Done with my tasks for the day. Now to enjoy the rest of the day until hubby gets home. Supposed to get out at 2, wish they would let them go earlier as there is nothing really pressing going on today where he works!

Badger, your treats sound yummy....I do not bake treats, I am making stuffed mushrooms, for tonight, spinach salad tomorrow.

Badger - I'm coming with you. All sound yummy.
I've changed one set of sheets, another to go. Given the dog a bath. Dried another load of clothes. Must wrap DD's gift. Have hamburger thawing for enchiladas - what DH voted to have tonight. I have frozen croissants to make a croissant french toast casserole for in the morning. My little road has been busy, busy this am. People must be going last minute shopping or on their way to grandma's house. DD should arrive between 4-5 and DH gets off no later than 6, maybe 5 if he's lucky. The joys of retail for him.
I hope those of you in FL are not going to get what MS got. Pictures are devastating.
I'll probably lurk on here a bit in/out. Wishing everyone of my best buddies who reside here a very Merry Christmas or a late Happy Hanukkah or even a Joyous Winter Solstice. Hoping for no pain for anyone and only the most wonderful of holiday celebrations.

Merry Christmas!!
Enchiladas sound yummy! We're doing finger foods tonight and watching movies. I wanted to go to church, but the latest service is at 6pm and I don't get off work until 530pm.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas! I wish everyone peace and hope ((hugs))

Sorry, ladies, I didn't neglect you intentionally, couldn't get the page to load today! But I will reward your patience with the story, since you already know the meaning.
When DH was growing up in Indiana with his big family, his dad's big Polish family in Chicago, and his mom's big Tennessee family in northern Indiana, they would spend Christmas Eve with Dad's family, and Christmas Day with Mom's family. So, the day before Christmas Eve they would have their own family Christmas. They called it Christmas Adam because Adam came before Eve.
His dad was a manager at Woolworth, so to keep the kids from going crazy Christmas week, if they were good, they would get a small toy in their window in the morning. DH and I carry on that tradition still. He's really hard to buy for though, since if he wants something, he buys it. But I got some fun window toys this year. Mickey Mouse Christmas striped slipper-socks, a pashmina scarf, chocolate, a flashlight, Apple earbuds, a lined watch cap. I always try to get him some kind of remote controlled toy, he likes those. I kind of fell down on the job this year due to not shopping at all, but I managed a couple things and cousin filled in the gaps. We actually hang a sign in our chosen window with our names so that the elves don't get confused.
We went to church, early service, then picked up McDonald's for dinner on the way home. Cousin is singing at 6 & 8, so they're feeding the choir at church. It was very festive. Saw friends I hadn't seen in a while.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas Adam and Eve, and have a wonderful Christmas Day.

To all my Friends: I need to be more active and spend less time on the computer, so December 31st will be my last day on BCO for the year. I will return at the start of the New Year on January 1st. Thank you for understanding, I'll miss you all dearly.

Tang, sorry you had to work today. Did the DD finally calm down?
Sass, how does one find grants? I need to see what's out there for men who had testicluar cancer. Remember my granddaughter that got married last spring? They've decided to start a family next year. They just found out the ins doesn't cover IVF and it will cost them $15,000 up front to get started. He lost both testicles, a year apart, he only 23. They did save sperm. Any recommendations
