Thanks Guys!!! and Rowen - ok a disclaimer. I have 3 weeks of meals PLANNED but it IS grilling season so....marinated meat and chicken, burgers, stuff like that...plus spaghetti sauce, some chili and my favorite soup. So DH doesnt have to do more than BBQ some of the meat or boil pasta. The kids can make the salads! But I did make a calendar with the meals planned out for him....and I DID allow for a take out night each week too.
My kids werent thrilled with meal delivery last time.0 -
Kate33, thanks for the advice. I think I will insist on FG. Is there anywhere I can look to see how much fat is needed, or maybe somebody can answer? Do they take a teaspoon from various areas of the body?
Suebeebc, thinking happy thoughts for you - you will so happy once you get exchanged. Another wish for the boob fairy to be generous to you!0 -

slinky- I'm not sure about the amount of fat. During my revision he took out my 375 cc implants and put in 225 cc. He grafted fat from my stomach, hips and thighs. However much he took I am now about the same bra size I was before. I see a little difference on my stomach (it's flatter) but not much difference on my hips and thighs. I never did ask him how much fat he used but it's a good question. I'll have to ask him!
beacher- I hate the whole "no eating before surgery" thing! They used to say 8 hours before surgery but now they just seem to say nothing after midnight. I asked someone about this once and they said patients were getting too confused on when to stop eating. Really? They can't subtract 8 hours? (sigh!) Anyway, wishing you a very easy Yipee Squishee journey as well!!!!

Suebee and Beacher, best wishes for tomorrow!!!!!!!!!
Re ripples, I had some after exchange and have had two rounds of fat grafting which have helped. The ripples only were visible naked w/o a bra if I leaned forward with shoulders hunched. I was the one on the pix forum that Whippetmom said "Stop hunching over, we all have ripples if we hunch over." She was teasing but had a good point as usual. It's been about 6 weeks since fat grafting #2 and I see only a mild hint of a ripple if I really look for it which I seldom do now. I hope the fat doesn't fade away, but this is always a possibility. The other downside just so you ladies know is that you can get "lumps" from the fat if it collects in one spot. I have two now and it's a little unnerving with a bc history. But I am used to them, they don't seem to be changing. So to summarize I am glad I had the fat grafting, I do think it helped with ripples, but it extended my time in the recon stage to about 18 months. Now, I am so happy to be DONE!

SueBee and beacher..... oh, so excited for you! Good luck! SueBee... really, 3 weeks of meals all planned out??? OMG! I have my exchange this Wednesday so I am just planning to make a quick trip to the grocery store on Tuesday to restock my fresh fruits and veggies, etc. Well, we don't have any kids at home anymore so I guess that makes it alot easier.

Beacher & SueBee: Good luck and yippee squishees for you!!!
Slinky: Deekaay & I had the same type of regular fat grafting and Kate had micro fatgrafting. Micro is supposed to last longer. I am in agreement with Kate-I barely notice a bit of difference in my belly but they are going to take some more and hopefully that's it. With reg FG you can get temp lumps-mine went away after 2 months. It really helps a Uni look more natural.

Happy E-Day to Suebee & Beacher!!!

Paging all fat-graters: More info please!
Do they put you out? How long does it take? Is micro-fat grafting superior to regular fat grafting?
Does it matter where the fat comes from or "fat is fat" and it's all good? Tks!
EDITED: That would be fat GRAFTERS not graters!!

HI...tried to post an hour or so ago but I dont know what happened...and then I fell asleep!
I've been home for 2 hours. The only problem was that they gave me too much anesthesia so I had trouble coming out of it. Im still SO super groggy.
PS was so happy with how it went. He said he was able to get really great symmetry and said I would be very pleased. THats all I remember that he said. I see him in 2 weeks. A few minutes ago I poked at my MX side and was so happy that its soft! Too soon to tell much else. I can shower tomorrow if I want. Im taking it hour by hour right now because of the meds.....I just dont want to move.
Thanks to everyone for the good vibes and prayers....they are working!!!!! Cant wait to hear from Beacher!
