    Haikus can be fun

    not to mention addictive

    My brain thinks that way.

    Beautiful words come

To showcase what we can see

    And share it with you.

My mom was dx with BC 33 years ago, when she was 50.  That was my age at dx.  She's a ray of hope!

    Its incredible

How the mind can follow form

    And have it make sense.

    ______________

My DMIL had BC 20 years ago. Died of old age at 90. Hoping to get there too.Badger, Wheres your Mom living now? Is she moving here?

Pessa, I hope all is well. Had another magnesium tx today. But the Slo mag is better than the other mag. So even if I take 4 of them its better for me. Much love to all.

Monica, she's on the southwest coast of FL and yes is moving here, near where I work vs. where I live.

    Found a place for Mom

Nice enough I would live there

    Take good care of her

Lost a friend to this f****n disease. I will update a poem I wrote for a friend who's son died.

    Our Tears We Add

I cannot write a poem today.

My heart is broken, shattered clay.

The news that passed from hand to hand

Twas sharp and cut bone deep; and damned.

Our tears we add as she is laid to rest

She never gave up, through all of life's tests.

Her pain is over, though we still cry

Knowing its time to say goodbye.

All that's left is to remember, and pray,

    I cannot write..........

    Rest in peace Michelle.

Ok. Another Not Haiku! Just blame the weather!

    First Snow

    The first snowfall this season

    Floats gently all around.

    Draping over piles of leaves

    Still left upon the ground.

    So beautiful and shining white

    Reflecting the Suns rays.

    Green grass slyly peeking through

Last trace of sun filled days.

    Soon melting into water

    First Snow will never last.

    Enjoying fresh snow again

    Forgotten seasons past.

Soon enough will come the pain

    Of moving snow along.

    From driveways , sidewalks, rooftops.

    It always seems so wrong.

Time will heal this pain too

    As Winter comes to stay.

For now we'll dream of tulips

And wait for sunny Spring days!
