    Good Morning Ladies---

Oh Jazzy that is a beautiful center piece, perfect color--leave it to u to find it. And Joey l loved that video and it was funny cux he was wtching his mouth and then I found a Benny Goodman one and he loved the song and the solo for the clarinet, then I start talking about Jazz too, I told u I dted a Jazz pianist for 8 yrs so my appreciation for jazz  came later in life but we were talking just about what he's capable of doing if he loves it. It was fun.

Ducky I'm glad u'r better those evil pills can just rip u'r body apart I know cuz they did mine and it hasn't stopped--I think I've had enough the only problem is my bones won't recover they are to far gone--I'm being stuffed with bone vitamins but so much damage has happedned it's not going to repair so going along with a cane and siumped over is the best I can do, and how I haven't broken anything falling so much is a wonder according to them and my heart thingy is from Herceptin, so I'm on Pin meds a lot and try to stay comfortable, I have stopped for a while but it made no difference the damaged has happened with no stopping so so I know what u mean completely. Here's hoping it all works out for u and u start to fee good again so u can enjoy u'r life.

Well the start of Thanksgiving week, which I can't believe I know my kids want to just stay home, but I might go somewhere and if Joey wants to come with me he can but I have to wait til Thursday to see how I feel--hope OK, but I already know If I go what I'll bring so I'm ready LOL

Well I hope everyone has a good day, weather here is crazy, but it is all over.

Good morning hermits- hope everyone is gearing up (or winding down) for the holiday week.

Bippy- I am glad that you are getting through this last round of chemo and are just picking up some food to have at home this holiday. You sound like you are settled into home this week, and that is a good thing. Thank god chemo is wrapping up.

Blondie- that is a good deal on your turkey. I ordered between 14-15 lbs and plan to serve two meals out of that for the four of us, and make some things after too (soup, a casserole, etc.) I pick my fresh turkey up today.

By the way, for all here, I have this great recipe from many years ago from my almost MIL, called Hot Turkey Hustle Up. Low and behold, I found the recipe on line for you! It is totally delicious and great for your left over turkey:

    http://www.cooks.com/recipe/9p7ai0m5/hot-turkey-hu...

Cami- so glad you and Joey enjoyed the video and a great idea to share Benny Goodman with him too. I think young folks need to be exposed to the masters of the instrument they are learning, so they can see how far they can really go. When I was Joey's age, I started with the flute and for me, it was hearing jazz artist Hubert Laws that really inspired me. Now kids have YouTube and what a wonderful way to see all the legends! I hope Joey continues playing and enjoying his music. And yes, I remember you dated a jazz pianist (lucky you.....)

Mommy- I saw your post on the other thread. Can you share a picture of your new kitten with us? She sounds like a doll.

I have to get going to my day.. Heading to work for 6 hours, then to personal training, picking up the bird, and later down to the hotel to see the fam that arrives today.

Slappy- glad you popped in! Wishing you and your family a good holiday!

Hugs to all my other hermit friends here. Have a good day and gobble gobble!

Hi hermits- survived the busy day. All the wind yesterday and into today has made me one really congested girl. I think I now have allergies on top of the waning cold. But I got to work, to personal training, got my turkey and just checking some end of the day client e-mails as I am meeting some deadlines this week. I made some good progress, but still waiting on a contract from the vendor to take for senior legal review. Sigh.

The family is here and got in mid afternoon. They are settled into the hotel, and I am going down shortly to visit and we are going to get some local NM food for dinner and will hang out and visit.

Teka- so glad your dinner was good! Now you can enjoy the rest all week. Will DH watch football for T-day?

Mommy- Princess is a lovely name for your new kitten. I bet she is having fun in her new home, and can tell she has brought you a lot of joy already. I love how they run around and just collapse like that. Nothing better than a kitten (okay, any baby animal really.....)

Onco- sounds like you will have a white Thanksgiving this year? Best to stay home until the roads are clear.

Ducky- your little Grayson has a beautiful smile, and I can tell she has a bright spirit. She has a twin if I remember correctly?

Hope you all have a good evening. I am going to find a warmer coat and head out into the bitter wind again. Should be warming up as the week goes on. My California family does not like the cold, they are spoiled!

Ducky-she is so cute. She looks like she is driving a British car, being on the right side!

Went down to see the family at the hotel and ate some take out with them. They are road weary, so we said our goodbyes.

I got some nice holiday coffee from Peets Coffee in California! Look forward to that in the morning!

    Prayers ducky!

Princess is still providing me with plenty of amusement. She's already been running around like crazy this morning again. She let her daddy see her antics this morning, he thought it was cute.

Blondie, never have done cyber monday either. Wish I could get a pic of her to post up besides the one I was able to use for my avatar.

Good morning hermits- I woke up early, but feel rested and getting my day going.

Ducky- I heard the news about Ferguson just as I was going to bed last night. And now I am hearing about what happened overnight. Very bad there, and very worried for people in the area. It's like a third world country at war situation. Prayers to your grandson that he will stay safe. I would hate to feel like a prisoner in my home. Keep us posted on things please?

Blondie- cyber monday is the Monday after Thanksgiving. There are usually some good deals around with on line shopping, similar to what the stores offer on the day after Thanksgiving (black friday). I am not one who likes crowds, lines, and the consuming public in general (my years working PT in retail back in the day taught me how nasty people could be around the holidays), so I don't partake of the Friday shopping thing. But I do like to get some on line deals on monday. I need to buy some food items for business gifts end of the year and waiting to see what Harry and David offer closer to that time. Amazon usually has some great deals too!

Mommy- are you uploading photos from a phone or a computer? I am not very good with the former, but can coach you through the later. I often send photos from my phone to my laptop, save them there, and upload from the computer. You can do so by clicking on the picture icon here (looks like a square with little mountain in it) and uploading your photo here. Would love to see a bigger picture of your new furbaby!

Hope everyone has a good day! Hoping those in treatment are doing okay this week too.

hi all, jazzy I am with you as to the shopping thing. I am in no mood or state to be surrounded by hordes! Love online shopping.....

6 days past last chemo and starting to feel quasi human. Was able to eat last night for first time in days. What a pleasure! My surgery will be in about 3 weeks, just waitin for date. My BS is a handsome devil with big soulful eyes, yes, I am in love, hahaha. Really more for his abilities-he is one of the best in town. He was very encouraging and is always honest. I feel blessed he is on my side. My DH is also in love with him for these reasons.

I want you all to know that I am so grateful for my Hermits, who accepted me into our group, have made this horrific at times experience bearable, with laughter, listening, love and kindness. You are all special sisters to me, blessings each one. I hope I have helped in kind, in a small way.

Happy thanksgiving Hermits! Wishing your day is filled with love, laughter and peace

Good morning hermits- busy and full day yesterday. Worked until 4 p.m. and then went to pick the family up. We did a little "retail therapy" at my favorite boutique here (sister and I came away with a few things), and the local fav bookstore where my sister found some books and Xmas cards. Then we had dinner with one of my sister's long time friends (now one of my friends) last night too. I came home to crash and feel tired this morning. And another busy day ahead, too (personal training and work in the am), shopping in old town and happy hour this afternoon.

Bippy- I am glad we have been able to help you through this and will continue to do so as you go through the rest. This community of women is a wonderful place (especially this thread) to have poeple to talk to about this whole messy process. I hope you have your date soon for the surgery so you can prepare. Nothing wrong with having a hottie surgeon either!

Must get to my busy day. I may not be here again until after the holiday again and until the family is on their way home Saturday, so blessing to everyone for a nice holiday how ever you choose it. Despite the bc crap, there is always much to be grateful for.

happy day hermies! Bippy was able not only to COOK breakfast, but to EAT it too with much enjoyment. What a joy after a setback i had yesterday. Cannot go into it, but it involved getting rid of a product that the smell of made me violently ill. A normal product for most, an abomination of vomit inducement to a chemo gal. Buh buh, scented trash bags!!!! They put me in bed for hours with the heave....

We stayed bundled in the warm flannel sheets and snuggled, DH and I. He is still snoozin. Kittaehs are likewise snoozin, all is well in Bippys house! No plans today, have some final labs and watchin the parade is it. OMG a neighbor moved to Minneapolis in June...it is 14 below there now! Stay warm herms

jazzy- beautiful. i saved it! So simple and true.

My WBCs are low, so I am just taking it very easy, taking Cipro, and staying away from crowds. I guess it's a good thing we have no plans today! Oh well, I don't feel up to much anyway.

Our weather is amazing today. Very, very grateful!

Hi hermits- whew, what a busy day but everything came out beautifully. The gang enjoyed the meal and also seeing my home since I did all the reno work this past summer. They seemed happy and full when they left about an hour ago.

Tamara- welcome to our thread! I have hermitted many times on Thanksgiving (sometimes before BC too just due to busy schedules, being tired etc.) I hope you had a nice meal and had a good day.

Tomorrow we go to the bird refuge. Then back here for leftovers.....
