Managed to bring all of you in my BIG pocket..

The mammo was uncomfortable but I managed... They said the report would be out in a few days but my place lets us get a cd of all the scans.. I did peek and they don't look much different from last time except for the massive scar tissue clump I have in my radiated breast.

Son just called while I was typing and he got permission to hire me full time on my computer job from home... Not sure how this will work with my other5.5 hour job at the fabric store (the one that is paying my health premium).. Praise God - its more money and it is doable.

Love you Ladies and thank you for being there for me.

GMA - So glad everything went well.  Crossing fingers for the all clear on the mammo.  Please keep us posted.

PHX- My count went way down after rads. I was shocked at how low it went and for a long time. I am on gluetathione and a strong C vit Supplement to bring it up. I finished rads in Sept and in Dec I was still below the normal range. My docs tell me this is typical and that I should not be worried. They are not wanting to test my counts again until march.

GMA- I think you need a back back for the next appointment-better yet....a new purse!

Wow, no one has checked my blood at all (except pre-surgery last August) and, after rads, I am soooooo tired.

Who should do it or should I ask? The MO or the RO?  Or my regular dr?

My onco checks my blood every 3 months.I finished rads last feb.

I finished rads a year ago and my WBC is still just barley over the normal point.  MO does not seem to be concerned but I know my immunity is down so I am taking Astragalas root and zinc and so far I have not been sick.

My MO checks my blood every 3 months when I see him

GMA sorry I wasn't in your pocket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! be careful not to overdo anything this weekend.  I got really sore after my mammo in the radiated breast, but I think the tech was new......i shoulda just told her to move over and let me do it! lol

My blood is checked every three months too.  The almost vegan diet has really boosted my immune system.

Hello Sagina---you really do eat what i call sludge.YUK.dont get me wrong i know its the best thing for you but i could never get it past my mouth.Glad its workin for you.knew it would.just cannot swallow those damn veggies and if i do im sick anyway.

i guess im ok cause my blood work is all in the normal range and i feel good.(except for the normal stomach issues before bc).

Thanks for the replies Ladies!  I have been working with a Naturopathic Oncologist, since the radiation was completed.  She's managed to get me feeling pretty great, and I haven't been sick, til I had a bad reaction to the Teva and Watson tamoxifen brands - that's how they discovered the low blood cell count. I don't have and didn't have any other health issues for them to work around. Whenever something goofy happens, I always know, I'm not the first one this ever happened to ~ somebody has had some experience like mine.  Thank you for sharing and I'll try not to spaz about it.  Have a good weekend everybody.

I just finished Tuesday. I have some burns so I have been using sylvadene. I really never let this whole mess stop my life. Worked all through it just like before. Ran all through it just like before. I did switch deoderants and I have eaten alot healther, which has really helped with my running.

Renee31 I'm on a thread '"my good food choice today was..." something like that.  It's a great exchange of ideas and recipes.

Granny, I"ve always loved veggies so it wasn't a real big leap for me.  I"ve tried new ones this year though, some are good, some taste like grass.

I used Miaderm throughout radiation and for several months thereafter and my doctor was impressed with the way my skin held up.  It never burned, peeled or got very red until two days before the end of treatment it was a bit tender.  I tried several products and highly recommend Miaderm.  It's definitely worth the extra expense.  I was thankful to the person who referred it to me.

Saw my MO yesterday. I asked him about the hard lump in the incision area. He said it was from the seroma that had formed after surgery. He said to not rub or massage the area. I have been putting lotion on two times a day to keep my skin soft. Who knew. So now I put the lotion on very gently and try to avoid that area entirely. For those who have seromas or hard lumps this may be helpful. He said massaging or rubbing was just causing further irritation. Also said it may take six months or more for the lump to  go away.

Went to my Chinese medicine DR yesterday and he was the FIRST person to care about my blood being wiped out by the radiation and getting me beefed up again. I LOVE this DR.!!!!
