Might be headed down to the shore house for 1 week......my daughter, her husband, and my grandaughter are going.............thinking about it, but not sure what I am doing.............my heart says "go".......my head and body says..........."why bother, you can't do much anyway"..........back hurts, knees, feet and legs hurt...............can't go in the sun..............can't even walk a straight line when you do walk from the friggin "dizzy med SE's"......................so why not just stay here in Pa...............why go all the way down there to be disappointed when you can't join them when they go somewhere or do something................its all bullshit..........I swear I am going to go off this friggin Letrozole and just take my chances............hey many never see 79 years old............at least I have been that lucky................oh well.............another decision to be made..............
By the way......did I mention all the LE shittin garments did not fit right........one too short.......one so tight after 1/2 hour I had to take it off it caused so much discomfort.............just something else to deal with..........
Ok, I'm done............just call me "Little Miss Happy".

ducky - You can throw your Letrozole into the fire and I will be right behind you with my Tamoxifen. i so want to just ditch the crap and like you, take my chances. Too much shit has happened.
Sorry you are in so much pain and don't want to go to the shore. That breaks my heart because i know how much you like going. Have you thought of taking a med break and head to the shore? Lots of us have taken breaks. I know i have taken several. It is hard for me go to back on it once I start feeling so much better. I have less than 2 years to go.

HI....havent been here in a long while....had a breast MRI, my first one this week....and they found"something" in my left non cancer breast.....having an MRI biopsy june 9th. My mom is having a thyroid cancer recurrence and my cousin just had surgery for salivary gland cancer......ARGH !!! Please somebody burn this beast that keeps attacking my family !

Jo........if they keep us to 5 years I have 2 left first week in July............I was suppose to start in June of 2011, but thought about it for about 2 weeks.........they told me 6 weeks after Rads I was to begin...........I waited till July.............sorry I did.......wish I never would have begun.................my fear is now at my age even if I go off it, I may still keep the SE's cause so much more has fallen apart in the past 3 years...........
Bad knees, 2 broken vertebrae and only one repaired......waited too long for the second one, and it healed......................LE.......horrible fingers......just all the bullshit...............but do think I am going to consider a vacation, or completely going off it.........the percentages are a joke.........I am Stage 1, Grade 2, 1.2 cm tumor, and no no malignant nodes.............had 38 Rad treatments, and decent margins........2.0 all around, and 1.25 in one spot..............a hell of a lot better off then most...........hey maybe my problem is just old age.
My daughter says..........Exercise, walk, get off your ass............how do you walk with horrible knees (one should be replaced).........horrible pains in your feet.........and hip and thigh aches...........you tell me.............everytime she says it I want to slap her simple.............ok enough........hugs

ducky - I started Tamox in Jan 2011 and all I am doing is 5 years. I have told my MO that and I am sticking with it. After 2 hysteroscopies, 2 D&CS, a polyp removed, hysterectomy and now this shit screwing with my vision, I have had enough. Plus, I feel like shit all the time. Some days I have zero energy and have to make myself get off my dead ass. I was once a very active person and now doing anything is a struggle. I do hope the SEs do go away with time. I have read that it takes at least 6 months after the meds are stopped before it is completely out of our system.
BTW! Where is FK??// She must be hiding.

Ducky, I think it got even colder this morning. But it's a beautiful day now with occasional puffy dark clouds and showers. Then sun again. I planted my flower boxes which are hanging from my deck; and I finally have flowers to look at which makes me happy. I hope the deer don't stand on each other's shoulders to browse my new flowers.

Joan.....I am at the shore,and it is so damn cold down here it isn't funny.......this is ridiculous......the pool will never get warm............although my SIL says its 70...........the ocean is only 59...........suppose to warm up the middle of the week.......

Ducky, FK ignored my gift of spring. DH was fishing and he said it was very cool on the boat. Windy too. But the sun is wonderful. How long are you staying? is there a warm spot outside out of the wind? Enjoy it!

Will be here for the week.....with my daughter, son-in-law, and grandaughter (the nurse), will go home Saturday we have the new baby's christening on Sunday.......
Yes there is sun, but I have to be careful.........some of my medicines cause photosensitivity......so I can't be in it for long.........

Good Morning ladies........
Well yesterday decided to go to the beach..............figured.......under the umbrella all day, with my winter coat, turtle neck, hat and ear muffs, so who needs sun screen.............(just kidding, but it was cold)............so let me continue...........I get this very unsteady body, with bad knees and frozen shoulders finally to the spot where the "boss" decides she wants to sit.......(my daughter)..........and gently lower my ass into a beach chair what I hope is not going collapse when I hit it with my very small ass.......(right, it's small......shut up FK............
Now after I get my ass safely in the chair, my daugher tells my SIL......."Kev, put the umbrella over here", which at this point is 2 feet from where I am sitting..........the pole is in the ground when he realizes where I am...........says "Oh Duck, I'll move the umbrella over there I didn't realize you were that far away"..........daughter says "no, that's ok Kev, she can move her chair".......................of course I said, "don't worry Kev, as cold as it is my ass is not going to be under an umbrella.......for the next 4 hours I sat and contimplated "how the hell I was going to get out of that friggin beach chair, without either falling over backwards, or asking my SIL to get behind the chair, give it a push, and project me across the beach like those "recliner chairs for old people...............so now the wind is blowing at around 15 knots, whatever the hell "knots" are, and I am freezing my ass off............so I put on a long sleeve shirt I luckily took, put a massive beach towel from my neck to my feet, and sit and enjoy getting blown around like I am on the top deck of the Titanic......................
Finally after 4 hours of this, they say "well I guess we should go"...............best words I heard all day..........so now I proceed to walk back off they beach, knees killing me, but at least the wind was behind me which helped push me up the beach to the sidewalk.............had to pee like a racehorse.............normally I would do what most beach goers do, and fill the ocean by about 1 cup, but no way I was attempting to vacate that beach chair, even if I had to pee my pants and blame it on the 2 kids sitting 4 feet from me..............
The last thing my Derm said to me when she removed the skin cancer from my body 1 month ago, was "stay out of the sun"....................well she never did mention "the wind"...............right now I look like someone lit a fire from my neck to my forehead, from my wrist to my hands, and from my ankles to my feet..............can I say "scarlet red".......guess I should have had a bigger towel...............my daughter said to me as we got to the car..........."now aren't you happy you came today instead of sitting back at the house by yourself"............
When she recovers from the "ass whipping" I put on her after asking I will let her know just how happy I am................

Not doing a damn thing now....they went to the beach......more power to them.............but it is humid here too, and hot......I could go in the pool, but don't feel like it.........
