Yes, I have many fridge magnets from places we've been.

Do you like to try different foods when you are vacationing or not?

  • aussie-cat
    aussie-cat Member Posts: 5,502

Yes, I like to try new things so long as they don't cost too much.

Do you like to keep going to the same places or try new places?

  • oceanbum
    oceanbum Member Posts: 3,644

We usually go to the same places. But we do like to try new places, too. When we're on vacation or out of town we won't go to a chain restaurant or a restaurant we have in our town. That's our rule.

Do you go to chain restaurants or do you prefer small, family owned restaurants?

  • aussie-cat
    aussie-cat Member Posts: 5,502

It depends on what they have compared to other restaurants. We don't have a very good range in our area.

Do you have lots of good shops in your town?

    oceanbum Member Posts: 3,644

Yes, we do. But north of us in Columbus they have many more.

Are you getting sleepy or not? (I'm sure you are, Aussie. You should go to bed. I'm signing off now. It's time for me to go home!)

Bye Ocean. Have a good night!

Yes, I do feel sleepy. I'm trying to finish a long email that I send once a week. I hope I can go to bed soon.

Do you find it hard to get things done in good time or not?

  • oceanbum
    oceanbum Member Posts: 3,644

Sometimes. Today I did because I had 2 doctor's appointments in Columbus so I didn't get to work until after noon.

Do you find it hard to get caught back up when you get somewhere late or do you just go with the flow until you do?

  • aussie-cat

    Hi Ocean!!

It depends whether being late is really stressful or if it's expected and also how much work there is.

Do you generally work at a relaxed pace or do you rush to try to get things done?

    Hi Aussie!!

I work at a very relaxed pace!! Thankfully my work is ok with that!! There are times we are rushing to get things done but for the most part it's relaxed.

Do you live in an area where it's a fast pace or where it's more of a slow pace? (It's more of a slow pace here. But I was in the fast paced big city today for doctor's appointments.)

I would say that Melbourne has a fast pace because it's a capital city and even though I live in the suburbs, there's still a lot of traffic and busyness.

Did you ever want to live somewhere other than where you live?

Sometimes we talk about moving south to a warmer climate. But I do love my hometown. So it would be hard for me to leave.

Do you ever wonder what it would be like to live in other countries or not?

  • aussie-cat
    aussie-cat Member Posts: 5,502

Yes, I wonder that and lots of things. I'm a curious person. We get to learn a lot about other countries on this forum!

Are you a curious person or not?

  • oceanbum
    oceanbum Member Posts: 3,644

About some things, yes I am.

Do you research things you are curious about or just continue to wonder?

  • aussie-cat
    aussie-cat Member Posts: 5,502

I love to research things when I think of it and have a chance. That reminds me I was going to research something tonight, LOL!

Do you wonder how we ever got through school without being able to research things on the internet or not?

  • oceanbum
    oceanbum Member Posts: 3,644

My girls do!! They can't believe we had to look things up in BOOKS!! And in the library card catalog!!

Do you prefer the old way of looking things up in books or on the internet?

  • aussie-cat
    aussie-cat Member Posts: 5,502

I use books to look up some things but a lot of things I don't have books about.

Do you ever find spelling mistakes in books? I do.

Yes, especially the words that escape spell check, like your vs. you're.

Do you read reader's comments for news articles?

  • aussie-cat
    aussie-cat Member Posts: 5,502

    Not usually.

Do you get information overload because we read and hear so much these days?

  • oceanbum
    oceanbum Member Posts: 3,644

    Yes!!!

Do you like proofreading for mistakes or would you rather just let it go?

  • aussie-cat
    aussie-cat Member Posts: 5,502

    Hi Ocean!!

    I can't help proofreading things!

Did you have a good day today or not?

  • oceanbum
    oceanbum Member Posts: 3,644

Yes. Though it's been a very stressful, busy day!!

Are you having good or bad weather today? (It's been raining here all day.)

  • aussie-cat
    aussie-cat Member Posts: 5,502

It was cold and windy today but I don't think it rained.

Is your weather typical for this time of year or not?

  • MissBianca
    MissBianca Member Posts: 1,291

Yes, Florida weather is hot and humid with thunderstorms in the summer. (Winter is dry and gorgeous.)

Do you avoid going out in the rain or not?

  • aussie-cat
    aussie-cat Member Posts: 5,502

I avoid walking to the shops in the rain but I sometimes go out in the car.

Do you get enough rain where you live or do the gardens end up dry?

  • MissBianca
    MissBianca Member Posts: 1,291

The climate is tropical, with basically a wet season and a dry season, but everything seems to maintain greenery where I live. The dry season comes with cooler weather.

Do you see wildlife where you live?

  • aussie-cat
    aussie-cat Member Posts: 5,502

Yes, because we live at the northern end of the suburbs, we sometimes see kangaroos in fields. It's so lovely!

Do you live in a big city or in a more country area?

  • oceanbum
    oceanbum Member Posts: 3,644

    Hi Aussie!!

    It's more country here!!

Do like to drive to the big city or drive through the country?

  • aussie-cat
    aussie-cat Member Posts: 5,502

I don't like to drive myself but I like being driven through the country better than the city.

Do you drive a manual or automatic car?

  • oceanbum
    oceanbum Member Posts: 3,644

My van is an automatic. (I don't know how to drive a manual.)

Is your vehicle a car, an SUV, a van or a truck?

I have a small white Peugeot hatchback.

Did you find it easy to get your drivers' licence or not?
