What a cool array of very different photos! From the ocean to the moon to a sloth. Great pics!
I did get my long lens working and had a tiny bit of time on my last day visiting my Mom. I am back home now and had some camera time as well today.
Here is a male hummer that I don't get to see too of often as the females outnumber them at this nature center and at my house.

Today I was looking for Halloween Pennant dragonflies but they were too evasive and having to walk in very tall grass only for them to fly. I did find this beautiful Spicebush Swallowtail in the mean time.

Just popping in to say that Lisa’s hummingbird is a Rufous. They tend to be more aggressive than other hummingbirds. I am a birdwatcher and check this thread for bird pictures. Thanks, ladies!0

Thank you ladies. I really do appreciate your feedback. I will enter this butterfly pic in the ongoing photo competition that I have done for a few years.
Thank you peregrine for answering that question. I have read that those hummingbirds are more aggressive than some. Our ruby throated hummers can be pretty aggressive as well but maybe not as much as those. I bought my first good set of binoculars this year in hopes that it would help me in my bird photography. I have found birdwatchers are such nice and helpful people always wanting to share their experiences when they see me with my binoculars.

Lisa, love the bird photos. So many that I don't see here. Great shots. I love the sweet little bird in the first photo. Do you know what that is?

is the last one a mockingbird or a catbird

I have my third brain MRI tomorrow. I just took this pic tonight. My first rainbow ever. I hoping this is a good sign.

Looks like a good sign to me. Hope all is well tomorrow.

Thanks Wren. The first two brain MRI's revealed two different opinions of what the tumor is. So that doesn't make things easy. The main thing I am hoping for is that it has not grown as it is in a very difficult place in the base of the brain.

Thank you ladies. I got a really bad scare today. I was still in bed and I heard my voice mail saying the Medical Group I am in. It was funny because I was awake and the thought crossed my mind that it might be them calling. I flew out of bed and I thought it was my neurologist saying she had an opening at noon if I wanted to come in. Well, that really scared me thinking this cannot be good news since I already had an apt with her in a couple of weeks. Long story short it was quite a fiasco. When I got there the nurse said I don't know who called you as your radiologist is not done with your report. I saw the doctor anyway and she apologized. It was her own receptionist who did the calling but why will remain a mystery. So at this point I am relieved that it wasn't bad news but still waiting for the report.
Lisa, I am pretty sure we have Phoebe here but I guess I didn't know what they looked like. Not sure about black ones either. Very cute.
Magic, what a beautiful picture which I am supposing is an early morning photo. That is a type of photo at the rate I am going will never capture. LOL (Late to bed and late to rise) After getting up at 4am for the last ten years of my teaching career I am making up for it now!!!!
Lisa, that is a pretty pic of a Monarch. I had a lady run me down (not literally) when I was out with my camera looking for butterflies the other day. She sold Monarch raising kits and was trying to get me interested. She said she released 500 of them this year and was hoping for a 1000. I am too busy going back and forth to my Mom's but it sounded interesting. I know you get to see some of that cycle with you milkweed plants. Do the hummingbirds like to feast on caterpillars?
Cathy, thanks. Still praying for you as well.
