Feline, Sorry to hear of Arthur's affliction. I don't have any knowledge about HCM. My cat had CHF. It's always a bonus when he's good about taking his meds. I hope the new regime gives him many more years. Five is so young. I've never tried cheese and mayo, but it sounds like a good combo.

I have had my Siamese cats one at a time over the last 55 years. I had one die while I was in treatment in 2007/ then I had 3 die over the next 7 years all rescue Siamese. Now I have a sweet younger healthy one about 3 years old that I found on Craig's List and need to be rehomed for a small fee. Love her so much she gives me a reason to get up in morning even when I don't feel good from all 4 cancers and side affects. I loved all my Meezers and each one a little different but all loved me so much. I couldn't still be alive without my sweet Meezers. I was originally diagnosed in 2006, with IBC stage 3B.

Siamese are such a unique breed. They’re mouthy and smart and generally annoying, all wrapped up in a beautiful fawn coat and dazzling blue eyes. They’re hard to resist.

Well, I have an announcement. We adopted Puck and Salem a couple of months ago. There were two other kittens left and only one was adopted. Their remaining brother is Puck’s twin and it was bugging me that he was alone. And Puck wants badly to wrestle. His sister is not interested and although Xena is totally like “bring it!” she’s simply too big for that to be safe.

Crawfish - I only have one crotchety old Maine Coon, but we love her dearly. I would have 50 cats if I could! Did you ever see the ad for that island off Greece where they were looking for someone to take care of their 55-60 cats for a year? The deal included pay, food, and a lovely house. All you had to do is look after the cats! Apparently they had over 35,000 offers/resumes! I would have been perfect for the job but i couldn't get my husband to agree!

It was a huge slinky, I’ve never seen one that big. Cat couldn’t quite figure out what it was, he’s pretty nosey usually.

Hi Susan, thank you. Arthur is taking his meds very well, thank God, as he is now on a 3 tablet regime instead of a single tablet. Of course these tablets are actually halves or quarters so that does help! He is also eating much better since starting the new meds so that is good also. He still hasn't been cured of his general disdain for our 9 month old juvenile cat Elliott, there is no med for that. The cardiac specialist vet's prognosis was a year but as you know from these boards a prognosis is only an educated guess, people and animals definitely defy expectations and the vet said he would love to be wrong.
