    The tree is up in my bldg...now if I could only have them developed soon I'll post pics.

    After we put the tree up we ate and then played cards

    Son brought  over tv bought 1 2 hour ago. Thanks wish we all lived close

    It is raining, dd2 brought over another tv n milk, yay

    I am doing ok, it is so painful. Thank goodness  4 pain pills,

    Blondie, I am so sorry that you are hurting. I do hope they find a better way to make shingles go away faster soon! Thank goodness for pain pills! Glad you have a tv, it sounds like you have two now!

    The fire is burning bright today. Thank you Jo - this is such a great thread.

    I've had a busy weekend Christmas shopping. Last year at this time I had just finished chemo and surgery, and I was waiting to start rads.Oddly enough, I feel like I had more energy at that time than I do now – very odd.

    GMA, we will all be in your pocket tomorrow for you pre-op appointment.

    Went with friend to see the movie Penguins Of Madagascar today.  Very cute. Suitable for big and small kids!

    Nice pix Ducky!  Bet the whole house was filled with good smells and laughter.

    I have my mom's cookie press and think of her when I make spritz cookies, trees & wreaths.

    We're doing a cookie exchange at work next week and I think I'll make rum balls, so good! ♥

    I asked 1 of my girls if the y wanted to do cookie day, no was the answer, so much 4 memories. Grayson n dw good combo, they r adorable, i miss  dw so much

    Yep shingles  suck along w cancer, went 2 walmart at 745 this am, supposed to b in the house 4 a while, oh well, needed stuff..

    U guys r they best, u make me smile, laugh , cry, it is strange to feel so strongly about people u have never met face to face. I know u r there 4 me n i hope u all know the same bout me..

    Agreed this time of the year is sad n upsetting 2 some older people. I recently have said the best time of my life was when my kids were growing up., now it is just lonely, i guess it is cause i so not have a sig. Othet

    OK...throwing this whole experience into the fire..
    I just wrote a long-ish post addressing your posts and the page zipped up to the top, skipped back a page, and when I clicked back, it was all gone. 

    Just wishing Blondie a quick recovery....and was marveling at your strong will to get what you need. 
    Also was chatting about getting a kitty ... but no time now...it's after 1:30 am and I get up soon for a 13 hour day at work. 

    Throwing into the fire bad technology and bad illnesses like shingles, and finally, loneliness - we all experience it as we get older....and holidays are wonderful but can contribute to feeling lonely at times.

    OK - it's jumping all over again....
