Tessa: I was shocked myself.  But I did okay with it. I did feel better knowing I had some foobs there and wasn't flat chested. Being a larger person and originally large breasted I guess I had a lot of room there for it. I did have some discomfort with the pec muscles rebelling but that was to be expected. I wasn't in a lot of pain from them.  I had no bandages and was able to see all my results right away.

OMG I was trying to get my naked BEFORE pic to post over in the pic forum but it ACCIDENTALLY POSTED TO MY FACEBOOK STATUS!

BAhahahahah!    WHOOPS!     Leave it to me.

It's not my fault :p   Trying to get a pic from my phone to windows 8 then to the proper pic forum is not easy.  LOL

Everva!  Hi honey.   Ugh, I'm so sick of being in pain and being dizzy and carrying all these tubes and bags around, but it's so much better than suffering through breast cancer.   My surgery was on Tuesday and I've used those hospital bath wipes but I'm dying for a real shower and shampoo.  I don't think I can take these epidural bags in the shower though.

Did you see my after pic?   They're FLAT, and that's with 300ccs.  What the foob?  He was thinking up to 500 which is only 200 more.

My BigMac has a bigger bun than that!

Chinneymae I'm glad u didn't have a lot of pain from it.  I hope mine lets up soon.  I walk around but get to dizzy and nauseous.  If I had more food in me I'd upchuck but I don't think there's enough there.

How big is your ps going to go?

hello ladies! It went well yesterday, just a long day. Surgery at 115
right one time(they pushed me back the night before). Different anesth
guy than before, but he seemed ok. Came out of it easier I think than
before-- but I also have a scratchy throat after. I asked him about the
behind the ear nausea patch and he got me one right away. It probably
    helped.

I asked my ps before hand about evening them/lifting one
to match other side, how close theyd be together etc. He said he would
do the right, which is a little higher to match left. I had thought left
a bit too low, so I was surprised. I also have more fat on left side-
he said in a few months to do some lipo there. I was surprised to hear
that. He put in natrelle 410s, 420/375. Right side needs more as it was
emptier than left. He did cut the pec muscle again to get them in. The
incisions are underneath again, not on top like bmx.

    Have the
tube wrap on, go see him Tues for removal. Where they are under the wrap
looks low to me, but of course theyre squished down. He also did some
work on one part of my previous under boob scar that hadnt healed as
well as rest of them. The right hurts more than left, especially in that
area. But I actually feel pretty good. Took norco all night, Im
thinking to try and do Tylenol today and see how it goes. Save norco for
nite to help sleeping also. And no drains!

Thanks for everyone huge support, Ill keep you all posted.

Tessa, I had my exchange in August. I have the Allergan 45 800cc high profile silicone round implants. I am very pleased with my outcome.  One side has dropped and fluffed already and I'm waiting on the other one to do the same. I go back in April and if it hasn't dropped he is going to go in and move it down and do some nip and tuck to make them look symmetrical. He said this would be an office procedure. Once I'm done with that, I can have my tittoos done and I will be finished. Not having the TEs feels so good!!!

Sure hope the pic didn't stay on your FB page too long Tessa!  LMAO  Sorry, sounds like some thing I might do by accident too.

    Tessa,

I wouldn't worry too much about the size yet. Right after my BMX my chest looked sunken in where my breast previously were. There must have been a lot of swelling around my torso because after about a week or so, I had mounds where the TE's were. (They were not pre-filled so small, painful mounds, but still something.)

I was very nauseated for a few days following too. Your surgeon can prescribe anti-nausea pills if they haven't already done it.

PS. Your FB story cracked me up! Careful with social media posting if you are still on narcotic drugs and sleep deprived. lol

nwgirl:  Your TEs might be spaced widely on the chest wall, which is why they are under your armpits.  But yes, as I state in my thread header, body habitus has a lot to do with the appearance of TEs and/or implants.  You can always email me photos.  PM me if you want my email address.  So implants in the moderate plus profile might be fine for you.

    @Tessa

I was given these plastic window like bandages to put over my incisions so I could shower. (If you see your PS soon ask him/her for some) It was okay to take the drains in... I only had 1 then so it was easier.  I couldn't raise my arms up to wash my hair at first so my husband washed it for me in the kitchen sink. <3 him!

Tessa:  800 ccs on a 29 inch ribcage and a 125 lb gal will be quite large.  So I am not sure where her PS is going with this.

I think Tessa was referring to me...I am NOT getting 800 cc's! Yikes! We are aiming for 500 cc's or so but  of course that will depend on how I do as I go through surgery/fills.

Galsal--I had my exchange from TE's to silicone implants in July 2013.  My exchange surgery was on a Friday, done as an outpatient, and I felt really good immediatley afterwards.  I went back to work the following Thursday (desk job) and only needed prescription pain meds for about 24 hours.  I don't believe the PS did any "pocket work" and I did not have drains at the exchange.  I see you had a DIEP first and then further reconstruction.  What is the situation with that?

Hi Whippetmom-I posted pics of before and with my TEs on the pic forum, can you take a look?  My biggest priority is to get rid of the ridge/shelf at the top of the implant (I want to look natural not stripper like).  PS will do fat grafting but mentioned that about 75% usually dissipates.  He can repeat the fat grafting again if necessary but that is more surgery.   He recs 410s but ordered about 7ish diff implants (410s (2 styles, mult sizes), smooth rounds (2 styles, mult sizes).  I can send you the dets but he thinks the 410s will be the best bet to get rid of the shelf; but will be less projection then what I have now.  He ordered so many and we will discuss more just prior to my surgery as to my wishes on priority of size/ projection, style desired, etc.  Please help with your 2 cents, very much appreciated!

Thanks, Lori.  Unfortunately, I did not get out of the operating room before failure of the Diep.  I do work a desk job and figured it would be an easy enough back to work time frame at the exchange, as you indicated.

    thanks again.

nwgirl - you should still be able to do Hawaii in March, assuming all goes well with your healing.  I took my TEs to St Maarten with me last March.  I was at 600cc in 600cc capacity TEs at the time.  After our return I over-expanded to 750cc by the end of april and exchanged to 750cc implants in August.  I found a couple of tankini swimsuits that worked well with the TEs and looked good too.  Hope it all works out for you!

Tessa - Your dizziness and nausea could easily be from you painkillers, are you maybe taking to often. I made sure I would write the time down that I took each dose as I was sleeping so much and loosing tract of time and couldn't remember when I took it. If not ask Dr for scopolopine patch you can keep it on for a few days

Thank you Whippetmom... I emailed you a photo. Can't wait until I have access to the photo section here so I can see people similar to my body size and what they ended up looking like. I'm not very good at visually what would look good on me.

Thank you SweetandSpecial for the reassurance on my trip. I am hoping everything is healed up enough to do some swimming too. I do like to sit out by the pool and started wondering how I am gonna tan my back if I still can't lay on my stomach. (Actually, I have't tried to yet or even know if you're supposed to!) Maybe another question to ask my PS.

MY ps didn't even discuss the TE size. Actually if I would ask that question I am sure he would get irritated.

Mine didnt discuss it either.  No ps should get irritated by anything you ask. If he does , think about moving on.

My PS is great and will answer my questions. The problem is knowing what questions to ask. This forum (and this thread) is definitely helping me with that!  Thank you everyone who contributes here-  it is so helpful!

nwgirl - I was in the pool and the Caribbean.  If you're healed up properly you shouldn't have any trouble playing in the water.  And while it wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world I did lay on my tummy in the sun some of the time.

can any of you explain about the differences between smooth and textured implants. I'm getting style 215 round textured silicone ones in February. I made the mistake of looking on the internet about them and now totally confused. PS said that saline can show ripples but the internet says the same about textured implants. So??  I'm not a good candidate for the gummies.  Any help would be very appreciated.

MCbeach: I have tried getting on the Pictures Forum tonight and the page will just not load.  I can tell you that the dimensions of the TEs must align with the dimensions of the implant.  Therefore, "multiple sizes" gives me reason for concern.  There would only be one or two implants which would correspond properly, and if the wrong size is used, you are going to be at risk for rotation of the implant sooner or later.

Smaarty  Textured implants tend to cause traction rippling.  Very few women have textured implants.  They work for some, but it is a select few that I know of, having been here for five years now.  I would advise against them.

I just reread Whippetmom's advice post exchange. Thank you. I need to stop looking in the mirror and thinking about how small I look. I was a 38f before bc and MX and had 850cc of fill. Of course with a large rib circumference it translates into a much smaller breast, hoping for a C but will probably be a B, I am thinking. Reduction was to match implant, all will be good in the end, I am sure.

I am grateful for this site and all the stories shared and advice given. Thank you Whippetmom, thank you all.

Will post pics in picture forum when bandages come off in two weeks...might be helpful for other uni's in similar situations...
