Elizabeth, sorry you got stuck in ER. Hope antibiotics kick in quickly & you get to go soon.
Mariae, I agree with everyone else. Get a scan soon. Not knowing is worst.
Molly, prayers lifted up for DS.
Beeb, tough decision. For me, when they went back in to get clean margins, they found a small spot of IDC beside DCIS. So I'm taking tamox. After about 9 weeks, no noticeable se.
614, glad you've been able to keep up walking with busy schedule.
Had a good time at our Autumn festival yesterday. Very tired. Going to church, then hope to get a good nap in.

Molly, so very sorry about your son. I hope he responds quickly to antibiotics.
Beeb, thinking good thoughts that you can make the decision that is right for you!
Elizabeth, hope you're doing better today and can be released soon. Did you ever get a bed yesterday?

I will be seeing my MO tomorrow for the first time... new dr. jitters... i'm taking my path report with me so i can ask about the pni cancer and why 4 nodes were taken.. the report isn't really clear on some things, so back of my mind i am hearing chemo... but not worring.. God has this and whatever comes He is in control after all is said and done and my friend is going with me. Her sister is still sedated and intubated after the surgery, so thank all of you for your prayers and concern.. they thought she had cancer, but took out her overies and it was benign tumors

IHGJAnn, good news on your friend's sister. It is always challenging when first meeting a new doctor, especially one you are likely to be seeing for years. Make sure to write down your questions so you won't forget anything you want to know. Keep us posted!
HUGS!

Yay!! I got a bed last night at about 9 pm. I had a great night sleep finally. So far I am definitely not going home today. I was still running a low grade fever last night. I don't know who the genius was that decided I needed a stool softener along with the antibiotics. But I now have Mount Vesuvius going on. I am going to have to ask my hubby to bring bananas and applesauce to me. As well as. Depend

Elizabeth, glad you got some sleep. Don't you love geniuses? (Probably not so much right now). Hurry and get better!

IHGJAnn, They took 4 nodes because your dye traveled to those nodes. They were all neg and that is really good. Sometimes the nodes are very tiny and clustered together and your BS will take a small group. This entire little group of four is considered your Sentinel Node area. Most people think a Sentinel Node biopsy is just one node, but it is how many have absorbed the dye. On the flip side, sometimes a BS takes one, and the other nodes are left in and could have micro mets. In my mind, better to be safe that sorry. Just look at alot of the gals on here had 4 or 5 taken.

Judy, ditto to what Michelle said. I wound up with 5 removed, and even my bs said she was surprised there were 5, I guess a couple were tiny and stuck together. So thankful for your friend's sister. That news must have been a huge relief.
Elizabeth, yea for the bed! Boo for the softeners!!! Get better!
Yesterday I had mentioned I was having a couple of friends over to work on hammered metal jewelry. The afternoon was so much fun, and then one friend and I were just sitting outside talking, when this little wind came up and in 10 seconds flat picked up one of my umbrellas and deposited it on top of my patio cover! We both looked at each other and broke out laughing. Couldn't have happened again if we tried!!! Laughed again and went and got my DH!

Peggy,Michele, and Dara, Thanks for the info.. I didn't know that about the nodes.. It makes a difference.. and I'm taking my path report so the MO can explain it better. My friend, Fay can remind me of anything I may forget. It's so good to have someone who has been there and can help you navigate this unknown territory.

Dara, I had the same thing happen. BS thought she was getting 3 nodes and 2 were lurking and came along for the ride. That's funny about your umbrella! Glad it was easily remedied!
HUGS!

Elizabeth, did you mean to say “4 rounds of Taxol,” not “tamoxifen?” Tamoxifen is taken daily for years, not in a limited number of rounds.

Dara, love the umbrella photo! Those are the best laughs sometimes! I had one fly from my pool area over my house during santa ana winds and it landed in an oak tree. I ran over to the driveway half expecting it to be launched in one our windshields. You can imagine my surprise when I couldn't find it anywhere. Finally saw it in the tree on the hill behind our house!

Hugs to you, Elizabeth. I hope you feel better soon and can go home. Here's a picture of my DS during a rare moment yesterday when he felt well enough to smile.

oops". Stupid computer it could never be an Id10t error on my part, Sandi.

Elizabeth, it's not the Id10t error, it's the aggravation chip... always works 101%...

Molly, so sweet and such a special smile. I'm sure it's your love and care that has allowed him to prove the "timelines" incorrect. Hope he's feeling a little better.

Elizabeth Glad you got a bed and hope the rest helps you recover soon!
Dara love the umbrella adventure.
Karen your trip sounds amazing what a wonderful friend!
I went to a beautiful wedding yesterday! The couple was so happy and the day was perfect. I saw a friend you I hadn't seen in awhile and could tell she was in treatment(the telltale hair). As we talked I learned she was dx with BC in July had LX and has started chemo. I encouraged her to get on BCO and join this group. It feels like BC is everywhere!
Take care of yourselves

PlanB, it sure does seem that way, doesn't it? Sad. Glad you encouraged her to join us!!

What is everyone up to today? I took care of my niece who broke her ankle last night, and my sisters are busy with my mom. She snored so loud that I tried to sleep in my son's room in the basement. Then I headed to my own bed at 6am. My husband snores badly too, so my own bed is not a great option for night time rest. Tired today and going to get some rest.

Michelle, my husband snored too... have you tried earplugs? my neighbor gave me some that are for the rifle range... much better then the foam ones... my neighbor plays piano and says she has to have it against the wall on the other side of my living room... they work great!
