    Wow!  That's nice, Justagirl!!!

Barbe, when you are looking at you album on FB, double click on the picture you want to copy.  It will bring up the photo larger and you will see arrows on the edges of the photos, clicking on those arrows goes through the other pictures in the album.  Right clicking on one of the photos gives you the option to copy image URL.

Thank you Meece, and I will try to post my own photos again but this time thank you to Chrissy for saving the day. I do have one of double doors to our main bathroom I did design which reminds me of Barb's beautiful tapestry. Maybe I can ask Chrissy one more time???  Now you ladies are getting me to want to sew but I just need more hours in the day. I find I get tired easier so must get 8 hours of good sleep and even an hour nap in the afternoon!  Heaven, I'm starting to creak at 60 but I blame it on the BC drugs.............

Chrissy - hope you enjoyed your jaunt to the big city!

I get tired, too.  When we get home from work we work in the yard a couple of hours, fix and eat dinner, and then I am all in.  No time to play in the sewing room.  Every time I sneak into the house to do something, DH comes loking for me.  I like that he wants to work with me, but.....

Debbie, anytime you want something posted just let me know it's coming and it will be done.  It really is no trouble at all.

I was complaining to my naturopath yesterday that I am needing ten to twelve hours of sleep a night where I used to do very well on only four byt she reassured me that my body is just doing its thing and trying to heal.  Guess I just need to get use to the longer sleeping time and the shorter doing time.......doesn't mean that I still can't pack a whole heap on doing into that time......lol.

We visited the dressmakers yesterday while I was in the city to see the first drafts and fitting for DD's wedding dress.......OMG!!! is that dress going to be amazing! and she will look just stunning in it.  She has chosen ivory lace for herself and black lace for her sister who is the bridesmaid.  The only thing for me is that I now, once again have the job of crochetting her train as she could not find anything to substitute that would give the same look.   Looks like those doing hours sure will be cramed full!

Enjoy your summer days as we get cosy for our winter.

    Love n hugs.   Chrissy

Justagirl, another option is Photobucket. Set up an account and then you can download your pictures from PB to here. If the pictures are too big, you can edit them to be smaller.

Here are the steps after setting up your account:

    1. Go to http://s1298.photobucket.com/upload

    2. Go to Drag and Drop and click "Browse Files," then upload your picture

    3. Doube click your photo in PB, choose edit, double click your photo again and resize. I'm doing this now and typed in "300" width.

    4. Click "apply" and "save"

    5. Drag photo over to BC.Org:

You wear it like a necklace, tie and untie it at the neck. Looks pretty with a dress or for a special occasion here in Hawaii, or you can drape them around a lamp or picture.

Shell -- They look absolutely yummy!  I'm allergic to the orchids in fresh flower leis, but I love those anyway.  I'll put on a muu muu and one of your soft leis and feel fa-bu-lous.  Jan

shellshine - love the idea of a lei that doesn't fade or wilt!  Very clever of you!

Jan, while we were living on Kauai I saw leis made of all kinds of different flowers and leaves also - we were gifted with some for our wedding and I felt like a princess walking down the aisle.

Ok - will try the photobucket. My son should be home after finals at uni this week to rescue me.

Barbe - yes, that lamp was on facebook. For some reason, when my son changed my computer program to a new one, I can't find my last 10 years! of photos, of course which I never printed out or saved elsewhere. Will have to get help. Some of the pieces I still have so can reshoot them. And Barbe, I'm going to ask Chrissy to post my bathroom doors to show how you have made your needlepoint look like stained glass - and to think we both did our own designing, yet there is similarities.

Chrissy - yes, your fingers will be flying to finish your daughters wedding dress. Don't forget - we will want to see pictures of her, her bridesmaid, you, and the tables with the dream catchers - please!

I remember those too, and still LOVE them Deb!!!! Stained glass is like quilting; you have to get the colour and the pieces to fit well!

You are so right barbe. If you are doing a design with straight lines then they have to be straight and equal in accordance to your pattern.

I don't know about designing quilts as I've only done a couple of simple ones - like one for my son years ago with wide corduroy in irregular shaped blocks - squares and rectangles in the middle and the edging all one colour with a light wool lining. That had to be 12 years ago and he took it when he moved out!

Designing glass I know if the pattern I draw and cut out isn't right on, then the glass will never look right and the choice on  the colour combination is as important as the design I develop.

Barbe - I just think you are so clever to use window screening and wool for a needlepoint window! In the frame at a bit of a distance I can imagine one would think it was stained glass!

Shellshine, go back a couple of pages and see if you can find the black-framed turquoise coloured piece. That's actually needlepoint!

Here are the two stained glass interpretations side by side:

Meece, thanks for doing that! Personally I like Barbe's as it has more colour combinations and shapes which to me hold the eye on it longer. Mine, well it was the main bathroom doors, so I had to be a touch conservative and also only a few types of stained glass are non-see through.

I don't know how expensive fabric is in the US or Canada, here it is still reasonable but the price of stained glass per square metre or foot, wholesale, has sky-rocketed as all the hand made glass comes from the US! There is glass made in China, which is inexpensive, but not worth the labor.  I may have to try to do more sewing............

I think your doors are perfect for the use they are intended, and they are beautiful.

I thought it was interesting to see the two together because you really cannot tell that one is not made of glass.

Meece, thank you for your comment on the doors. When I do installations for myself or others, I try for simplicity, as you will be living with it for years. Have learned to stay away from scenes and flowers and birds for that reason.Yes, Barb's piece does like exactly like it is made of stained glass but the best thing about it is you can mount it on a wall and not have to have light behind it to see the full effect of the beautiful pattern, colours and workmanship.

OMG - I can't believe it's not stained glass. Both are beautiful.

Sigh, I finally belong to an artist's colony - on-line. My bucket list has a gold star.🌟

Thanks Meece! That was the perfect way to view them. I laugh at the way I'm standing as I'm over the kick-plate trim for our kitchen!! We haven't done anything new in a couple of months, but have someone lined up to help with the final install push as the corner pieces (still in our garage!!) are just SO heavy!!!! Should be able to do it soon....
