Right, first up instructions for Leah. To post a pic, make sure the pic you want is stored either in a file on your computer or on Face Book. (1) left click on the little thing that looks like a picture in the top line of the posting box. Another box will open. (2) left click 'choose a file' .........your files will open for you to choose the photo you want to post. (3) left click on the photo and then left click 'open'.........it will seem that nothing is happening but at the top of the box you will see a blue and white rotating line. This is opening your file and getting ready to place you photo into the posting box. When this action stops, your picture will appear........and you are done.

To post a pic from FB just do the old copy/paste thing. Hope this helps, if there is anything else or you are unsure of something just let me know.

Wils I think that sometimes we assume when we shouldn't.........our kids know that all in not well for us and have no problem about us not joining in with everything........they just like to see us and spend what I call quiet time with us reminiscing and laughing with some good conversation about what's been happening since we saw them last. Bonus for you that you can have a rest while they are gone through the day and then feeling okay for when they get back so you can start visiting.

Dang Kathy!! Got to love those services guys and their helpfulness in cutting cables.....not! Glad you are finally connected but boo on having to have your yard dug up so they can bury the cable.......it seems that if it's not one thing then it's another! Yay! for the new outside light!!!

Things have been mad here of late.......pretty normal for this time of year though. I will be glad when Christmas has come and gone.......thank goodness I am only doing the ham, ice cream plum pudding and fruit mince pies the rest is up to my girls including the setting up and clean up as I have been told I am doing nothing this year.........we'll see....lol. Come January 5th when I go to the city for an appointment, I pic up my 17 year old GS and his friend to bring them back to stay until the 12th when I see my specialist. I drop them home, keep my appointment and then pick up my youngest (16) GS who will then spend the next week with us. I love having them but I know I am going to be pretty tired by the time they are all delivered home....lol. I need to really stack my pantry as these boys all have enormous appetites........load of cooking to look forward to.

    Take care all you lovelies!!!

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

thought I would share a picture of the other house that is getting worked on now. It's overwhelming but will be great.

I am having a bit more energy. The supplements must be kicking in. Just in time for the busy week coming up.

I am having my last root canal tomorrow. This is the 3rd. My mouth feels so much better, finally.

Nancy which house is this one? Is this the one next to the little house? Sorry, just a little confused.....lol......nothing other than normal for me....lol. Which ever it is, it looks like there is loads of work being done so I will be interested to see the progress as it becomes the rooms for which they are intended.

Would your daughter mind if your shared some pics of the finished and furnished little house? I would love to see it all done.

My legs and knees are so sore from standing in the kitchen! Just the mince pies to complete.......the pastry is chilling as we speak and the fruit mince is all done and in the refrigerator just waiting to be put in the pastry so all is good. Ice cream done and in the freezer and the ham will be prepped tomorrow and the glaze made ready for Christmas Day........I think I'm organized.....lol. Still have to pack for a few days away and bath the dog so she is nice and clean as she will be accompanying us.

Wils, how are you doing lovely? Sure hope you are feeling okay.

Well time to go bake those pies........they are not going to bake themselves unfortunately....lol.

    Take it easy all!

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

Today was Marybe's birthday. Miss her.

My DH just walked into the room with a small shipping box and said, "How would you like to get one of your Christmas presents early? Its a phone!" So much for the surprise................ He has never gotten this gift giving thing down. He is otherwise lovely.

Love and hugs to all who have the energy to stand and make pies and other goodies! I have pushed myself hard to be social, fun, and involved in all the activities surrounding my son and grandkids visit! I have thoroughly enjoyed it all, and truly surprised at my getting through it all each day.. It's like, BOOM, at the end of the day, I almost collapse! No one is taking offense at me going to bed at 8pm or when it happens. This has been wonderful, having all three of my children here at the same time. I feel truly blessed. Plenty of time to rest later. I hope that you all are surrounded by your loved ones and have a wonderful holiday.

Yes, chrissy, it is the house I was living in this summer. I have moved back over to above the shop. I have to admit that I am getting slowly pulled into working some everyday. I will post some pics of my DD's house. Of course now it is a wreck because she is living there. And also the shelves are not up in the kitchen, yet. Microwave is still on the floor. She doesn't want my "help" with the decorating. I will bring you along on my journey thru this next renovation.

Wils, I have learned how to cut corners. I had a cookie swap to go to so went to a local bakery and bought cute Christmas cookies. I told the woman that I was going to pass them off as my own at a party. She said that's what we're here for, go have fun. So I saved my energy for spending time with people at the event.

the dentist put off the procedure until after the new year. He thinks I need to have the 2 month old crown taken off and replaced. Maybe a root canal, but maybe not. I had geared myself up for a trial today, so feel like I got a reprieve.

My DS is on his way home. So the next few days will be busy. But I enlist lots of help with preperations.

Lisa, such a relaxing sight! Probably made the wait less tedious, too.

Chrissy, sounds like all your ducks are in a row and you're probably all finished by now. It's Christmas Eve there, right?

Finished is something I probably won't be until the family arrives for Christmas lunch! DH is helping, always does, and today I asked him to pick up some dinner plates and napkins for me. (It's paper for this crowd!) The plates are fine, but he bought napkins with watermelons on them. This man has a Master of Fine Arts degree and prides himself on being a "colorist". His explanation for the watermelons is that they're red and green. Oh well, guess we'll have the only Christmas table in the world with watermelon napkins. And that's just fine.

Wilsie, I'm so glad you have all your children with you and are enjoying yourself! No matter if you go to bed early! The days are full and you're having a good time, and that's what matters, isn't it?

Nancy, smart idea about getting the cookies at the bakery! Our bakery here closed a few years ago and we don't have one at all, or I'd sure make use of it.

Happy Christmas Eve to everyone.  It's probably Christmas Day for AUS and NZ ladies.  Not sure about Israel.  Anyway, Happy Day Whatever It Is!!!

I will be doing some Christmas dinner preparations.  Making dinner rolls, making a shrimp mold, stuffing two pork roasts that will go into the oven tomorrow morning.  Tomorrow morning I'll have to get up early and spring into action making several dishes while the roasts are in the oven.  DH and I will transport the food to my youngest sister's house, about 15 min. away.  We should have 17 adults total and 4 children.

My mother will turn 92 on the 27th.  She will be there and all 6 of her children and spouses, a grand daughter and her 3 children, a grand son and his daughter, another grand son and his live-in girl friend.

Anyone else wish someone would invent a Christmas tree that automatically undecorated itself?

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas, or Hanukkah, or whatever is celebrated in your home! We had a lovely, if noisy, one with both children, their spouses and the 3 grandchildren. DIL's mother was at their house but wasn't able to come here due to a severe vertigo attack Christmas Eve night and Christmas morning. I'm always a bit glad when all the festivities are over and done and we get back to normal,

Carole, you certainly had a lot of people at your family's Christmas. And congrats to your mother on her 92nd birthday, too! It's nice that her whole family got to be there, for I'm sure that made her happy.

Now I have to get started on cataract surgery as soon as it can be scheduled. This typically isn't done under general anesthesia and I have severe sleep apnea, which is why I've been reluctant to schedule it. I cannot breathe on my back. Hopefully I can take my bi-pap machine and use it during the surgery. Surely I'm not the first patient with this issue.

Hope everyone's just been busy and not sick. There's a lot of flu going around here, and all the people I know of had the flu shot. Scary.

Lol Kathy, I just use one of those self decorated ones that take two minutes to put up and two minutes to put away...........love it!!!!!.....lol. Sure hope you can get your surgery organized soon.......just the thought of that surgery scares me pantless!! I know it will be coming for me down the track as I already have the cataracts developing.......yuk. Anyway, good luck with yours and do let us know when so we can harass the doc to make sure he/she does a good job for you.

Carole, wow! did you have a crowd for Christmas or what?! I remember Christmas's like that but thank goodness that mine are much smaller now.

Lisa that is a gorgeous montage!

I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year!!! Here's hoping that 2015 brings with it nothing but good things, good health and loads of love and laughter!!

Love n hugs to all. Chrissy

The real world for me right now is the flu, although I'm improving after almost 4 days. Don't know if the fact that I had the flu shot lessened the severity any but what I have is surely bad enough! Hope nobody else here gets it.

Bugga Kathy but I can sure sympathise as I've been battling a chest infection and am at the moment, sitting in the waiting room to see my doc. I've had one round of antibiotics so here's hoping I don't need anymore.

Hope you are feeling better soon!

Lisa the color of those poppies is amazing!!! So vibrant!

Well I got the all good from the doc but he did give me another script for the anti B just in case...........he likes to have all things covered.....lol. I am finally home and DH and GS are laughing like crazy people while watching an old re-run of 'Two and a Half Men' but I on the other hand I am more than ready for bed! A six hour turn around drive has done me in.

Happy New Year to you Kath!! Thanks for explaining your change of name as I would never have recognized you.....lol. Yes, I have been a little quiet but after next week all will be back to normal......lol. Most of my grandsons have their Birthdays from November on and last year I had the added of going to New Zealand for a get together and to spend some time with Aly......I had a ball and only wished it was a little longer.

Kath, if I'm around and I usually am, you can always find me here or on the Aussie girls thread if nowhere else.

Happy New Year! May it be healthy, happy and fun for us all! (or at least parts of it)

Sorry about the flu, kathy. Hope you are feeling better now.

lol chrissy, I was like but you just went to NZ last week what is she saying last year?

I had another trip to the dentist today. He had to take the crown off that was just put on in Sept. and do a root canal and fill a cavity then put a new crown back on. The stupid nerve would not go numb. He called it a hot tooth. This was the second tooth like this, the one in between was a normal tooth and I didn't feel it after getting lots of novacaine. I was glad there wasn't anyone else in the office cause I was making some noise. It took from 10 am until 12:30. They felt so bad, but all I felt was the pain. Anyway, he has this cool machine that mills the new crown right in the office from some pictures he takes of the tooth after he finishes the root canal. So therefore I did not have to get a temporary crown or go back to see him unless there are more problems. He just popped the new crown on and I was outta there. I came home and slept for 3 hours. Now I'm awake....... It is just sore from where the work was done, not the achyness of the nerve dying. I think I have learned my lesson about waiting too long to get my teeth worked on. What's that saying about old dogs learning new tricks?

My energy level and general all round well being has improved just from getting my mouth taken care of. When they say the head bone is connected to the neck bone and all the rest "they" are not kidding.

Yup Nancy time sure does fly!! I'm going to Cairns for the middle two weeks of March and when I booked the flights it was six months away. Now, I was thinking about it the other day and really it is now only eight weeks away!!! I can't believe how quickly time goes by......it seems that the older you get the quicker time passes and it's just not right!....lol.

Bummer about the 'hot tooth'.......but girl, I'm bending down in awe of you being able to sit in the dentist chair and go through with that root canal!!........I would have been outa there quicker than a flash the second he headed for me with a syringe never mind anything else!!!!! I am just so petrified of dentists and no matter how hard I try, I just can't get past it. So glad you were able to go through it all and your mouth is feeling so much better.

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

Hi everyone, and Happy New. year! I, for one, and hoping 2015 is better than 2014. Being the "eternal optimist", am already facing two new challenges: 1. My port has to be replaced, can't get rid of infection. The good news, I can quit the antibiotics which are tearing up my stomach. 2. I am having a colostomy, in spite of the surgery being risky, I have peritoneal mets. Good news here, also. I should be able to get off liquid diet and eat normally.

Trying to stay positive is a challenge, but that's the way I handle things. I know I can get through this, with your help and support. Praying for everyone as they get over hurdles, too! Wilsi

When I get older losing my hair
    Many years from now
Will you still be sending me a valentine
    Birthday greetings, bottle of wine?

If I'd been out till quarter to three
    Would you lock the door?
    Will you still need me
    Will you still feed me

    WHEN I'M SIXTY-FOUR.

So, I need an answer. My DS (the one in culinary school) said Yes. Whew.
