Stage 1 High Grade 3 - No hormonal or adjuvant therapy in my case. Hoping to hear from survivors.
Hello Friends I am hoping others in the community are up for sharing some light, support and positivity. I was Pre operatively diagnosed back in July of 2022 through a Mammogram, MRI & Biopsy = cT1-2 N0 IDC/DCIS (10mm mass + linear calcifications in Right LOQ spanning 2cm). And opted for a double mastectomy (without…

Anyone have problems with fatigue prior to diagnosis?
I've been reading on the mayo clinic's website about the many possible causes of fatigue during chemo (I'm in my 3rd chemo cycle); one that is mentioned is that the cancer itself can cause fatigue. I was diagnosed in May with Stage 1 IBC, a 1.1cm tumor, no node involvement. It seems unlikely to me that it would have caused…

Stage 1, grade 1 and pre-menopausal
hi sisters, It has struck me that most grade 1, stage 1 sisters seem to be post-menopausal (aka low estrogen) and younger women seem to be more often stage 2/grade 2. I am 42, recently diagnosed ER positive, still full of estrogen and becoming a little paranoid that there is something different about me or my cancer! I am…

Treatments delayed due to low neutrophils
My neutrophils have dropped to 1.2 and my OC has delayed my chemo treatments. I have had 9 of 12 treatments. How long does it take to recover to a healthy level of neutrophils? I am really devastated and could use some guidance. Thanks

Mammograms! I hate going for Mammograms.
I dont think there is anything that freaks me out more than my yearly mammogram. The fear is overwhelming even though I have had 11 years of normal mammograms after my stage 1 breast cancer. It is incredible how something so life saving can simply cause immense stress and anxiety for me.Chalk up the shortage of mammogram…

Understanding markers
Hi guys! I am coming with a question, maybe some of you know. What is FC and A scores on a breast biops? For example, I have HP G2 grading (FC=3, A=2, M=1). I know M stands for methastasis, but FC and A no idea. I searched on the web but wasn't able to find explanations Thank you all so very much!

Cysts - Do I need to do anything? Im still worrying.
A small (4mm) cyst was found in my left breast in my annual mammogram in January, 2021. I had a follow-up mammogram and ultrasound 6 months later (July 2021) as recommended by the radiologist. That test showed the cyst had increased in size to 5mm. I had another mammo and ultrasound 6 months after that, (January 2022) and…

Kadcyla
I was diagnosed on March 29, 2019 with IDC, went through 6 cycles of TCHP with a plan to then have surgery and continue Herceptin for a full year. I had my surgery (double mastectomy with expanders) on 10/4/19 and there was a small amount (less than 4mm) of residual cancer in the affected breast. 6 lymph nodes were sent…

Chemo or no Chemo? 😬
Hi Everyone, I am 30 years old and was recently diagnosed with stage 1A breast cancer and had a double mastectomy about 3 weeks ago. I just got my results back for the oncotype and the dr recommends chemo. The score came back 19 out of 100, which means there's a 6% chance of it coming back, but that percentage doubles…

Why am I so afraid of mammograms?
Tomorrow I have my mammogram. If all is well, I will be 10 years since my diagnosis. Each year, life stands still until I get my mammogram. I don't plan and my anxiety goes off the wall. I wish I knew how to control this, I know the odds are good. Does anyone also experience this? Any coping mechanisms? Lola

Swollen bilateral axillary lymph nodes post mastectomy
I had a mastectomy on my right side only in late June 2021. Had revision surgery 5 weeks ago. My calcium level in my blood has been elevated all year so my oncologist ordered a CT scan and bone scan. CT came back with swollen bilateral axillary lymph nodes. My oncologist wants to see me first thing Monday morning. I had 3…

Should I have chemo

RSClin oncotype scores
I have heard there is a new way of looking at the oncotype score that is a tool that takes into account your clinical features and gives an even more accurate predictive and diagnostic score. Does anyone know how you can find your RCSlin? I have a one centimeter ILC, node negative, grade 2 tumor and was 68 at diagnosis. I…

How can someone jump from 1A to 4 quickly?
So I'm lurking on all the boards and I keep seeing women with my type of numbers suddenly being diagnosed as Stage 4 fairly quickly. Yet, according to the SOFT study, 98.6% of Stage 1A women taking Tamox and no chemo don't have any Distance Mets at 5 years. Why am I seeing such a disconnect? One of my concerns is that…

"Dumped" by my oncologist after 3 years
Well 'dumped' may be too strong a word, but that is how I felt. As my oncologist was leaving the room after my last appointment, he casually mentioned that I would be seeing the Nurse Practioner instead of him from now on, though I would still be under his care if I needed further treatment. Then he just walked out the…
