Hi folks, someone asked how to make a hyperlink. This is the way my windows on an hp works:

    1. Point cursor at URL/web address

    2. Left click til it turns blue----index finger working side

3 Then hit clrl-c, then I move cursor away and hit till it turns white

    4. Move to place you want to leave link. I usually make it the line below where I have ended typing.

    like here

    5. Hit clrl-v---it'll print the URL/web address.

6.This is the key that will make it hyperlink>>>put the cursor/ flashing bar at the end of the URL/web address, and hit enter. That should cause link to turn it blue. That enter is the KEY. if you don't do that, you have a url but it won't link/work.

"AH hah Watson I think I have done it"

I'm going to repost this a couple of places and see if it helps others. If you have a different system this may not work Let me know. Good Luck. Sassy

Hi Ladies, while we are  talking a little technology, anyone know anything about copiers? We have a brother , though its alco a scanner and fax, never programmed it for that , or hooked it up to the computer or fhone, just use the copy function. Was copying yesterday, needed to  increase the number of copies, next thing I knew it was in fax mode. Can't get it out, no matter if I hit , exit, menu, turn it off and on again, just stays in fax mode and adds another #3 to the fax #! Have tried every button on it, still fax! HELP.

Supposed to get a lot of rain tonight and tomorrow, flood alerts out here, then warm up to the 50s, the rest of the week.

Went to the mall for lunch with  my galfriend . Got the 4 seasons  hits CD, We saw the Jersey Boys while we were in Vegas visiting DS. I really enjoyed it and love the music.

I'm not due for another mammo til JUne I think, so  it's a year for me.

    HI folks popping in :)

Been thinking------always sumpin eh? Thinking of a sister that still reads, but doesn't post much b/c she's too weak. She's in the stage 4 group, but we had worked on one of the threads together along time ago.One of those exciting threads like constipation, but it wasn't that one. I don't want to invade her privacy, so, I won't use her name.

Then I started thinking of the Warm & Fuzzy Owls Kitties and Funny Stuff thread.

At first, it was simply a place to keep things that made us happy that we didn't want to loose over time as the pages turn.

Now maybe something different. When our minds are so heavy, reading complex things can be a chore. But what we are posting on W&F's thread is light , fluffy, easy. They can cheer without having to work at the thought too much. Without having to try to keep track of too many words.

So, when you post something here or on one of your other threads, that's a picture, saying that we all get as BC 'ers. Please, post it there too. Keep it simple i.e. few words.

There are several serenity type threads like Foley's pictorial venues. I'm sure there are more that I'm not aware of.

If anyone thinks this has value, we could ask the others to do transporter links in the topic boxes that would make it even easier for those that need it.

Link to warm and fuzzy owls, kitten, dogs, goats, and other things thread.

Hope, I'm making sense :) sassy

Yay, Chevy!!!  Passing your mammogram is a big deal!

Jean, glad you're having a great baseball getaway in FL.

Bonnets, I can't help you.  Sorry.

Cami, I hope you're feeling better.

Rita, the few people I know who've done Curves have liked it.  DH and I are members at the local YMCA, which offers different classes.  A couple of the ones I would like to try conflict with my Wed. and Fri. golf and golf wins out.  I try to work out on Tues. and Thurs. morning with DH but really need to go a 3rd day, which would have to be Sat. or Sun.

My goal for this coming week is to get the living room painted.  The cans of paint have been just sitting there, doing nothing on their own!

    Hugs all around.

I am still confused about the mammo's.  If you had cancer in left breast and none in right is the mammo called something different when they do both?  Or is it all diagnostic once you have had cancer in either breast?  On another thread, one gal's hospital did not get pre-approal so she had to decide suddenly to go ahead or not at her radiation follow-up which was 9 months from the last one.  She got billed and is not appealing with a letter from her RO. I'll call the RO nurse this week and the hospital to see if I can get more information.

They order a screening mammo for my uninvolved side. I had a mx on the other side, so don't need one there. My guess is that it may be up to the doctor to decide when the order goes in. I have a co-pay if it's diagnostic.

A woman once told me that she did not feel the need to reach out to those around her because she prayed every day.  Surely, this was enough.  But a prayer is about our relationship to God; a blessing is about our relationship to the spark of God in one another.  God may not need our attention as badly as the person next to us on the bus or behind us in line in the supermarket.  Everyone in the world matters, and so do their blessings.  When we bless others, we offer them refuge from an indifferent world.

Ah, great sun outside....after a couple of days of mainly gray which came along not so much with cold temps. as with a wind that made it seem a lot cooler than it was.  Life is wonderful - there is sun.

I can't relate well to the insurance/diagnostic, or screening issues as I go to the V.A. for all of that.  I do note ( not sure what they call it -- I'm thinking screening ) that I cannot go one day sooner then I went the year before.   Since I had to put one off for a bit  one year.....rather then in Sept/Oct.....I now end up in December.  I knock on wood every time I go.  It is just a part of this disease and I learned to just grit my teeth and get through the waiting.  Of course, as noted by someone else --- in my category, I have to wait for info to come through the mail as to the results.  Someone does "look" at the picture enough to determine whether it shows what they actually want to see I guess since they make me wait to leave.   Last time I just waited in the room where the picture was taken with the tech. gal.  Glad when she told me I could leave.  No more "views" made me feel a bit positive.

Hope you are all going to have a day with sunshine.  Winter be gone is what I say.

    Blessings

    Jackie

    Bonnets,

Have you tried unplugging the copier, waiting for a bit, and then replugging it?  Hopefully it will return to it's preset mode.  Also you can go online and go to the manufacturer's website for help.

Chevy, glad your mammo was fine

Jean, glad you're having a great time in Florida.

Bonnets, I had mammograms every six months after my lumpectomy until this past year and then they are yearly again. The doctor ordered them and insurance never gave us a problem but I was not on medicare supplements just had to deal with insurance.

Cami, I hope you're feeling better.

DS, DIL and GD just dropped by for a visit. They brought over a bouncer and infant car seat for our house for when the new baby comes.  Someone gave them to her and she had doubles. We thought we were done with that age  and gave all our baby stuff away two weeks before they found out she was pregnant but  now we will be starting over. It was a nice surprise for everyone that they were expecting since they had tried for so long and went through fertility stuff and ended up adopting a beautiful little girl four years ago.

The weather is warm with just a little breeze today. We have been waiting for a day like this for a  long time. Spring is on the waySmile

I should go out and clean up the yard after the dog but it is still so muddy out. Maybe I will wait another day if the weather stays like this. Today is for trying some new crafts.

    Have a great day ladies!

Termite, isn't it amazing that women who've been unable to get pregnant do get pregnant often times after they've adopted?  DH has a niece who finally resorted to invitro fertilization because she couldn't get pregnant the normal way.  She gave birth to twins, a girl and a boy.  After that she did get pregnant and had a girl.  Got pregnant again and had another girl!

She's a great mother and her husband is a great dad.  They're one of those couples who've taken parenting as their fulltime job along with their other jobs.  It's so nice to see.

Today was lovely here.  Sunny with a comfortable temperature.  The whole world is green, green, green with flowers blooming.  It's definitely spring.  Hope the season lasts a while and we don't jump into summer.  April is usually a nice month.

YEA Chevy on the good mammo. That's the kind of news we like to hear!!!

I can't believe that  I actually played 9 holes of golf today. The temps were cool but not chilling and the grass was brown and ugly but we were out there hitting that ball.  I was leery at first about my back but I seemed to do o.k.

Termite...congrats on your baby news!  How wonderful!

I start my exercise class tomorrow morning at the YMCA.  I'm a little nervous because it's been quite some time since I've done an organized exercise class and I just hope that I can keep up.  I might have some laughs for us tomorrow!  :-)

I hope that some of you shared the good weather today and had a chance to get out and enjoy it.

Off to ww meeting this morning.  Then back home to start painting the living room.  Will report in later.

Hope everyone is pain free on this Mon. morning.

Termite, what new crafts are you trying?

Carole, I too am hoping spring does not jump into summer too fast.

Ritajean, glad your back held up for golf and hope your exercise class goes well.

My cold is gone except for a cough causing post nasal drip that is annoying me.  I am grateful that the cold is gone, so I shouldn't complain.  I saw my kids and grandkids this weekend, so I am caught up with their lives.  I feel lazily content this morning ... and I feel blessed.  Happy Monday and good wishes to all.

Our  basement system sump -pump gave out. Had to replace it. Can't believe the amount of water that poured into the chamber when the pump kicked in. Guess we were blessed we didn't get much water in. DH noticed it wasn't working pretty quick, I guess. The back up battery system is on order. That's the biggest expense. Glad it quit raining. Beautiful out now.

Sally, I live with the post nasal  eternally. Found allergy  pills help some. Sure get tired of  it

Op went well and today when I saw the PS I was astounded by how good I look and we're not done. Will write to share details tomorrow when I have more energy. I think I now understand inner peace and the transformation that leads to inner peace.  From my perspective it seems that it involves being willing to give up life as we normally perceive it and view life only as a moment by moment occurrence of opportunities to give love.  In the giving of love, there is also the receiving of love, and this cycle grows endlessly and without bounds.    Neal Sutherland

Global....glad that things are looking good and that your mainly just lacking some rest.  If you sleep as good as I do that will soon be taken care of really well.

I took Dh to Marion V.A.  ( is always an all day affair ) to have his G.I. tract scoped and his esophagus stretched....ok, proper word is dilated.  We made a flying trip there as several things to take care of here before leaving.  Stopped at Steak & Shake for some late lunch.  Oh.....I'm in love with the Garlic Burger and will stay that way for a long time I'm sure.  We don't go to the restaurant very often, but always stop if we go to Marion for anything.

I'll get back on my walking program tomorrow.  Will likely use the track all week or close to it.  I've picked up a pound and a half somewhere.  Guess that is my cue to stop buying ice cream.

Rita....I'm green with envy....I have yet to start my exercising.  Soon, I hope to get it in and leave it in once I do.   We have Curves and Zumba and Yoga all here but I just haven't made time to do more than walk which seems easiest ( time wise ) for me.  I usually go right after feeding kitties or working since I'm already in town where the Rec Center is close at hand.

Nice warm day but I think maybe some rain tonight.

Hope you all had a good day.  Big hugs to Cam.  Feel better soon.

    Blessings

Jackie, hope your husband's treatment does not cause him any more discomfort.  I am getting back to walking after a 3 week break and am, as usual, surprised how much zip I lose in just 3 weeks.

Well I did it gals!  I survived the first exercise class and felt so energetic when it was done.  Tomorrow I'm going to the yoga class and then back to exercise on Wednesday.  The leader really gave us a good workout...a bit of aerobics, the stretchy band, using the ball, and weights.  I only used 2 pound weights because I was afraid to go any heavier on my surgery side.  Anyway, I must admit that I felt pretty uncoordinated at times and it didn't take me long to see that my left side was much weaker than my right side.  This might just be a good match for me, but once golf starts, I won't go on Wednesdays.

The hardest thing about the class was finding a place to sit.  There were about 30 chairs positioned around the room when I got there and I had gone early.  I put my purse down by one of them and a lady came over and told me that spot was already claimed. She then proceeded to show me how I could tell if it was a "safe" place to sit and to help me get the ball, band, and weights that I needed.  I was very appreciative of her help but we laughed during dinner about how I couldn't even pass "seat finding."  Actually we only sat when doing some of the leg stretches.

We are expecting rain tonight also, Jackie, but I sure enjoyed the warmer day.  I got out and picked up more sticks in the yard.  My daffodils are poking out of the ground so maybe that's a sign that spring is here to stay!

Carole, how is the painting project going?  I wish I was closer because I'd help you paint!  I need to strip down my kitchen cabinets and paint them.  I have to host my Bunco group in two weeks so I guess I'll wait until that's done before I dig in and tackle that project.  I don't want them coming with only part of the painting done.

Well, I'm heading for a comfy spot with my youngest cat and a good book.  The older cat is already stretched out on the bed.

    Everyone have a good Tuesday.

Carolehalst..yes, it is strange how after trying for so long that nature finally kicks in and people are abel to finally get pregnant especially when they have given up trying and we always said once they adopted they would get pregnant. (it only took 4 years after adopting but we are all thrilled) Yes, It is nice to see couples that really enjoy having the children and spending time with them.   DH and I are hoping to visit New Orleans sometime this year. Do you have  any suggestions for places to see or things to do?  How is the painting going?

Sally70.. I am trying to make hair bows for the GD's hair to put in their Easter baskets. I am also trying to learn how to make the stretchy crocheted hats for them. I just finished crocheting a towel top for one of my sisters. I use to do lots of crafts but stopped when we were running with all the boys sports and working. Now  I am getting back in the mood to try some new ones.  I use to make hanging brooms, decupage(sp) pictures and photo albums with the schools logos on them and I would go to the craft shows to sell items with a neighbor.

Ritajean... glad your back held up and congratulations for surviving your first exercise class.

Global...hope you are feeling better and more rested soon

today was beautiful here (a little windy) but warm...we were able to get the kids outside at school today "yay"    we  will have rain tonight and tomorrow colder weather.

Hope everyone has a great week

We all have such a marvelous opportunity in this life to evolve, grow, and move more and more toward becoming all we can be.  At the end of our lives, who we are and what that has contributed to the process of healing the planet will probably be much more important than anything we have produced or done for money, fame, or power.  We are a piece of the puzzle of the universe.  Taking our place as the fullest piece we can be will probably be our most precious contribution.     Anne Wilson Schaef
