You fosterers amaze me. I would never have the fortitude to give them up. I suppose, if I were the one screening potential owners.

Fall is a great time in my house for good light for indoor cat pics and got two that I love of my Joey Roo. The first one I posted in Facebook and a watercolor artist I follow wanted to paint it - Hell ya! Taken with the iPad mini, I think.

What wonderful natural light there Quinn, automatically makes Joey Roo's portraits look like paintings - even before someone has picked up a brush!!

Love the "kittins". How nice to know they all got homes Teach.

The first photo looks like an old Dutch master's painting. Wonderful quality of light.

KB870 - yes Devon Rex. Do you know the breed? OMG, they are such incredible beings...more like puppies. This one fetches.

I will probably paint one of them (in oil). Next year, after I finish the cat painting I am on now and the forgery for next year's annual forgery show. I am a very slow painter. Or just have one of the large photos made LOL.

I love black cats! In fact, in the UK, they are considered to be good luck.

    Hi Spookie, thanks for asking.

Yes whole country experienced Ophelia yesterday. This was unprecedented for Ireland. We sometimes get tail ends of 'American' hurricanes after they spin across the Atlantic, but much downgraded into bad winter storms, and not usually affecting the entire country. We were very fortunate as the event was well forecast so country went into complete shutdown. No school, no post, no public transport, all workplaces shut. Only emergency services were at work. This undoubtedly saved lives. It was a most eerie sensation waiting for it to arrive. Photos from one of the country's busiest motorways yesterday afternoon showed it completely deserted. Sadly 3 people did die, all of whom did not follow the instruction to stay indoors. They may have had what seemed like the greatest reason for doing what they did, I do not know any of them, but it is beyond doubt that modern forecasting, the complete shutdown and the government and road safety authority instructions to stay indoors saved many lives. My family have been very fortunate, DH's poly tunnel for the tomatoes is a goner but we didn't lose electricity. About a third of the country is without power this morning so it will be a long wait for some people. Ireland, UK and France have a reciprocal arrangement where we all send work crews to each other's countries but UK and France are also dealing with damage. Anyway extremely thankful and grateful to have come through.

Good to hear from you you're ok. Was going to ask Zills if you didn't post.

Yes, they are scarey storms. We lost power for 2 miserable days with the last one. Our street was cleaned up last week. I feel so bad for those in Puerto Rico and the other islands. Really bad there. A friend is going to Dublin today. Yes we have those agreements too. I saw trucks from Canada working on our power lines.

Happy you are ok, now back to cats😎.

This is my guy I wrote about the other day -- suspected heart issues. Well, looks like lung cancer. And he doesn't smoke! Ha ha -- that is sad cancer humor. I guess 2017 is the year of cancer for us. It was caught late -- and after all I've done myself and watched others here go through -- I would not put him through any medical procedures past what I had to do to find out what this was. (He's 15.) But I had hoped for more time. Don't we all?

EastcoastTS, I'm sorry about his diagnosis. Enjoy whatever time you have left with him. And I agree that treatment would be extremely hard for a 15yo kitty. Blessings for you both.

EastcoastTS - So sorry to hear about your lovely boy. Hope you are able to spend some more time with him until he goes across the rainbow bridge. I still say goodnight to the kitties from my past, I call them kitty ghosters and say goodnight to each by name.

What a handsome boy, EastCoast. Enjoy your time with him. We lost a cat to cancer many years ago - still miss that sweet girl. Our furry babies give us so much comfort and love.

EastCoast, I add my sympathies to those already expressed and hope your lovely marmalade boy will be happy and comfortable and content for as long as he can be spared to you. He is clearly well loved. XXX

EastcoastTS ~ Damn cancer. I lost my dear, almost 14 year old, German Shepherd July 10th. Her cancer was found by chance during a check-up about 7 months before. Also too advanced to be treated. I agree that putting a senior fur baby through rads and chemo and such would be too much. Better to have peaceful times at home, surrounded by love, than to be scared, sick and confused by treatments. My heart goes out to you. May you and your handsome gentleman have may more sweet days together. ((hugs))

Ceila ~ Kitty Ghosters! I knew I wasn't imagining those mysterious leg rubs and bed thumps from unseen critters 💕

On a happier note - Lil Bub is sponsering a free can of Halo for National Cat Day Tommorow. Each coupon claimed online will be matched by Halo for one can of food for a shelter. There is also a contest for one person to nominate their favorite shelter for 10,000 bowls of food from Halo. If you live outside the US, you can still claim the coupon to allow a donation to be made.

Thanks to everyone who replied here. I APPRECIATE it. Unfortunately, we said goodbye to my little guy on Oct 20. I'm finding it somewhat difficult to process after 15+ years with him.

We had the vet come to the house for as much peace as I could provide. And I gave him so much attention the last week/half. Probably more than he wanted. ;) I literally was not sleeping for worrying over him. I just didn't know what else to do. He was no longer interested in eating (in fact, I wonder if something was painful there) and force feeding was getting to be hard on both of us. Sleep constant, mobility not great. He just went downhill quickly. A bit shocking.

I'm an animal person but losing them just brings heartache. Heart
