My VERY BAD grandcat. DD sent a video too. He’s having great fun climbing around in the tree. Probably will be on floor tonight.

Spookie, This is the time to have a tree tall enough to anchor at the top as well as the bottom. Only our first cat was in to tree climbing. Several others have been into ornament breaking.

One of our cats was into climbing in the tree and looking out at us until he got too big. His brother liked to knock ornaments off the tree. As I had some very old ornaments that changed quickly to lights, candy canes and bows. Every day he would undecorate the tree and I redid it. Starting on Christmas Day, I would like him do it to his heart's content. Saved me time when the holidays were over.

Found a card one year of a cat sitting looking at a decorated tree. Points were given for knocking off the ornaments. The higher up they were the higher the points. Needless to say, those were my cards that year.

    Funny Kath😂.

This guy blew in with the last hurricane. He’s the nosiest cat, into EVERYTHING beats up on his sister, not afraid of my dogs, really a cool cat. Except for this. I wish I could post the video. He’s really having a great time.

My cats have never shown too much interest in the tree. I have one now that likes to hide under it and jump out at people, and we used to have one that just loved to lay under it for some reason. None of them have tried to climb it, thankfully.

When I use to put up a tree, it was sorta in the corner near our stairs. The best one was when they chased each other from upstairs jumpingthrough the railing going through the tree into the living room. And yes, it went over. Luckily, I was into the candy cane/bow phase.

Loving the cat/Christmas tree stories. Mine is a hellion but has not paid that much attention to the tree. Thank God! ;)

I have a new cat this year so wasn’t sure what she would do with the tree. She has ignore it. But Parker likes to sleep under it in the evenings. Look close, she’s that black blob by the red ornament. Last couple years she has knocked over the tree several times. Guess she’s finally growing up. She’ll stay under the tree until I go to bed, then she follows me to the bedroom.

Ok, not a cat story but I think you'll like this one. We had a dog years ago. One evening I see the tree moving. He was standing under it rocking back and forth scratching his back on one of the lower limbs.

I tell my boy dogs every year this is NOT indoor plumbing for them. They never have tried😂.

DD2 has a cat that loves to drink water from the Christmas tree stand. I found a particularly strong scented tree this year for her. She tells me he isn't drinking the stand dry as in past years. I'm wondering if the water has a stronger taste this year. He isn't very discerning thoughwhere his water comes from. Shower, toilet or his water bowl.

    RIP Tacey. What a beauty.

    Handsome Merlin.

(I had a Merlin, now many years departed, he was a marmalade tabby.)

Tacey was a purebred blue point Himalayan Persian. She was incredibly sweet.

Merlin is a rescue. He appeared out of nowhere one afternoon. Tiny little kitten running away from some dogs. So we grabbed him and took him home after searching for his litter. We named him Merlin because of his “out of nowhere” appearance. He is a mess. I’ve never had a male cat before, he’s only my second cat, so we are learning each other lol.
