I'm there - the time and place are fine. Thanks for doing this - I'm happy to be meeting up with y'all!

ChiSandy - Lucky! That's a great Hyatt. Cindy is right; definitely the best time in Texas. Hope you love it!

Anyone have any advice/suggestions for getting electric needle testing and possible future surgery for carpal tunnel on my truncal lymphodema side? I've been so cautious about LE, but had a lot of flare ups as I've been doing some gardening and yard work. Just had my last session with LE PT. Not a lot of research on the subject and certainly nothing conclusive. Of course I won't choose permanent nerve damage to my hand, but some options would be nice. Ah, breast cancer, the gift that keeps on giving. ✌️❤️Lind

BookLady, I had both the nerve test and the actual carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists a little over 1 year after sentinel nodes were removed. Then 10 months later had to have my node side wrist operated on again for release of a tunnel on the top side of my wrist. This was last October and I am doing fine so far. It was scary, they did a beer block with a tourniquet for the first one. The second one I insisted on an IV delivered anesthesia. Ask in advance for an anesthesiologist who can does IV without tourniquet. I wish I had known. Good luck.

Hi! My name is Kim and I live in New Braunfels so I thought I would join the Hill Country BC Warriors page. Started this journey in November with my initial surgery on November 19th. BRCA neg, had a scare on my L breast and needed an MRI guided biopsy(benign fibrous tissue), and now I am to see an RO on the 22nd to visit about radiation for the Right and Tamoxifen. Take care :)

Warning - DD left work early with vomiting and low fever. Not feeling so good myself, now, but hoping it is sympathy feelings. Dealing with vomit was not my strong point in mothering..

Yuck! Fingers crossed that you feel up to hooking up tomorrow!

For those not coming, quick update from my last "cancer speak" post:

    • The one tiny polyp removed during my colonoscopy came back as the aggressive pre cancerous kind ..... again! Sigh. So, another colonoscopy in my future in two years this time. I think I'm going to negotiate with my surgeon and meet him in the middle at 18 months. Maybe, just maybe, we can have a clean one. If not, glad we have the means to find nastiness and squash it before it becomes an issue.
    • I was recently informed I have a compression fracture on my spine, possibly two; one at T6 and a maybe on T11. My oncologist asked if I was in pain (no...thankfully; that's a good sign) and some other questions. He is fairly confident that it has more to do with family history, my medication, and degeneration and not cancer. But, he scheduled my first MRI to be on the safe side and to see just how much damage there is. The good news is still cancer free (Yay!!); bad news is there is evidence of degeneration. I will be seeing an orthopedic person in the next week or so to see what, if anything, changes, med wise. I haven't actually seen the results, so I am anxious to speak to the ortho person to see the results, ask about any exercise restrictions, and what we need to do to prevent more bone loss.

Having the MRI this week and waiting for results brought back memories. I am happy to report that I remained focused on what I knew to be true about my particular cancer, my past checkups, and refused to go to the dark place. I ALMOST went to the dark place a couple of times waiting on test results, but I managed to function until results came in. Much improvement from the anxiety that left me in a fog when I was first diagnosed.

Getting close to the new normal! What a victory!

Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!
