Hello! I am so sorry, that I haven't updated in a while! I have been wallowing in self pity, much of the summer. A total waste of time,I know!! I ended up hitting rock bottom emotionally. Dh is healing nicely and no new problems to speak of. I was put on an antidepressant that did terrible things to my psyche. probably enough said on that subject! Dh should be able to go back to working light duty,a few hours a week in a month. His TBI still causes me a lot of worry, but all in all, things are improved!

Lita - I can only reiterate what has already been said. You are a true Rock star to us all!!!!

Ladies, there is power in numbers, right? I was thinking that we could light a candle or pray,meditate..... whatever your thing may be all at the same time. Say next Sunday at 7:00 Pacific or Litas time. Let's show this wonderful lady how much we hope love and care for her!!!! Light for Lita!!! Any suggestions???

Love and hugs to all!!! Chelle.

Chelle, I am so happy to see you back! I have been thinking of you and your family. What is TBI? I'm sorry you got lost emotionally, and sure happy you are feeling better.

I think the candle lighting sounds good...trying to think...it sure would be great if, somehow, she could see it...I think I will talk to tech wizard son about that.

    Hugs and prayers

    Chelle, count me in!!!

My Ct scan shows no change! That's such a relief. He is going to do a brain MRI next Wednesday just to make sure there's nothing there. So we'll see I guess ! It's all in God's hands

Chelle, so nice to hear from you! I'm sorry you've been through a tough time emotionally. This is a roller coaster ride for sure. I joined a meditation class which really helps me. Glad to hear dh is healing nicely. I love your idea for Lita, I'm definitely in. There is power in numbers for sure and I'm sure all of our healing energy will reach her.

Gracie, yay to stable! That's awesome news. Praying for brain MRI to be clear as well!

Momallthetime, thinking of you and Dani. Whenever I have a weak moment and feel sorry for myself I think of Dani and quickly rally to keep on moving forward.

    Hugs to all, Annie

I LOVE the idea of a candle, ladies! I keep one of those "fake" batteryh ones going all the time on my dining room table (so I won't burn the house down, ha ha).

Even if someone just snaps a JPEG of the candle and posts it here, that would suffice.

Thanks so much all the love and support. My nose and forehead look worse today, but surprisingly don't hurt as much, probably b/c DH and DD kept at me to keep icing last night.

I'm so sorry, Lita! Have you considered a Hail Mary play? You know, stuff that you can do yourself that hasn't made it through the barrage of anti-cancer studies, like Tagamet...there's another...hang on. https://projects.propublica.org/graphics/cancer-drug-alternatives I know that Tagamet is over-the-counter in the US...I actually bought some myself at diagnosis, but then I read about it causing man-breasts and figured I shouldn't mess with my hormones...and it turned out to be unnecessary anyway for me at this stage. But I mean...can it make things much worse? I know that several years ago a Canadian university was studying Tagamet's affect on brain tumours and had good results, but I'm not sure if that was primary brain tumours or if it included mets. Maybe try some alternative therapies as well? Lypospheric vitamin C in high doses, CoQ10 (I think that the studies were at 300-400 mg), Budwig protocol...that sort of thing. Anything and everything that may have a chance of working and won't screw up your quality of life.

Chelle who wud have thunk it what wud get you out?? Well that's another thing sweet Lita accomplished!! So nice to hear from you. I was thinking of you a whole summer. Steady as they say. Who would not get down deep with what you've been going through? Great that you are taking something. We all need it. It's actually a thing even in the "outside"world if not you are not in 😉Hugs, and hope every day is better. Gonna go out and get some nice colorful candle.

Milaandra, those are some good suggestions for Lita. The first thing that comes to mind for me is Frankincense, it is actually known to cross the blood brain barrier and has been helpful to many people with brain tumors. I've been using it for years now topically and internally.

Momallthetime, I'm always hear reading and praying for all of us, I just don't post alot. You can be sure you and Dani are never far from my mind. She is a force indeed as is her mother!

    Hugs to all, Annie

Gracie, Doing the happy dance for you!

Chelle, and everyone else, if we set up a google photo album, worth a link to BCO, we can all post our pictures at the same time! Do not know how, but ds said he would help, but we need the mods too set up the link. Wouldn't that be awesome for her to see? Anyone who is camera shy can just take a picture of the lit candle! Sorry it took so long to get back with this, we are preparing for hurricane. What does everyone think?

    Hugs and prayers

Claudia-yes!!! Great idea! Would be great to show her how many love her!!! Also TBI is traumatic brain injury. I can look in his eyes and see a stranger. Very scary! But he is coming back,it's just slow to heal.

Mom-HaHa!! Yes,it was Lita that brought me out of my little turtle Chelle!! To answer a question asked long ago. I have my oldest dd and her dh as well as my two grandsons living here with us. My fifteen yr.old daughter had two friends staying with us all summer! My Mom has been with me since my dad passed on in 04. We are a house full. But I thrive on it!!!❤️

    Cheers to Dee,if you're reading.....

I also wanted to mention that dh takes gabapentin for his headaches.i take gabapentin for hot flashes, and it works for both of us!!

I had a pet this morning.... here comes the scanxiety!!!

Here are a few pics of my new hood. The views are amazing! People must think that the mountains here are the only beautiful part..... they are mistaken! The grass lands are serene!!!image

This my neighbor took and posted on our Facebook page.image Here's a fifty acre sunflower farm that I can see from my back porch!

Lita-consider this picture a virtual bouquet, just for you!!!!

image Lots of love and hugs going out to everyone!!!!❤️❤️Love Chelle❤️❤️

Thank you for the flower pic, Chelle...I love sunflowers.

Oh, and pharmacist says I should be able to take gabapentin along with the steroids...no drug interaction, so I'm all stocked up in case I need them. Bone pain is getting a little more intense since I can't be on IV chemo while getting whole brain rads.

    ChelleG:

I hope you will forgive me that without your consent I reposted your great idea to lit candles and say a prayer at 7 pm Pacific time on Sunday at the "Lita 57" thread. Kandy created that thread for Lita, so lots more admirers will lit candle and concentrate our prayer power for Lita at that appointed time. Thanks for your great idea.

You mentioned earlier that you had terrible results from antidepressant. Few of antidepressant are known to have adverse/ negative effect from its intended use. Have you considered changing/trying to different antidepressants? Wish you and DH continued improvement.

Just so you all know, those of us in other countries may not be able to participate in the candle ceremony, but it isn't because we aren't supporting Lita...it's just that it will be, for example, 2 am for me and I have to work the next day...

Yep, I love the Light for Lita idea too but I'm in Aussie and have no idea what time 7 Pacific means. I'm guessing 7pm on the West Coast? I think I'm about 12 or 14 hours ahead so, at a guess I'd be doing it at about 7am on Sunday.

This is very confusing for those in other countries so how about those who are not in the US make it a time of their own choosing because the thought will still be there in the Universe as long as we light up some time on the Sunday.

Love and hugs to all Heart

just a quick report on my scan results - stable! Bones are stable and liver lesion even reduced in size a tiny bit! So the Ribociclib and LSZ102 (oral SERD) clinical trial combo are working. I'm starting cycle 5 of this protocol today. Feeling relieved

Great to hear about your stable scans! I am happy for you.

I just finished my second cycle of ribo/letrozole. Hoping it works. I find it easier than taking Ibrance. I am not experiencing any fatigue.
