Blondie- well, dang it. After that good news about your PET scan, I was hoping things were on the way up for you. So sorry to hear about the shingles. I hope you can get past this quickly and that you get your TV back today too. Little kitten will bring you comfort. Hugs sister.
Mommy- your kitten is SO cute, but she sort of has a devilish look in her eye. LOL!

Good morning hermits- glad to be to friday for sure. I have a personal training session first thing this morning, a massage later and then I have planned some fun things just for me the next day and a half. After spending weeks getting ready for family over the Thanksgiving holiday, I felt pretty depleted this week, so now I am working to restore......
So here is what I am going to do this weekend just for me. Going tonight for a bit to the Old Town shop and stroll. Old Town is so pretty at Xmas time with the luminarias and other Xmas decorations. I have not been to this event in a number of years, when I have tried to go the weather has not been good or I could not go for some other reason. The past two years I was working through the holidays (last year) or in bc treatment (year before). So this year I am playing catch up with all the cool holiday stuff around here, and getting to everything I have not been able to the past few years. I will post any good pictures from tonight.
Tomorrow I am giving myself a day of music and yoga. Going to get back to the music jam and also signed up for a restorative yoga workshop tomorrow afternoon.
Bippy- I am glad you have your surgery date and now you can get things taken care of that you need to before you go in on the 17th. We will be "in your pocket" as we like to say, when you go through your procedure.
Mommy and Blondie- how are those new kittens doing? I have a funny picture I need to post FB for you if I can find it again.
Wishing everyone a good day.

Princess is doing good. Running around like a nut and driving me crazy. Our dog Jackson just takes everything in stride, although she does bug him occasionally

Hi everyone i;m the MIA person lately, oh not cuz I go anywhere, just because I think I can be smart. I'll explain a little. I rebooted my computer, said yes when maybe should have said no and visa-versa, I'm learning all over again. U have to remember I've only been on a computer since I started here, never had one, didn't know a thing and slowly taught myself a little. Now I'm back to 0 with a mushier mnd and much less usable brain cells, but the computer is faster, i'm slower. Oh Joey had his concert and not one squeek from him, Shocking I know but he's still serious about this, so he thought he was a success---we have given him way to much confidence in doing things.
Jazzy as usual I love how u take care of u'rself and enjoy so much. U are someone who should go on a commercial for cancer and give himen so much hope, I would just sit there and giggle. I have to stop that cuz no one takes me seriously until they see results. LOL
Teka u are so morning--it's nice to see coffe, Joey made coffee and it's good this morning.Oh and my DD got an A on her test and Joey was so proud. LOL
MO I think I read it was u'r BD==I hope it was great for u. Andnow I totally forgot who has princess, everyone is getting kittens and they are so very cute. I love furbabies but I think dogs are more animated and excite better, but cats have their unique personality and when they have u'r trust they cuddle with the best of them and talk when they feel like it.
OK Lily, u worry us here, why oh why don't u go on some type of antidepressant, if u don't like it try another--there are to many meds to choose from and it's amazing the difference in how u will feel, I know there are SE's but with these drugs they usually go away in a short time and they are so worth it. Sometime that seritonin just doesn't drip the way it's supposed to and these meds help that so it balances u brain out. I've got a new drug I'm taking well it's helping me (for something else) but I now have blurred vision if it doesn't stop then I won't take this drug--but when I do look in a mirror the wrinkles aren't there--so It's a thinker.
I haven't caught up reading, so I hope I'm not screwing up what I'm talking about.
Blondie as always (((HUGS))) for u, u'r a hell of a woman.
We're having Christmas eve here for my SIL family--UHG so I don't want to get knocked out for Christmas Day so everyone knows when it's time I just come in my room and get comfortable and unwind, I just have a hard time with 2 days of partying and all the stuff before hand.
OK I've bent u'r ears long enough, but I am sorry I don't get on these boards as often, I'm still busy with work and moreinvolved now that I know so many customers so it keeps me going anyway
So HUGS all around for everyone.

Hermits- some good news today about a friend who just got diagnosed with endometrial cancer. She said the surgery indicated that it looks like they caught it early, and she may not have to do chemo (whew). She is already home from her surgery and recovering nicely, and going Monday to see her along with some homemade turkey noodle soup I am making later today.
Makes my day.

i have tried various anti deps in past, they dont agree with me, make me feel lots worse........had bad news last week re recon, fibrosis and new lump plus poor liver results.........all mean I have to face the hospital that gave me PTSD AS NO PEOPLE skills...........barely slept last night.......
0 -
Lily- oh dear. I remember you said a few months ago your liver tests were not good, but they did an ultrasound and nothing, right? I think you still were worried though. Did they rerun the liver enzymes?
Hoping the new lump is only scar tissues like Mags had. Hugs Lily. Things still very hard for you.
I have a friend who suffers from depression and struggles with the meds too and cannot take them. Maybe something to at least help you sleep?

Lily, you are in my thoughts. I truly wish that your medical team could be compassionate and helpful.

Jazzy, that dog comic gave me a giggle. Thanks.

lily I am sending you hugs.
Well, I learned that I am gettin herceptin AND perjeta for the full year. Good news, perjeta kicks ass! Get a MUGA soon to check heart and pray all is well to continue herceptin. Surgery on 12/17, actually looking forward to it, as a means of movin on. no one believes me when I say that bmx is low pain operation, but it is what I hear from everyone who has done it and my surgeon.....i need to get it behind me so I can keep going ahead.
Having breakfast with my pals today, cannot wait to see them, it has been months. Going to grocery store and getting good, nice fresh foods! Have a great day herm

Bippy, you are probably already at breakfast with your friends, so I will say I hope you had fun.
I am going to see one of my 9 year old granddaughters compete in a gymnastics meet today. Planning and/or attending outings is hard for me because I have social anxiety ... self diagnosed. For awhile, BC seemed to intensify my social anxiety, but luckily, the anxiety seems to be decreasing a little. Maybe practice makes anxiety ease up. I have been trying to be more social.

thank you, no no rerun of tests, going to normal doctor next week to ask for some, massive cuts in health service here......no easy ir fast access to Onc.
0 -
Cami, I just reread your post. Good for Joey! His practice paid off ... no squeeks.
0 -
Lily, keep us posted on next week's doctor's appointment ... sending positive thoughts that it goes well.

Hi hermits- I had a perfect day. Cannot remember the last time I said that. Morning music jam sounded especially good today. Afternoon yoga workshop was delicious. Jazz feels a bit more restored tonight.
Bippy- my sister had herceptin for a year. She said there were no SEs with that, just had to make the time to go every three weeks. I am glad you are feeling ready for surgery.
Lili- please let us know about the doctors apt and what he/she says. Not good news on the cut backs, we have our challenges here with the changing healthcare world in the US. Leaves many in the lurch.....
Blondie- why do those people want your kitten back? Probably miss her cuteness. Tigger or Tiger is a good name. I love calicos......
Cami- oh yes, good job for Joey. He sounds like he is doing well with the clarinet.
And no I would never be a spokesperson for bc due to my need to keep things private with my consulting work. I like helping folks here though.....
I found out today through the grapevine what happened with my MO. A fellow I know in the music group has a type of leukemia and has to do maintenance chemo and he was talking about how all his doctors are leaving the state or retiring. He said his MO just had a heart attack, and I said "who is your MO?" knowing there are few in this city. Turns out his MO is mine too. So my doctor won't be back for awhile. I knew it was something serious, I could tell by the tone of the gal's voice who contacted me to reschedule me with the CNP. I hope he makes a full recovery.

Mags- I saw that on FB the other day. So true. Are you doing better with the rad treatments?
Sally- yes, how was the outing? I think bc changes us so much. I hope your GD did well?
Making some turkey noodle soup right now with parsley. Second pot later today will be turkey bean soup with chard.
