exchange. I still have a large seroma on my back. I have had it since last 9/14. Has anyone else had this issue?
