    Hello everyone!

I have had bi-lateral mastectomy with reconstruction 2015. I have been taking Tamoxifen for two years. Side effects, we'll the usual... hot flashes and night sweats. They never go completely but are better sometimes than others. I have just had US done as have had a little spotting since a smear test. Fingers crossed!

Some achy joints but not major. I am planned to be on Tamoxifen for 10 years!

Anyone out there had similar do and uterine issues?

Hate to see these young ages. The average age is 62. However I keep seeing a trend of young women being diagnosed :(

Just turned 52. Checked breasts with ultrasound and 3d mamography 13 months earlier which detected nothing at the time.

Would anyone who did not have a recurrence for 10 years or longer following a lumpectomy care to post their experience?

swimjames--I saw your other thread and wonder if many women who are 10 years NED are on here much. Wish there were another way for you to nudge them--I know there are so many.

(FWIW, I was 51 when I had a little ALH, 58 when I had DCIS, 60 this time with IDC.)

I was 37, last year. Had a leaky nipple for 6 mos, went to OB/Gyn and they did a mammo. It showed nothing, but she sent me to breast specialist and they did an ultrasound which showed a mass, biopsy came back as DCIS, then had breast MRI which showed 4 tumors total in left breast. We did mast, path came back as IDC, then met MO and had all the scans, which showed it was already in 3 places in my bones. Started treatments in Aug 2017.

I am 33 yrs old. I was just diagnosed 4/18/2018. Found lump myself, right breast, then the ultrasound found 2 more next to each other.. Still waiting to find out more specifics & having more testing done. I have a long family history of colon, ovarian, pancreatic & 2nd cousins with breast cancer (None within my first relatives had breast cancer though) so I will have genetic testing done as well. Breast MRI tomorrow then surgical consult Thursday. The only things I know so far is- it's IDC, grade 3, ER-/PR+ HER2+ (3+). I have been having other female issues so they're are getting my referrals together for more tests.

I was 54 when first diagnosed with ILC, and spent 19 years with NED. Now I have been diagnosed with ILC in the other breast at age 73. I feel like an old hand at this breast cancer thing. I have had my surgery and am waiting for an appointment with the MO. If I get another 19 years NED I will be delighted
