    Five years ago today I got 'the' call. Those first days are so confusing and scary. I am so very thankful tobe here and for BCO. I have made lifelong friends here, and saved my sanity more than once reading others' experiences. Thank you to the mods and to every single person who shares their life.

    It was my anniversary yesterday! 5 years ago, I had my surgery.

    I actually saw my doc this morning for the results of a bone scan. No cancer (what a relief!) but arthritis.

    Posting a little late, but I'm almost 6 years out from diagnosis - I was diagnosed on August 10, 2009. Next week, I will be participating in a 15K race (over 9 miles!), something I never thought I would do. Hope to do a half marathon in November. There's life after cancer, even for those diagnosed at a young age - I was 36 years old when I was diagnosed. Keep on keepin' on!

    I'm playing the lottery today. 5 years ago I was officially diagnosed with breast cancer. I'm still here, healthy cancer free. I now consider this one of my lucky days.

    See you Augusts 31st to celebrate my NED date.
