    Just a quick stop in.

Yesterday was Dd's shower at her work. Delicious food and wonderful people who gave so much! DD will not have to buy anything for a long time.

Walked yesterday. Today dh and I started cleaning out the garage for winter. It's not complete yet but I'm so happy he came to help me since most of it is his stuff. He started a collection of things to get rid of so… my free yard sale is now open in the front yard. Hopefully we can finish cleaning it out tomorrow and add more items to it.

I'm filthy and tired but still have a few things to do in the house. A woman's work is never done!

I did 2 hours of yard work today - a little raking, pulling weeds, trimming, etc.

This is the first year we did not rake the yard. We decided to have the person who mowed for us this summer to mow and mulch the leaves back into the ground. He finished in no time. Last year dh couldn't rack help bc of his back. I raked and hauled leaves to the curb from the backyard for several days so there would not be so much at each raking.

This is a picture from last year. The leaves were up to my knees.

This is what I raked today. He missed a small area so I raked it. I have a feeling we will be asking him to do it again next year!

    That's a lot of leaves!

LIFT in the morning. This afternoon we took a dog walk & I booked what sounds like a very fun trip to Niagara Falls for June (DH has never been there & I was there many decades ago!). I went to Core this evening.

We have no trees on our property, but lots of leaves. Not as many as Wonderland, though. DH usually mows over them but decided to leave them on the ground this year. We’ll see in the spring how that worked out.

Gardened on Sat (half-price bulbs!), went to MIL’s Sun for family dinner, and gym time Mon, Tues & Weds. Training appt with coach today.

HIT this morning, and a very fun '80s Dance Party at Dance2fit (it was also a Food Drive for the Salvation Army).

Had a productive day. Went grocery shopping, hit the fifty cent book sale at the library, got in a gym workout, made meatballs for supper, and baked cranberry-orange muffins for family dinner tomorrow.

Ruth: Cute picture! "I want to dance with somebody…🎶"

TT: WTG going to the gym for 2 consecutive days.

    Badger: I love cranberry-orange muffins.

Yesterday I visited my granddaughter. She is such a happy child! I gave her a soft robe for her birthday last month. When she first saw me in the house, she went to the robe and brought it back to me. She held out her arm bc she wanted me to put it on her. My heart melted. She's only 1 but of course I think she's a genius. Ds, gd, and I strolled around town and ate lunch. Lots of people were in town bc the Carolina/Duke football game was a home game.

Today dh and I helped served lunch at a church that provides a free lunch every Sunday. Our job was to pack the desserts. 191 people were served today. Later we went for a walk. It's been almost a year since dh had his back surgery. Today he made the comment that he walks without having to think about different movements. We don't walk side-by-side bc we both go at different paces. This time last year he was setting his alarm to let him know he could take his next pain pills. I'm so happy for his improvement!

Sounds like a wonderful day, Wonderland! And, I'm so glad DH's back is so much better!

We are in a Winter Storm Watch starting tomorrow night, so I better get all my errands done in the morning & early afternoon.…and find the shovels and ice scrapers!

Zumba, walk & HIT. No snow falling here so far. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

We’re expecting high winds and snow flurries tomorrow. The big snow comes this weekend. Travel should be okay for family Thanksgiving meal Thursday.

Gym yesterday but not today. Worked until 3 then ran errands. Will get there tomorrow.

We got 5 inches of snow, wind & the roads are a mess. Shoveled twice, and went to LIFT and Zumba.

No snow here! 5 inches would stop everything here. Yesterday and today have been in the mid 60s.

Yesterday dh and I covered the garden boxes for the winter to help stop weeds from growing. Today we went to the grocery store to shop for Thanksgiving. Years ago before I was married I made the mistake of shopping the day before. I vowed right then and there to never do that again. Thursday is dh's birthday. We are actually not having Thanksgiving until Friday with my side of the family.

Currently I'm sitting with one of my cats and watching Dancing With the Stars. It's been fabulous this year and I'm not sure who will win. We got both of our cats at the animal shelter in 2018. This cat has a clipped ear which means she had been part of the Trap-Neuter-Release program. She must have been a feral kitty when she was trapped. It's so hard to believe bc she's the sweetest thing and loves to cuddle with me.

Just watched Jordan and Ezra perform their free dance. My jaw dropped. Think she may win.

Happy Thanksgiving eve everyone. Grateful for all of you!

Tai Chi today for me, but best of all that makes 4 days in a row at the gym, Sun-Wed! Renewed my gym membership this week with an early black friday special for an annual membership…which actually extends my membership a year beyond its current expiration of March 2026…so now I am good until March 2027, No Excuses!!!

No snow here, but we are going to have a 20 degree drop in temp today to tomorrow.

    Stay safe everyone, TT

Wonderland, I watched the DWS's finale too. Some amazing dancing! Robert has such a sweet personality, so I was happy he won. I was also very impressed by Dylan.

Good job getting to the gym & renewing your gym membership, TT!

Here's the Wednesday Walking Women. It's cold and extremely icy here. Our schools started 2 hours late & further east many schools canceled the day. We have really crashed right into winter!

Enjoy Thanksgiving & all the treats! I am thankful for you all!!

"Thanksgiving is really a holiday that allows us all, if only for a day, to stop what we're doing and consider the wonderful people in our lives and the opportunities we have, and have had."

I am thankful for you wonderful people!

TT: WTG on getting a fantastic deal on your gym membership!

Ruth: Your WWW picture looks cold. All the coffee cups!

I've been cooking today bc tomorrow is my side of the family Thanksgiving. Dh and I have had a quiet day for his birthday. He grilled chicken thighs which were delicious and I made mashed potatoes and green bean casserole.

Extremely thankful for all of you in my life. ❤️❤️❤️

Happy day after Thanksgiving! We had a great day with family, food, and football.

TT WTG getting to the gym and renewing your membership. I love a good deal!

Wonderland, I don’t shop the day before or after Thanksgiving. Too many ppl in a hurry. I would love to get a cat but DH despises them.

Ruth, good for WWW to get out despite the weather. Our forecast is for up to a foot of snow Friday PM thru Sunday AM. Hit the gym this afternoon then the grocery store for eggs & milk. No travel for the next few days.

Happy day after Thanksgiving…I don't go to stores to shop, but have exercised my hands buying items pre-Thanksgiving via the internet.

Got to the gym at lunchtime, so that makes 5 this week.

The cold has settled into SE Virginia…with temps dropping to only the high 20's…given it was 70 degrees less than 2 days ago, the difference is shocking. TT

It is shockingly cold here too. It was 60 last Monday, 5 inches of snow Tuesday, and it's 16 degrees right now! Since they didn't get the streets cleaned off, we are walking and driving on glare ice. The fun has begun…..

We are having our Thanksgiving with DS & DIL tomorrow as they were with her family for Thanksgiving Day (about 90 minutes away from here). We didn't have a quiet, lonely day though as we babysat their 4 dogs!!!

As far as exercise goes, the local college has shoveled off their sidewalks; so we've taken 2 walks there & I went to a HIT class this morning. The only shopping I've done today was to pick up a few grocery items I need for tomorrow & to order 2 books online.

Stay warm, and remember to take lots of breaks if you are shoveling snow!

Shovel & Sculpt round 1 done. Six inches so far. Still snowing!

Badger: Stay safe! Hope you don't get 12 inches of snow.

Ruth: I'm sure you enjoyed your Thanksgiving today with ds, dil and dogs!

TT: It's hard to go from the 70's to the 20's. Although, the high today was in the 40's and it was delightful outside.

I walked today with gloves and toboggan on. Such a beautiful day. Later I pulled out my Christmas decorations and finished putting out the outside lights. Tomorrow I'll start decorating the house but first a heavy dusting is a must. My plan (if I can stick with it) is to get rid of old decorations I have saved throughout the years but don't use. Wish me luck bc most of them are the sentimental ones!

We did have a fun day with the kids and dogs (who were surprisingly well behaved.....they get along great but can get a little wild). Lots of food, good conversation, and we played some games.

Our outdoor decorations were pu up before the snow. Today I'll work on the inside ones & go to yoga.
