Xavo, it was the one in the black shirt and khaki pants! He's the youngest. Coca cola shirt is the oldest, just smallest, he took growth hormone shots when he was a kid and is about 5'8" .The others are over 6 feet

Hi all,
Mscal - thanks for the tip - I'll try it.
Dee - Clyde is my kind of car. Good luck tomorrow with your rads and the long day. But at last it will be done.
Annie - You Hot Mama! I had such a good chuckle!
So, I have very good news. Brain scan is clear! My new nurse navigator called me this morning with the results. OMG she is so nice and efficient! I mentioned to her that I would have liked to talk to my Onc regarding the surprise mets but Onc is on vacation. She suggested I could speak with another doc but said I would rather talk to mine when she's back. So she will follow up on it.

Hello everyone,
Linda I am spinning in circles with happiness over your brain scan being clear! Words cannot express how happy I am, what a relief. Wish I could go celebrate with you but I'll have my own little party here in your honor.
Lynnwood, you have a beautiful family and wow 35 years of marriage and 40 years together is amazing! Our 25th is on August 18th, hope I'm feeling well and get some good news on my upcoming scan.
Yep I'm suffering scanxiety, CT scan is on Thursday at 9 am. I could use your prayers and good thoughts.
Xavo, sending positive thoughts and anxious to hear what your onc says.
Hugs to all of you lovely ladies here, Annie

Lynnwood- Love your family photo.
Annie- Sending good peaceful thoughts your way for tomorrow. Don't forget to take a few deep breaths.
Xavo- Let us know what your onc says about T-9.
I just got my MRI results and I am being referred to a specialist who does a procedure called RFA Radio Frequency Ablation on one of my tumors. It takes about 5-6 hours under general anesthesia. I will let you all know after my consult.
Hope- how is your pain level? Any better?
Can't remember who had the grey cat in the sink....too cute. I used to have a grey cat that looked very similar.
Nauseated/pain today so won't write more for now...oh and those hot flashes are nasty today. Guess it's my own personal summer!

Hello to all,
Forgive me if I leave anyone out, I'm so tired and just got through a mountain of laundry. Myra, thankyou for the well wishes. I'm just wondering if your grandchild arrived?
Lynnwood, thankyou and yes this scanxiety stuff really sucks, I think I would rather not be scanned this much. Too much radiation and too much stress but I do understand why they need to.
Lindalou, I have heard of RFA and I hope it's an option for you, wishing you the best! I will try to remember to take deep breaths Thursday morning, thanks for your peaceful thoughts.
Linda, I'm happy you'll be with me in spirit and I'm grateful for your prayers.
mscal02, thanks for your good thoughts.
Terre, you may be across the world but I'm happy to have you holding my hand. Praying for stable or better and hoping my low tm's accurately represent what is going on in my body.
Hugs to all, Annie

Hello all. Myra, do we have a new baby yet? That is very exciting. I loved your pictures Lynnwood.
I'm still so very excited about Linda's brain scan results.
Lindalue I'm excited to learn more about RFA.
I know I missed a lot of people, and I'm missing Carla and Patty completely. Sorry about it. I would do much better with my computer than with this phone.
On Monday I had the 2nd treatment of my 2nd cycle. I can't remember if I told you, but that lovely 11.5 Polys was down to 1.5, which is minimum for treatment. This treatment definitely kicks my WBCs. Does anyone know why? It also kicked my red blood cells, so I had to go back to the hospital for a bag of reds. I send a big shout at to those who give blood and especially take the extra time required to donate reds only. I didn't come home full of energy, but the dizziness is gone. Anyway, no wonder I slept all week. Hopefully I'll get up and do things this week.

Hey Dune - great picture of you baby! He (she? Can't remember..sorry!) is so lovely. Glad you made it through round 2 and got a bag of reds. (sounds like the 60s...bag of reds...hehehe). I used to be a solely red donor since I'm AB+, which is the universal platelet donor. But in NZ, if you have had any kind of cancer, even a minor surface skin cancer, you cannot donate blood. Ever. And that was before Stage IV. At the time I thought it was a bit overly conservative, but in retrospect, is undoubtedly a good decision. Glad the dizziness is gone and hoping that you continue to gain strength and energy...and kick that cancer to the kerb!
Annie - I hate scanxiety and I get it really bad. Sending positive, calming thoughts your way. I just finished reading The Dalai Lama's Cat and The Power of Meow. I'm going to try to use some of the ideas from The Power of Meow (mindfulness stuff) for the next scan.
Hugs to all,
Terre

Hi all!
Xavo, I'm having rads to get rid of my bone pain & my "non existant" tumor on my sacrum (tailbone)
Linda, fantastic news!! Annie, fingers crossed that your scan is good. Dune! Good to see you & your bird! Lindalou, good luck with the RFA, hope it's an option & works for you.
I'm sorry I'm missing people here, I've got a foggy brain, I've taken a sleeping pill because I have to get up so darn early to get down to Victoria for 10 am. So I'm going to say good night, please keep good thoughts about rads working for me. Cheers, Dee

Hoping the rads treat you well, Dee. And relieve your pain. Sending good thoughts and hugs.

Love all the positive. From buying new cars and posting family and furbabies. Prayers for you all, sorry LindaLou. May everyone days be filled with love (even if it's loving your new car) or your furbabies. I love these furbabies. Cathy

No baby yet gals! Still waiting on pins and needles, just praying I don't have any cancer road blocks to slow me down. Bloodwork on Friday, not looking forward to it. Was hoping the baby would come so I could put it off for a couple of weeks...LOL. I'll try anything to get out of getting stuck. DS and DIL said their doctor said it could be 2 weeks from when she loses the plug. She did have her last 3-D ultrasound and they said she is at least 7lbs. She did look kinda squished in there.
Well good morning to all, hope you all have good results and easy trips to get there. Dune, glad you are feeling better and Terre, I don't know how you are working full time still. I get really tired on the Ibrance by 3. I would like something to keep me busier though and this junk out of my head so much.
Cristina, how did ur second opinion go? I hope you got good answers.
Best of everything I can give.....BTW, one more thing, my mind rambles nowadays, if anyone tells you to spread coconut oil in your hair to stop frizz and make it shiny, RUN! Still trying to get it out on day 2. What a mess...
Myra.

Cathy, beautiful fur babies! Myra, you made me laugh thinking about then coconut oil in your hair! Sorry you have such a mess on your hands. One of my patients wanted to have coconut oil in her juice every morning as a health benefit and let me tell you...that stuff does not dilute! What a mess and disgusting to think about drinking it!

Myra - Thanks for the tip lol. Crossing my fingers that your grandbaby comes soon! You must be so excited.

Happy to hear everyone's news. Kittens and waiting for new babies? What could be better than that ( well, a cure for bc, but we grab happiness where we can).
If you haven't seen this, it's quite funny. I am not dissing coconut oil and use it myself as a moisturizer for very dry skin, but it has become quite the cure all fad. Enjoy!

Lindalou, hope the RFA goes great. Looking forward to hearing more about it. I saw my MO again yesterday for another pain med adjustment. The schedule was too involved and confusing for me, so we adjusted it. I now double up in the evening so I can hopefully take less during the day. She said I would be a little out of it the first day or two. So far, I keep falling asleep here with coffee in my hand. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Thanks, Hope. Never try to do anything that requires brain cells before that first cup of coffee

Myra, I am laughing my butt off thinking about your coconut oil problem. It's the way you put it. Obviously it must not feel so funny to you. Thanks for the heads up. That's something I thought I might do when my hair comes back in. SAVED by Myra!!!!!!
Dee, I'm sure your radiation treatments will help your pain. I haven't had to even think about using that cane in ages now. It sure helped me.

Dune, I laughed pretty hard at it too. 3 hair washing later, it is finally not greasy and somewhat not frizzy. Totally not worth the time nor effort. Save the coconut oil for muffins! Myra.

Christina, so glad you got that second opinion! It sounds like we will be on the same new regimen, which I started today -- at least the Faslodex shots. I am sooo happy to be on something new, and the initial injections weren't nearly as bad as I'd feared. When do you start yours?
I'm behind in acknowledging so much news, but I've been in a lot of pain the past two days (left rib area mostly), as well as crazy busy trying to get caught up from being away for a couple of days and prepared in case this new regimen slows me down at first.
Linda, GREAT news about the clean scan!!! I can't imagine anything more terrifying than waiting for results of a brain scan. Thank God all is clear!
Lindalou, I'm so sorry you didn't get better news from your CT. Hopefully, the neurosurgeon will have a plan to stabilize that T-10 area. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this, but also grateful for the good news on no new progression and no issues with your thyroid.
Lynwood, if I didn't say it earlier, it was so nice to see your picture and your beautiful family.
Dune, glad the red blood cells are helping!
And Myra, I'm also watching anxiously for more news from you!
Hello and hugs to anyone not specifically mentioned this time! You are all so special! Deanna

Beautiful furbabies, Cathy! I just want to snuggle with them.
Deanna and Christina - glad you both have a plan. Sorry to hear you've been in pain, Deanna. Hope it abates.
Hope - glad you got your pain meds adjusted.
Thanks for the coconut oil tip, Myra. Waiting for news on the grandbaby!
I have a friend who is now making soap and it's fantastic. She did some with coconut oil and it just turned into a mess and the coconut smell overwhelmed everything else, so she's not using it anymore. She's now doing a bar/solid shampoo and wants me to be a test subject (nothing in it that interferes with meds or mimics hormones). I'll tell her "no coconut oil!"
Thinking of you with the rads, Dee, and you with the upcoming scan, Annie.
And also those of you I've not mentioned specifically - Patty, Carla, Xavo....and everyone else (sorry - foggy brain).
Hugs,
Terre
