I got my official exchange date, 12/11. Wahoo, new foobs for Christmas!!!! I had what I thought was the last fill but when I got home I noticed the old rad side is smaller than the other one. Anyone have this happen and what did the PS do or didn't do. We did discuss sizes but once I got home and really looked at the difference, I will have another fill (exp on the old rad side) as I don't want to go thru this and be too small. Actually the fill on the non rad side was easy, even when I forgot to take my Valium before. The old rad side is really hurting. Waiting for the meds to take effect.0

Here is the thing also about bottoming out....the most obvious way to tell it has occurred is that the nipple appears too high....and until we have nipples....well, we are in oblivion for the most part. Maybe I don't want nipples. I can move these fake jobbers all over the place until they look right. Hmmmm.....

ROFLOL Angel.... GOOD ONE! You so need to come to Vegas next yr!
0 -
Yes Angel....the one on the left must have bottomed out. Look how much higher the nipple ....I mean olive...is on that one!

Deborah, yes, I did notice that. The nipple does not move.... but implant under it does. So many do not have nipples.. so it is hard to tell. ??

Deborah -- as a dog owner and lover I have to say I laughed OUT LOUD at the sock being tossed and the dog taking it for a toy. Thanks for that
Cheers,

Hey Laura, can you just sign my name along with yours on your posts? Cuz you say just what I want to say!

Lilah...Oooh...I am a dog lover also! But everything is a toy to Jack. After my shower yesterday, I looked everywhere for my abdominal binder [I just had lipo for fat grafting to the breasts.] and I was frantic....then I spied it out in the backyard....

I have been away, so I was away from this thread for some time and not only are there pages and pages to catch up on, but you guys are just hysterical!! What a wondeful, spirited group of women!! I love that visual from Deborah and the dog chasing the sock in the morning...I went to my PS here in Montreal, he said he bandages me tight after the exchange and then there is no need for a bra. He said a comfotable sports bra if I would like, but he feels that if they are gonna move, they're gonna do it bra or no bra. Interesting.

kerkle - Welcome back! There are three of you from Montreal here on EC.....you should all have a mini reunion...0
-
Deborah,
What sports bra do you wear? I think you and I are close to the same size....I have 600cc and was 33 1/2 ribcage. The Champion XL zip front sports bra is too tight! I am not comfortable in it! And while the socked up cleavage doesn't sound all that pretty...it sure beats the surgical vest I gravitate to at night! Thanks and bless you!

Shoshi... Honey.. I just do not know. I can tell you... my implant dropped and I was filled to 450cc... silicone.... others I know.. that this happened to.. were fill to about the same.. maybe up to 550cc.... who knows. My PS said it was due to thin skin... and I will be this first to say.. My breast skin... rad side and non rads side... feels... normal. it just does not feel thin to me. BUT... PS says it is....

Good evening everyone,
Just a thought....can one's TE start deflating??? Maybe it's my imagination but I feel like my MX breast is getting more softer..skin feels looser??? Hmm....or is it that the skin is softening...after all my last expansion was 3 weeks ago. My skin does not feel or look so tight and stretched out like before. Is this normal?? I am scheduled to go in in 2 more weeks for a f/u check with my PS. I still do not have an exchange date set yet. I am suppose to have a breast lift on my healthy breast first. I can't complain much because I've been feeling pretty good but I have noticed my MX feels a little "squishly" if I may say.

Hello Laura-and all the ladies- I am guilty of lurking! I try to keep up with what is going on. There is so much to read and learn on these boards! I am getting my new boobies tomorrow, good bye turtle shell t/e!! I am going to change the subject for a minute, but a lady from my rads group "April Rads Anyone" is not doing well. Bettelou68 is as sweet as they come. Please say a prayer for this wonderful and caring lady. Her husband is trying to have her receive 1000 cards by Thanksgiving. If I was computer savy (I am so not) I would post a link. Bette is on caringbridge and the link is in her profile. Thanks!

Kjbell -- Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. And so sorry to hear about Bettelou68. Sending healing vibes. Hugs!

Aw Laura TY for the welcome! Now I feel like a true Ta Ta Sister Glad you are on the mend... so much to go through but in the end you will be so happy with your results and it sounds like the eyes are on the mend, too, and how cool is that?!
Deborah -- that is TOO FUNNY about the abdominal binder in the yard (another BIG LOL) -- I love your dog. Did you ever see that movie a few years ago -- animated -- with a dog who only said "PLAY" every time he saw the main characters? The dog was a giant rotweiler (main characters were a squirrel and some other woodland creatures trying to navigate a suburban neighborhood) -- sorry don't remember the name of the movie atm (chemo brain!).... but I loved that. That IS Dog. The eyes light up and say "play" at the drop of a hat. You cannot be sad with a dog.
Had my last Taxol today (so the official end of "chemo") and now Herceptin until next summer and surgery Dec 9 (and no doubt continuing til next summer what with TE's, exchange and then lift/reduction... ) I hope it will not be too difficult. Tonight I am wide awake from the steroids (always can't sleep the night of chemo) but looking forward to getting through the next week or so's SEs (from the Taxol) and then a MARTINI!!!!! I haven't had any drinks since this started August 3. I have been SO good... and I am going to SO tie one on at Thanksgiving
Cheers,
Lilah

Val61: You're a Jazzercise instructor? I live and breath Jazzercise and have for over ten years. I did teach a while back but found I am a better student than teacher. I really think Jazzercise helped me through a lot w/my surgeries and expansions both physically and mentally. My little ones don't wear me out because they are my grand-babies but thanks for the compliment.
Jazzygem: You too? Jazzercise is a cult isn't it?
Whippetmom: How long do you have to wear the binders? I'm not 100% sure I want to have that procedure but my PS is leaning toward it.
Ladies: Should I be nervous about the bra thing and my PS not requiring me to wear one? What type do you wear?

Deborah - I'm trying to not wake the rest of the family - thank you, tamoxifen! - but I'm just laughing too hard......
Jazzy - that's so cool that you were an instructor, too! I had been wondering about that ever since I saw your name actually...... I've been an instructor for 12 years now.....
Hugs and happy healing to our surgery sisters today: kjbell and judy 56 - and tomorrow volleygirl - and thrusday o2bhealthy! Good luck!!

Nae, I thought my TE has sprung a leak too. My breast was getting squishy. I made an appt. with PS and he said there was no leak. Just the muscle was softening up and settingling in. Keep an eye on the TEs and if it looks like there is really a size difference go see your PS coz TEs can leak. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry. Enjoy the somewhat softer feel.

Thanks ladies! I know where I need to go for a smile!
I am one of the ones who bottomed out. I think I went too big for my skin or something. I am still trying to decide if I want another lift or not.
I, too, am trying to sleep on my back now. I noticed that after my exchange, I had to sleep on my back, and those chest wrinkles went away! It really didn't even take a long time. I didn't know anyone else noticed that, but I am sun damaged anyway, so it was noticeable to me.
BetteLou is one of my Aug 08 chemo sisters, it has been a long hard fight for her(IBC), and I know she appreciates all prayers for her.
Good luck to all the exchanges this week!
Hugs to everyone,
Deen
