Mags- your time in SF sounded wonderful. I used to work in an executive job in the early1990s and traveled to the bay area all the time as my company had an office there, as well as in Dallas, and in Hartford where I lived a the time. I took advantage of my time when I was out there and often spent an extra day either going up to wine country or going into the city. We may have been out there at the same time!

I had hoped to extend my visit to do some things in the city and connect up with a friend who lives north of the bay area, but just could not do it this trip with just starting back to work again. Flying in tomorrow and back out wed night, back to the client site for contract meeting with a software vendor on Thursday morning. Cash flow rules right now.

The conference is going to be in Santa Clara and there will be a welcoming reception in at the nearby 49ers stadium. Do we have any 49er fans here?

And I hope you breeze through this final chemo session. I hope you are feeling recovered from the pneumonia also, and can put this chapter of the treatment behind you soon.

Teka- despite doing all this personal training, I am still not loosing the weight so I am going back to something I know worked before and was recommended by someone else on another thread. No processed carbs after 2 p.m. Meaning breads, pastas, etc. which I don't eat that much of anyways, but my trainer confirmed this is a good way to reduce the carb load end of the day.

I find it nearly impossible to loose weight on the AIs too. I went off them for a month last year and immediately lost 10 pounds. Sigh. It is frustrating to me the docs give you this protocol and tell you too loose weight but the meds keep you right where you are. Doube sigh.....

Beautiful day, going out soon in the convertible! She needs some gas.....

Blondie- I love the ladybug tat! So cute and on your hand where you can enjoy it.

Onco- I have seen all kinds of cool tats that women do around their bc surgeries, etc. Some women have lacy bras tattooed on which I think look very cool.  Maybe you should explore some body art for yourself too? I don't have any tats but know they are very popular for everyone these days!

Teka- I like to eat a lot late too. I had my last meal today at 4 p.m. and mostly protein so hopefully I am good.

I got all my errands done but had to go elsewhere for gas as Sam's Club had these lines a million miles long. Reminded me of the gas lines in the 1970s, remember those? I was a teenger then but used to go with my dad and sit in line for hours waiting to gas up.

Will ping you when I am back. Out into the friendly skiies tomorrow morning. I plan a bit of work and then some pool time tomorrow afternoon between the time I arrive and when I go to the reception!

Onco, how would you know where to put those ladybugs? I'd vote for the caterpillar, at least you'd know exactly where to put it.

Safe travels, Jazzy. While you're in the air I'll (hopefully) be in the chair.

Blondie, nice ink. Don't think I could handle the pain. I'm bad enough with the stuff I already have.

Besides, DH would have a kitten.

    Good Morning Ladies.

Jazzy our traveler is on her way today. Good for you Jazzy and safe  travels and throw some fun and relaxation in there too. Good Luck with all the business u'll be doing.

Mags I hope today is u'r last chemo, and it's OK for u. Finally right?

Blondie I really thought a tattoo would hurt and that is great. Itoo have seen some really interesting tats on what used to be boobs, in fact they were beautiful but I imaging it was very time consuming, but they sure looked good. And believe me I was never one for them, now I really like them.

I'm sorry I haven't been keeping up lately, I'm still feeling so floopu and I was going t the surprise party Sat. nite and I got my D on Friday and it kept me home Sat. nite, I was so unhappy about that. I had everything figured abut what I was even wearing. I'm used to having it, but  hate when it interferes with my going somewhere. Then my cousin called and they were just going there last minute for a little party--Now I would do that cuz my cousin and family all understand it cuz my sister has it and so does my cousin but the ride is ike 45 mins. so that let's that whole idea go. I was really upset. It stopped Sat night after taking a load of pills bt no energy to move, I didn't even take a shower.

    Mommy, Onco how u doing.

Teka I love u'r good morning and good nite pics.

    Shower today ladies.

OK I'll BBL Hope everyone has a good day.

Cami, I showered yesterday. Isn't it funny how those things become less of a priority when they take so darn much energy, so we put them off until we have to be around people (mostly docs) or until we just can't stand ourselves? I even have a shower chair so you wouldn't think it would be so bad, what with having no hair to shampoo or shave, but it really is. DH is nose blind to me, even when I can't stand myself, and my body odor is just chemo, and my cousin has no sense of smell left, so mostly it's just me and the odd visitor. But it really does drain me.

Up at 4, darned steroids, just been sitting here playing solitaire and enjoying my last decent tasting coffee for a couple of weeks, I know I shouldn't be anxious to get the poison pumped into me, but as long as it's the last one, let's just get it over with, shall we? So I can get on with the next phase.

Mags I don't blame u, finished is such a great high, cuz at the beginning it seemed like forever. And this shower thing is so true, I know I need a chair but I don't have one and when I get in I'm all right but as I wash nd clean my back start going and I feel like I have to get out and rinse as fast as I can. It's sucks up s much energy frm me too. Oh well, that's the way it ges.

Thanks for the grats and compliments, that scarf is one of the ones my sweet friend brought me a couple weeks ago, and I think this is my favorite one  of the bunch. It has a really nice texture to it. The blouse is an old one, I just thought the colors went so well, then I went and forgot my earrings. DH's boss lady came by for an hour or so, what a sweetheart she is! She brought me a frapuccino for my adriamycin push, and she was very interested in the process and watched the whole thing. I said, "It's a hardware thing, Diana." She replied "I'm a software expert." That's our standard repartee. She also brought me a gift, an Origami Owl necklace with a circular shadow box kind of pendant containing a pink ribbon, a disc with "Hope" and a little "Hope" charm, and the background has "Survivor" on it. She knows I'm not into the pink stuff, but thought this suited me and I agree.

And I made a new friend. I was in a curtained double suite with a lymphoma patient who is in remission and gets maintenance chemo every two months. We had friends in common and a lot to talk about. Before it was over we'd sent and received friend requests on Facebook and found we had yet another friend in common. Small world! I never even put my earbuds in or played solitaire. Spent the whole infusion talking.

And after I rang the bell, they gave me a certificate of completion, and all the chemo nurses had written little notes all over it. So sweet. And they gave me a bell to take home. Even though the bell on the wall is more like a ship's bell, the miniature bell is more like a cowbell. But DH will not let me put it on the dog. Poo. Well, here's a picture of it:

Mags- I just love everything about your final experiences in the infusion center yesterday. From DH's boss who could be very present with everything, to your own honorary cowbell, to the new friend you made. These are the nice little things that happen while you are being taken care of during treatment. I am glad this is the last one and hope you have few SEs from this final one. You are a trooper and look how far you have come?

Blondie- well danged about the flu and pneumonia. You are the second of are gals here with the later recently. Hugs sister, going to PM you too.

Went to the new 49ers Levi's Stadium last night for our welcoming reception. A new state of the art facility like no other and big money tied to this place. Made me realize what an "industry" football is, although I think I knew that. We got a small tour and that was very interesting.

I slept like a log last night, and up early to get ready for the conference which starts with breakfast in a bit. I found the fitness center and going to go exercise later today before dinner, and also hit the hot tub tonight. Really nice hotel (Hyatt) and looks like it is going to be here again next year if I can make it again.

Gotta finish getting ready for my day and wishing those of you who are not feeling well a better day.

Forgot to say, MO doesn't think this has been pneumonia at all, so I'm having a lung function test this afternoon. He can't hear any congestion in my chest or any other sx other than the SoB. And that mostly appears with exertion, like walking round the house or trying to fix something to eat, or even talking for very long on the phone. Bummer, right?

If you get a chance to hit Fisherman's Wharf, Alioto's is my favorite seafood restaurant, hope it's still there, a San Francisco landmark. Years ago I stayed at the Fairmont and they had an Italian restaurant in the hotel with waiters who sang opera. Loved it. And of course, for the very best chocolate, Ghirardelli Square is right at the end of the trolley line, where they turn around. Enjoy, enjoy, take lots of pictures!
