Marie I am done! Tw bras and two bathing suits! What I liked was that it was totally a store for those who have or had cancer. Is Sharon's like that or is a lingerie store like Diane's on S. Granville? Or Bare Basics on 19th or in Richmond?

Cher, Compassionate Beauty that just opened their store in Vancouver (here in Calgary for 9 years) is at 1683 Chestnut (near 1st and Burrard) and phone # is 604-733-3001.

Had a great time snowshoeing yesterday at Bragg Creek Park near Calgary and dinner with old friends. Home tonight.

Cher there is also Zammy's in Abbotsford, very knowledgeable both bras and swimsuits, for mastectomy, after surgery and after recon, just bought a new bra $130 ugh, but it looks pretty and I am tired of all the sportsbras

    Hi and welcome AndreaJ50

Sharon's is in one of the suites in the medical building at 750 Broadway. Just mastectomy customers. Very private and comfortable.

Marian I am glad you are enjoying the scarf! You would laugh if you saw my living room right now - it's like a hat and scarf factory exploded.

Thanks Marie, I live in Tsawwassen but I've started back to work part-time downtown where my massage therapist is.. My surgeon is connected to BCCA and UBC so I've been in town often. I too bought a bra at Sharon's - they have a two for one sale in November and have been really helpful.

I've not talked to anyone about this, and you all are only ones seems can understand. As I posted the photos of my ab with the lumps a few days ago they (or the bottom one) has gotten bigger & is taking a bit of a different shape.. yep it's all really starting to bother me,& this evening laying on my stomach/side I could really feel how big the bottom one is

I was good at ignoring em for the most part for all this time. but you all understand when something like this is needling you in the back of the mind.

I keep telling myself it can't be anything bad.. but as they're growing so fast now & can't imagine what they could be and the line up/shape etc (they don't move btw) my appt for the ultra sound isn't until Dec 16th, so I guess I'll see if I can get on a cancellation list.

I've not told anyone in the family about them, waiting to hear they're no biggy. Feeling angry that it took 3mths of bugging Dr, arguing with him & then the photos finally got him into action.

Am I being negative thinking a possible scenario of C?

been keeping busy with work & settling into another new home (3 move in a year) & happily putting up Christmas decor

    xo

Marian - I realized it was Friday after I had submitted it. Anyway, your wait is almost over!

It is indeed a glorious day here in Vancouver - a little cold, but nothing compared to other parts of Canada. The weather was pretty much like this in 1977 and the only reason I remember that is because my daughter was born on December 5th that year and it was a gorgeous sunny, but very cold day.

I am busy getting ready for my son and his family who are arriving from Quebec with their 2 kids - 7 month old and a two and a half year old - will be a very busy and noisy house for a while, but lots of fun.

Prayers and thoughts are with you for Friday.

Cher the bathing suits were about $100 each.  I guess that could be considered pricey but they are very well made and nice and thick where they need to be (bottom and straps).  Also the coverage is perfect for me - what with my radiation tattoos and mastectomy scar.

I'm hanging on to them because even without a prosthetic they still look really nice on.  And for suits that are almost 4 years old they are holding up like new!

You might want to call and see if anything is on sale and if they have suits in your size before going in.

    Good luck!
