okay ladies I now have a question about posting a reply? If I post a reply in a specific person's area does only that person get notified that I posted a reply? Still trying to figure this all out. I don't want to leave anyone out and not acknowledge their kind words.
I have added all of you who have posted since my post last evening to my friends list - cuz from reading your posts - I definitely want to be friends. You all have a great outlook and RHGRS - your post made me crack up out loud. I LOVE your sense of humor - it is amazing considering all you have been through. You give me hope - truly.
Someone mentioned McCains in salado which is very nice - just could not remember if they were open on Sundays. I am down for either place. Jwoo - Salado winery is very nice.
I am looking forward to meeting everyone - and thank you everyone for the warm welcome. candy

The only time you are notified is when someone sends you a private message. I could be wrong....and I'm in IT!!
Most of us stop by at least once a week, sometimes once or twice a day....depends on what's going on. And as you can tell from the posts, we are very supportive of one another....and we get it! Although our experiences are all different, many of them are the same.
Anyway, can't wait to meet you! We'll do a final vote on place in a day or two.
Ladies - Zelda will be coming up from South Austin to join us on the 19th. Any of our San Antonio friends able to head this way? We would love to have you!

Hubby is doing 2X infusions for infection. Did not qualify for home health and driving to downtown austin did not work out he got lost and disori eyed and sick as a dog. So today is first go at St David's in Georgetown.

Sunday in salado is great for me. Really looking forward to it - will go to f/up oncology appt on the 17th. Went yesterday for first mtg with surgeon and oncologist - MRI showed some lighted areas on my lymph nodes so now I have to have ultra sound of underarm and possible biopsy and the. CTC scan next week. They also arranged for genetic counseling /testing on the 15th - so I am back to waiting ofr more results. I liked both docs - and oncologist said my treatment would definitely include chemo and surgery but in what Order is still up in the air. I am so confused as to what to do - both options have pros and cons. Guess I need to wait to see what the next few tests reveal. Please say a prayer that my ultrasound does NOT show anything suspicious and that if they do a biopsy it shows something other than cancer.
Yesterday while I was home for several hours waiting to leave for the hospital was the absolute worst. I thought I would throw up. My BP was sky high 189/89 - and I don't even have high BP. I know I am not the first woman to go through this - but it has been the worst 2 1/2 weeks of my life. I was hoping for more definitive answers yesterday but now just have more questions.
One4bemi will not be coming - she is scheduled for a MX this Friday and I know she would appreciate reviving a PM from anyone in this group. She is a wonderful lady. I have been praying for her everyday.
I live only 7 minutes from Salado - and am glad to also offer up my home after shopping if anyone would like to sit around the patio for dessert or wine!
If we go to McCains - they are open on Sunday from 8-1:30 so I would recommend we get there no later than noon or 12:30 and meet up at the cafe. If I know the number of gals I might be able to go this weekend and talk with owners and have them reserve some tables for us because it is rather a small place. It is tight on Main Street toward the north end of town next to the 2 story brick building which is the civic center.

Candy, So sorry you are having to go through more tests. This is the worst part. You and on4bemi will be in my thoughts and prayers as you get answers. If you feel you need help coping, ask your MO for anxiety meds ,if you need to Try to stay busy and don't forget to breathe! Thank you for the info on the restaurant and invite to your home. So nice of you!

I can't make this one. Being in San Marcos, it's a little too far for me. I hate that I missed the last one but I was so burnt from rads. Y'all be sure to have another one. If it's more Austin I should be able to make it next time. Can't wait to meet you all in person. Hopefully soon.
On another note... My husbands colonoscopy was yesterday. Diverticuli confirmed. They did take off one polyp but we found out today that it was benign. Praise God!!

Hi Ladies! So glad I just found this post! All of you are very encouraging. I live in New Braunfels and celebrated my 5 year in 9/13, went for my annual checkup and boom, Stage 4 bone and liver. A bit freaked but finally sinking in. Love yalls attitudes and look forward to chatting!

Thank you ladies for sharing your stories and for your generous and overwhelming support. I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow-left MX. If I make a whirlwind recovery, I will try to come on the 19th. If not, I will look forward to meeting everyone next time. Please keep me in your prayers tomorrow. Each day, I am adding new women to my prayers as we unite in this community to fight and win. I have not had time to do much posting, but I have gained so much from reading the posts. Thank each of you. You do not know how many lives you touch by sharing and opening your heart.

Happy Dance! Sunday I back out of our church ladies retreat to the coast...too much drama with hubby, but now he's doing infusions twice a day at St .davids and seems ok. Pastors wife said my spot is still open did I want to go! YES...I'm excited to hear what The Lord has for me and enjoy a few days on the coast soaking it in...pray for hubby and puppy...I think I'll be missed.
Now to pack in 3hours and hit the store for goodies to bring.
