Thank you Sandy and Deborah for getting back to me on my implant question. I am just getting back from a week in Crested Bute, Colorado. I was wonderful!
As for my PS, I am not sure if he likes to put in larger implants than the TEs. I will definitely check.
Thank you again! You gals are the best!!!!

Sandy, earlier you had asked if I liked the looks of my TE. You felt that I needed a wider implant than my TEs. For the most part I do like the diameter size of my TE. I believe that they could be a tad larger though. Really, if my TEs were soft I'd keep them.
Thank you Mykidsmom for adding my exchange to the list!

Deborah - my ribcage is just shy of 28" - thin torso but muscular legs. I always looked a bit weird with my flat chest.......

Just wanted to say hi to everyone! I just didn't think my life could get crazier but it has so I don't have much time to spend with all my girls. Miss you and hope everyone keeps in good health and spirits.
In case I don't get on the forum again soon I want to say I'm praying and hoping hard that all turns out the very best for you Laura. You were the first person to welcome me on the tissue expander thread and you will always have a special spot in my heart. Gods's blessings on you during this time. Remember....if the Lord takes you to it, he will also take you through it!

Hello darlings....just want to wish Miss Laura the very best! I know you prayed hard for me with the scarey lung scans, and I am going to be praying my darndest for you to have the happiest ever outcome, most comfy time, best looking set of hooters around!! You will love them,, and boy will you ever be comfortable.
To catch up with you other gals: (Yvonne, good to e hear you, how are you doing?)...had the PS consult friday. Both depressing and uplifting as is often the case with this stuff (pun intended). He can't do the one step. I wanted to keep my nipple as hubby regards the new foob as an alien foob and still can't look it in it's shut eye, so I thought I'd better keep one. PS cannot do it without a two step as it's waaaay down south and he has to align it first so I'd need a reduce and lift first, wait three months, then a simple mastectomy to do what I want. Also would have an "eyebrow" scar over the top.
I'm thinking I will just go to fake nipps on both of 'em. I am hoping this will allow just a drap and trim instead of all this nip respositioning and reducing and lifting stuff. Hope so. I'll keep you posted. Hubby will just have to reassess his fear of Barbie for the sake of a great new rack. hey, he's got other stuff to play with, anyway. And I'm a bit sick of surgery by now.
love you all xoxoxoxo
Happy trails Laura!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God's love and light to surround you and bring you a happy booby outcome my dear!

p.s. oops: forgot to mention why he can't ....in case anyone else is considering this too. There is a size limit to doing it, you can't be more than a B or a large C tops to align boobies. Grrrr.

Mykidsmom - thanks for adding me to the list.
I have a question for the group...My PS actually measured (tape) length, width and projection of boobs when I was filled to my desired size and then we looked in a catalog for the right choose....I originally wanted a high profile for better projection but my height 5'8" and rib cage 34" she called me wide chested.....the style would have been too narrow for my chest.......I see most of you going by style of TE/cc to style of implant/cc......I know that my TE are not fully expanded but has anyone else been measured like this.....I have no problem with the shape/size of my TE and truly would love the implants to be this exact same size/dimension. I am filled to 350cc which on me is a B cup.

Val....Yes...with that Dolly Parton sized ribcage you are a candidate for the Style 45 - Allergan. It will be interesting to see what your PS decides for you.
DV8Q : We are hoping you check in soon! Praying all is well!

Checking in ladies..The pain is much more bearable than the mastectomy. I just let the PS do whatever, I dont even know what size is in there. They look small but feel soft.. that is through the bandages. 3more days till reveal day, and I will post pictures with notes from size, diameter etc. Its been a rough two weeks with a breakup and moving out of my house, so I just "went with it". Too stressfull and too tired with BC to search for another PS etc. My neck is killing me I cant seem to stop hunching over. Going in and out of sleep for the last 24hours watching movies on my laptop. I had the port removed as well through the same opening as the implants. I am glad to get that thing outta there with one less scar. Trying to brace myself for the uglyness behind the bandages ...bruising and such. Thanks for your helpfull responses of support.

DV8Q--I'm glad you've checked in. I hope you are happily surprised and instead of the ugliness you are bracing for, you find soft breasts that will heal beautifully in time. I'm sorry that you have so much going on. I agree, just go with the flow, heal, and deal with only the most important things on an as-needed basis. You and your health come first. Your neck may be sore from the OR table, I hope it goes away soon. Hugs and happy good wishes for you.

So, my girls are still changing. I go back and forth about moving my nipples in November. I'm scheduled for a lift and that includes moving my nipples. Suddenly, I'm thinking I can live with the rippling, and step off, to know for sure I won't lose my nipples. Then on the other hand, I told myself in the beginning that I would lose them for sure at MX if I didn't try and keep them, and knew that I could lose them later with the lift, so the turmoil never ends! I do love their shape and the way they feel on my body. I definately see them and embrace them as me.
I'm actually going to the beach this morning for a nice long walk with a good friend, can't wait to get my toes in the water, of course it is drizzling, welcome to July in Oregon!
Hugs to everyone, I race home to check the thread, but often too tired to post. A few nights this week I went to bed at 5:30 and slept straight through the night! I'm still working to regain my stanima.

DV8Q, You have had stress out the waazoo! I can tell from your posts that you are a very strong woman and that you have your priorities straight. Take care of yourself first, the other particulars will evolve at a later time. I hope your new girls are what you wanted. My sister has saline and I have seen her girls and they are beautiful. I just hope that you have the same feeling about yours. The reality is, if you are not happy, you will be able to do something about it at a later date when you choose to.
((Karen)) They let you keep your nipples? I hope that with lift the hats on the girls get to stay put! I don't know what rationalization/criteria that surgeons use on if you get to keep your nipples or not, any guesses? Jan

Nipple sparing mastectomies are becoming the surgery de jour for certain patients, with recent studies showing recurrence risks seem not much different than skin sparing w/o nipple preservation. If the nipple survives the mastectomy, then come the "design" challenges of how to get that nipple repositioned after expanders and then implants and still preserve the nipple integrity and sensation. Karen, you have a couple of months to wrestle with this decision. How about the T-lift....I believe they go through the inframammary fold up to the point of the areola? I do not know much at all about lifts - whether this would be appropriate - creates another scar - anchor lifts seem to be the most common....but I can see why you are hesitating.

Hi everybody,
I cannot believe my exchange day is almost here - WOO HOO!!! Can't WAIT!!! Thanks to all of you for your continued support and willingness to share and support all of us on here ... I feel so prepared for my surgery, and know that I can come here afterwards. I am going to take some pics of my TEs so I can post the before pics. I've had so many people tell me how great I look with the TEs, so I'm almost scared that the implants will be disappointing from an appearance perspective. I know I'll be happy with the softness. Anyway ... I'll post again once I'm home and feeling up to it. my prayers are with all of you who are also undergoing exchanges this week!!!

((Yvonne)) I am so glad that you checked in! Hope you are well, and that your humor is intact.
((Deborah)) Wow, I didn't know that nipple sparing surgery was becoming more common. I did ask if I could save my nipple and 2 surgeons said no, clusters too close to nipple area to risk saving. I still have one numb nipple left, when or if does sensation return? Thanks!
((Sue)) ((Elizabeth)) ((Dani)) ((aoandrew)) ((SaraJane)) ((rascalgal)) good thoughts and prayers for a great outcome and an easy recovery. Please check in about how it went. Still wanting to hear from this weeks ladies on their trip down surgery lane.
I am going with the MIL to see a surgeon tomorrow for her BC, hopefully it can be removed with lumpectomy as she has other health issues. BTW, can they do radiation tx if you have a pacemaker? Just curious if anyone knows, I will try to google it later.

Sue, I feel the same as you... those who do not realize I have TE in think they are either my old breasts.. or my implants.. I hope the real silicone implants do not make others say...." Why did you take the old ones out.. they looked great.."...
I feel my TE look like TE... but have gone to lengths to make sure Ihad no cleavage showing and had on a great bra with tees ... so they did look really good to the outside eye.
Here is too Great looking Implants girls this week!

Deborah, when is your appt. with the Fat Grafting Doctor there in CA? I cannot wait to hear what you have to say...

Hi all. I will be done with my last rad tx tomorrow! I hope to post here again with dates for the exchange. My TE at this moment is tight, but I have kept active stretching, massaging and smearing on lotion, aloe very and more lotion. We will see!!!!

Elizabeth - I had my exchange 7/2 and I'm doing well. I don't like cold, but the frozen peas they recommended really help with any discomfort and any swelling you might have. I felt the same way you do. It's weird huh? You are scared and yet you can't wait...makes no sense.
It feels weird to have stitches in my good breast, but at least the last big surgery is done. Hard to tell too much yet. Just remember, feel strong because you have part of all of us with you tomorrow and we will be praying and rooting for you!

i just noticed the july 8 completion for my exchange. I was unable to complete that exchange because i had to undergo six weeks of radiation treatment. i wish I was finished. So sorry, I thought I had moaned and groaned about it on this thread. I see the PS on Tuesday to talk about the time I may be able to have the exchange. I've heard varying wait times. I suppose it depends on how my skin has held up and whether or not there is lots of duress to my tissue expander.
